25/07/2025: After a few years, I returned to Bologna and was delighted to return to this restaurant for some excellent tagliatelle with ragù and some excellent crostini.

20/08/2025: Prices are higher than in other cafes, but not better or nicer. Cappuccino €2.80, coffee €1.25. We really needed a break after traveling around Bologna all day.

18/08/2025: A small, well-kept and welcoming bar on Via Rizzoli. The three ladies behind the counter are a force to be reckoned with: incredibly friendly, with a laugh that instantly puts you in a good mood. Professional, yet at the same time, they make you feel like you're at a friend's house!

25/08/2025: Don't miss this beautiful chocolate shop in the heart of Bologna. Decorated entirely in warm cocoa tones, it's a gourmand's paradise. The truffles and orange peels are unmissable, as are the rum pralines.

20/04/2025: Easter Egg 2025 "SURPRISE?!?!" Oh no, the egg must ALSO be the surprise (especially for children), this time we're not quite there, you can't imagine the disappointment of the grandchildren when they saw the surprise. I won't say anything else so as not to reveal to those who haven't opened it yet, but there was a lot of regret. The quality is always excellent but the surprise...an unexpected slip.

01/08/2025: We felt cheated, or rather, unwelcome. A business lunch for 20 people, a pre-arranged menu at €40 per person, included 9 tortellini with ragù, 12 overcooked penne all'arrabbiata, macaroni with cream, ham, and peas (not appraised). Then a grilled skewer, a sausage stamp, a small square of pancetta, and a piece of sirloin per person, potatoes and a lightly cooked friggione, and finally a trio of desserts to sample. To forget.

19/08/2025: The atmosphere is pleasant and informal, with a lovely view of the Cloisters and Gardens of San Domenico. We were seated immediately, but unfortunately, we had a very long wait for pre-order service. The food is also informal, with piadinas, sandwiches, salads, and more.

28/08/2025: I could overlook the annoying 80s neon lights The tortellini broth as salty as the sea The unjustified cover charge for two loaves of bread that weren't even fresh But I couldn't overlook the rudeness of the owner when it came to the bill, who remained at the counter chatting with us while we waited for the bill in a truly arrogant manner We will never return.

04/05/2025: A real institution in the city. The only place to eat well quickly at all hours, and find a selection of spirits from all over the world, distilled from the post-war period to today.

07/03/2025: What a great experience! Warm, very family-friendly welcome. Nono's visit was truly touching. And the dishes are so typical, very different from what you can find in the city center. Really delicious: the beef and artichoke carpaccio: killer 😉

27/08/2025: Highly recommended. I ordered an appetizer and tortelloni with cream, along with a tiramisu for dessert, and both were the best I've ever tasted. A true delight for my palate. The chef was very kind, helpful, skilled, and fast. The atmosphere was very clean and tidy. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to try typical Bolognese food. It's an excellent restaurant, and I'll definitely be back!

26/07/2025: It was raining so hard so we chose somewhere close to the accommodation. So glad we did. The interior is cosy, warm and quiet. No waiting for 30 minutes outside a place for some mid pasta like a lot of the restaurants popping up all over Bologna. The food is comforting and excellent value for money, €5 for a carafe of excellent house wine, €10 for a pasta dish and €15 for perfectly seasoned and cooked steak. We got the rosemary and sea salt steak with rosemary potato wedges on the side. Tortellini with butter, sage and Parmesan and to finish home made tiramisu. Everything was delicious. This is a hidden gem and a must if you’re close by and want to avoid all the tourist traps.

14/09/2025: Old-fashioned place, just what I like, simple but welcoming. Very kind owner, excellent and plentiful food. The fiordilatte is amazing!!!

24/08/2025: Excellent experience. Nine of us came, ordered three first courses, and then a mix of crescentine and tigelle with: cold cuts; fried polenta; stewed beans; stewed ribs; squacquerone cheese; and lard. Finally, five desserts and a limoncello each, kindly offered. We ate until we burst, pampered by the very kind owners. The food was excellent and truly delicious. All for €22 per person.

21/08/2025: A very well-kept rustic-style restaurant. Delicious thin-crust pizza, excellent porcini mushroom tagliatelle, superb fried polenta with squaccherone and profiteroles. If you find yourself in Castel del Rio, it's definitely worth a stop. Excellent value. We'll definitely be back.

27/07/2025: Beautiful rustic-style tavern, welcoming atmosphere. Overall, I liked it! Excellent tagliata, a little less sweet and coffee, to be honest... If I ever come back to Castel del Rio, I'll definitely go back.

01/09/2025: Excellent and plentiful pizza, pizza delivery quickly. Cons: mosquito-ridden outside and unlivable inside for me given my tobacco allergy. Because the lady at the cash register was constantly smoking icos, I had to go out because I felt sick.
