19/03/2024: We spent a pleasant evening at the Saloon restaurant-pizzeria in Castelnovo Sotto, renowned for its pan pizza, a typical interpretation of the deep pizza. Outside, the place recalls the atmosphere of a typical American saloon, while the inside is large, with tables decorated in a slightly retro style. After a few minutes, a waiter showed up to take our orders and we all opted for the pan pizza. As time passed, the place filled up quickly, with many people coming in to order take-out pizzas. We waited about half an hour before being served. The pizza turned out to be tasty, with a well-cooked and leavened dough, fresh and generous ingredients. Despite the thicker consistency than traditional pizzerias, the pizza was light, easy to enjoy and very digestible. Furthermore, the restaurant also offers pizzas in the classic format. The service, although a little slow due to the crowd, could improve, as some of the young waiters seemed to still be learning. If you want to savor this type of pizza in a quiet atmosphere and enjoy an excellent meal, the Saloon is the right place for you, although it is advisable to improve waiting times and the preparation of the waiters.

17/03/2024: Apparently looking at it from the outside the impression is that it is closed, but upon entering you find a welcoming place ideal for a Sunday lunch. Tender and tasty angel cutlets. Perfect children's menu, cutlet and chips. Inviting grills served at the table with a mini grill to keep the meat warm. Different varieties of empanadas, I recommend the meat ones. Trained and very courteous staff. Not far away are the Camporanieri lakes “La fornace” ideal for a digestive walk. We'll be back!
