Excellent Neapolitan pizza with a high crust and soft and fragrant panuozzi, all super stuffed with excellent ingredients. Small place, more takeaway, but if you want there are some tables with chairs on the porch. You will also find a good selection of fried foods and especially fried pizza, as well as other delicacies. 24/03/2024: La Piola is an institution in Reggio Emilia, pan pizzas with only 2 flavors but you won't miss other options, eat them folded in half while walking or take them home to reheat, they're delicious! Very fast and very courteous service, good.

Refined, gourmet pizzas, with truly unique flavours. You have to book weeks in advance, because the place is small and there aren't many tables. Better to eat there than take away, because the pizza is really good if eaten on the spot; if it is put in the pizza box it completely changes the flavour. Absolutely worth trying at least once in your life. Then you will always go there, guaranteed

27/03/2024: Excellent service, quick arrival of the pizza. Friendly and helpful staff. Wide choice of pizzas and more. The desserts are much improved. The 4 stars and not 5 because the pizzas, in my opinion, should be a little more seasoned, or at least the management ask for an extra and relative garnish (right extra cost), in this way the customer has more customization for their own tastes . The place is new, but the soundproofing is not very efficient when the room is full, but this is a non-pizza discussion. On Saturday evenings it's packed, it's best to book, otherwise there's a long wait before a table becomes free.

06/04/2024: I ordered the pizza for 8.30pm, I went to get it at the appointed time, they kept saying that the pizza was almost ready, the problem is that the pizza was ready for 9.40pm; of the people who ordered pizza later and left early. I advise against booking if you don't have time to waste.

There were 6 of us, each waiter brought one pizza at a time and the first person waited at least 3/4 minutes before at least another pizza arrived. They didn't welcome us by asking us if we wanted a drink, I had to call them. They put us in the cold expanse and the pellet stove was off. They brought us an extra beer, but given the situation we kept it anyway..

19/03/2024: We spent a pleasant evening at the Saloon restaurant-pizzeria in Castelnovo Sotto, renowned for its pan pizza, a typical interpretation of the deep pizza. Outside, the place recalls the atmosphere of a typical American saloon, while the inside is large, with tables decorated in a slightly retro style. After a few minutes, a waiter showed up to take our orders and we all opted for the pan pizza. As time passed, the place filled up quickly, with many people coming in to order take-out pizzas. We waited about half an hour before being served. The pizza turned out to be tasty, with a well-cooked and leavened dough, fresh and generous ingredients. Despite the thicker consistency than traditional pizzerias, the pizza was light, easy to enjoy and very digestible. Furthermore, the restaurant also offers pizzas in the classic format. The service, although a little slow due to the crowd, could improve, as some of the young waiters seemed to still be learning. If you want to savor this type of pizza in a quiet atmosphere and enjoy an excellent meal, the Saloon is the right place for you, although it is advisable to improve waiting times and the preparation of the waiters.

The menu has a nice selection and all the dishes we ordered were excellent. Even though the place was full we were served very quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommended
