The staff, led by Hicram, is young, efficient, knowledgeable, and very, very courteous. The cherry on top, even if he's more of a cherry on top, is Marco. 21/08/2025: This restaurant was right across the street from our hotel. Homemade pasta was a revelation. The owners are super friendly. The dishes are incredibly delicious. We were lucky enough to get food here several times. Of course, you can also eat in; the restaurant is on a dead-end street, meaning there's virtually no traffic. I'd love to come back.

The quality of the ingredients, all fresh and locally sourced, shines through in every dish: authentic flavors, generous portions, and thoughtful yet unfussy presentation. The menu respects seasonality and highlights rural tradition with a touch of creativity. The homemade first courses are unforgettable—the tagliatelle with Cinta Senese ragù was simply perfect—and the grilled meats, cooked to perfection and served with garden vegetables. The assortment of antipasti was also very popular, including local cured meats and cheeses accompanied by homemade preserves. All accompanied by a truly excellent house red wine. The staff is friendly and attentive, present but never intrusive. The atmosphere is rustic and warm, overlooking the countryside: the ideal place for a quiet, romantic, or family dinner. Fair prices for such high quality. We'll definitely be back, even just for the pleasure of tasting those authentic flavors again!

09/08/2025: Il Pirata del Porto: the pasta was a bit of a challenge, but the sauce was a real treat A Pearl of the Sea in the Heart of Bologna I had the opportunity to dine at the "Il Pirata del Porto" restaurant in Bologna, and the experience was overwhelmingly positive. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service courteous, making my stay immediately enjoyable. For my lunch, I opted for a classic, spaghetti allo scoglio, accompanied by water and coffee, for a final bill of €22.50. The portion was generous, and above all, the sauce was remarkable: a truly rich, flavorful seafood dish that fully met my expectations. Octopus, mussels, clams, shrimp, and even lobster blended together in a well-balanced sauce, making every bite a true pleasure. If I really had to find a small criticism, it was the pasta itself. While not bad, I found it slightly overcooked, lacking the perfect al dente consistency that best enhances a dish of this type. This is a minor sin, but it detracted from the overall experience. Overall, "Il Pirata del Porto" remains an excellent choice for those looking to enjoy quality seafood in Bologna. With a little improvement in the cooking of the pasta, the dish would have been truly perfect.

02/06/2025: I always try to eat here when I stay in Parma as I have found it is the best for seafood and it a nice alternative to the gnocchi fritto and crudo ham you find everywhere!! The quality of the food is excellent and the dishes inventive and varied. The service is very good and the restaurant is located in a quiet square in the town center with a nice outside seating area. Advisable to book. Highly recommended.

02/09/2025: We celebrated our wedding at the end of August at Antica Pieve and are still in awe of the beauty of this place, both we and all our guests. From the first phone call, even though we weren't familiar with the venue, Daniela won us over with her professionalism and hospitality, the wonderful photos, and the varied menu options for a typical Bolognese menu, featuring local products, dishes cooked on-site, and at competitive prices compared to Bologna. We had practically already made up our minds before even seeing the venue and trying the cuisine! Once we saw and tasted it, we were absolutely sold, and the party confirmed and exceeded every expectation. Michele, the owner's son, handled all the logistics with precision and punctuality and gave us peace of mind that everything was under control. With a little organization and the help of Daniela and Michele, we didn't need a wedding planner. Even the cake, baked that same morning by Daniela on-site, received compliments from everyone. Excellent advice on local florists and also on how to schedule the day for us, as we had the civil ceremony in Bologna that morning. Parking was convenient for our guests. A great "Plan B" option, even though we were very lucky with the weather. No one complained about the distance, because the agriturismo and its scenery make all the effort worthwhile. We are truly overjoyed and can't wait to return for dinner or another occasion. Thank you so much to everyone who worked to make this wonderful day possible!

04/09/2025: I was quite disappointed with my reservation experience at "Da Gianni." As a community educator for adults with disabilities, I contacted the restaurant to reserve a table for 13 people, including a wheelchair user and several young people, three of whom were lactose intolerant. I looked at the menu and noticed that there were many meat-based main courses that might be suitable for our needs. However, when I called to confirm the reservation, they told me they couldn't accommodate us because the space was too small. I guess they don't accept large groups for lunch (?). Not only did they ignore our needs, they also mentioned something I'd never mentioned (that someone was celiac), which made me feel like we weren't being listened to properly. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant for groups with special needs or for those looking for attentive, professional service.

07/08/2025: The best ice creams from our various trips to Italy!!! A must-see "gastronomic" stop in Ferrara, about a 20-minute walk from the cathedral. And a wonderfully informative chat with the woman who makes her ice cream with love and without industrial chemicals. Excellent natural and original flavors, ice cream that doesn't melt in a minute despite the summer heat. Go for it!

12/08/2025: Very nice place, friendly staff. Some dishes are very good, like the baozi, ravioli, and dandan noodles. Others, like the grilled tofu, are disappointing.
