17/03/2026: My family of three had a lovely lunch at Tabarin Osteria Popolare in Reggio Emilia. The restaurant is right in the historic center near the cathedral and the local market. It was completely full, and luckily my husband made a reservation for 2:00 pm or we would not have gotten a table. We started with a delicious local salumi (meat) tray served with warm bread. My son loved his carbonara, and my husband had tortellini in Parmigiano sauce, which was excellent. If you are visiting Reggio Emilia, I definitely recommend this spot. Great food and a lively local atmosphere.

21/12/2025: Excellent service, all the products are excellent, we just opened a new place and of course who do we trust for aperitifs? Gnocco pizza and erbazzone, super good 😍 The staff is always super smiling and kind. (Their erbazzone is the best in Reggio and the surrounding area)

22/02/2026: Terrible experience. Very noisy place, tables literally jammed together, waiters wandering around the place, sometimes doing nothing. Ordered dishes arrived after a long wait, and after urging the waiter, we finally managed to eat. Mediocre food, prices of a high-end restaurant. Personally, I recommend not going given the experience.

07/03/2026: The seafood lasagna and caciucco were delicious, with generous portions, which was confirmed by seeing other diners' dishes. The service was attentive and friendly, and the prices were absolutely fair. It was our first time, but we'll definitely be back.

31/03/2026: We had lunch at the inn and I must say we had a great time. The place is beautiful, with a very suggestive summer setting (a beautiful view of the Reggio Emilia Apennines) and a view of the Bismantova stone. We were welcomed with kindness and professionalism. The presence of our dog, Blacky, was not a problem. Traditional cuisine, but also something special. Very good wines. The prices are excellent considering the high quality. We returned a second time, remembering the good impression we had the first time. Everything confirmed, a beautiful place, where you feel comfortable (I recommend it). No one should be offended (it's where we stayed best in the area). A special thanks to Marzia for her kindness.

29/03/2026: Family lunch at this restaurant with a stunning view of the Pietra di Bismantova. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the welcome, the cuisine, and the friendliness of both the owner, Marzia, and the service from the young and smiling Giulia. And what can I say about the dishes cooked by Sonia and Rachida...🔝!!! Highly recommended!!!

The atmosphere is pleasant and refined, and the staff stands out for their great professionalism and customer service. They listened to my request and fulfilled it perfectly, demonstrating a rare level of care and helpfulness. A truly positive experience, highly recommended!

12/02/2026: Stopped by with a friend on a Saturday for lunch. The owner was incredibly helpful in finding us a table even though we hadn't booked. The place immediately evokes the feel of a 1970s club. Despite everything, the tables are set with impeccable professionalism. The cuisine is the same as it used to be, as we used to eat at our grandparents' house on holidays. The dishes are tasty but well-proportioned, neither minute nor overdone. A must-try is the cart of fantastic boiled meats; watching them arrive reveals the quality of the ingredients, accompanied by succulent sauces and pickled vegetables, also reminiscent of past flavors. The Lambrusco is one of those dark ones that stain the glass. The price is standard for Reggio Emilia, but it's not cheap. The service is attentive and meticulous.

07/02/2026: Title: EMBARRASSMENT AND CRAZY PRICES. RUN AWAY. Review: I strongly advise against this place to anyone who doesn't want to be ripped off. There were eight of us here and we paid €43 each, an outrageous sum for the service we received. The lack of transparency was total: we weren't given a menu, a tactic clearly designed to hide the prices before the bill. The appetizer was an insult: €20 per person for a ridiculous little plate with three slices of prosciutto, two of salami, and two of coppa, plus some mortadella and parmesan in the center of the table. Paying €160 for appetizers alone for such a paltry amount is madness that can't be justified in any restaurant in the area. The wine management was also terrible: two bottles of Lambrusco were served already opened (a totally unfair practice) and had an undrinkable iron-like taste. The worst moment was at the register: after we complained about the price of our appetizer, the manager tried to give us €40 back in cash to settle the matter. A pitiful gesture that confirms their bad faith: they knew full well they'd inflated the bill, hoping we wouldn't say anything.

01/02/2026: Welcoming place, fantastic people, professional waiters, and a superb pizza chef—everything was delicious and excellent! We'll definitely be back; I think the pizzas are the best in the entire province of Reggio Emilia.
