03/10/2025: Experience at the Botteri vinegar factory... Top

23/09/2025: The property is located in the beautiful Modena countryside, not far from the city. There you can visit Chef Bottura's ancient vinegar factory. The tour is exclusively in English (for the Italian tour, you must make a separate reservation)... but why, if we're in Italy and the entire group of visitors that morning is Italian? After the tour, you can enjoy a tasting and purchase the chef's selection of balsamic vinegars, and among the many bottles of Modena's Black Gold, you'll also find 250/500 ml bottles of Bottura's signature oil at the same price... when asked why? What's the difference? The kind young lady who guided us... got bogged down and had a hard time explaining the difference and why they were the same price. Two anonymous little bottles, disconnected from their very generalized geographical context in education and rather tied solely to business.

03/11/2025: I only had lunch, not the stay, but my experience was very positive. First of all, the place is very charming, nestled between an ancient village and a beautiful forest. The elevated position also offers glimpses of the landscape, which becomes incredibly colorful in autumn. The rectory has a very pleasant outdoor area (season permitting). The menu features traditional dishes with a twist: red ravioli, gnocchi with artichoke sauce, and passatelli, to name a few. The atmosphere is very welcoming, in what feels a bit like grandma's house... The staff is very young but courteous and efficient, truly good without being servile. Finally, the owner welcomes everyone warmly and guides you through the menu, making you feel at home.

28/10/2025: Excellent food, with attention to detail. The location is stunning, surrounded by woods and chestnut groves. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A truly delightful lunch!

25/07/2025: I've been there a few times for dinner. The pizza and pinsa are very good, made with quality ingredients. Attentive service, and the atmosphere, both inside and out, is very nice. I'll definitely be back.

04/11/2025: I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes. I had a torta fritta with exceptional parmesan cheese. And the pumpkin risotto was fantastic. I'll definitely be back.

08/11/2025: My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here and we didn't regret it. Everything was excellent and delicious. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend it.

07/10/2025: Super breakfast with two buts Dondi has always been my number one place for breakfast, not just in Modena Amazing cappuccino Usually excellent pastries Today, the chocolate braids and the ones with raisins didn't seem as fresh as usual, a hint of dissatisfaction, even though I'm used to the superior quality of this pastry shop where I've been going, albeit intermittently, for decades. There's a second issue: Tables occupied by people who had long since finished eating; it was 9:30. It would be enough to come by and clear the table; it's part of the service. By doing so, those who lack the sensitivity and education to understand that there are people standing, waiting, and standing, eating would probably understand the need to clear the table and make room for those who have a better right to it. These are two points for improvement. Not criticisms. I'm truly sorry not to give Dondi pastry shop the 5 stars it deserves for many reasons, and certainly not just today.

26/09/2025: A very nice little place for breakfast. Savory and sweet specialties. Fair prices and great taste. It seems to be an insider tip, even among the locals. We'd love to go back!

05/10/2025: Excellent!! Impeccable value for money, both the food and the pizza were good; I've been back several times to try both and have never been disappointed, always satisfied. I've finally decided to review it, but I'll be back again to post more photos of other dishes. Well done, well done, keep it up.

04/10/2025: Very high-quality restaurant and pizzeria, especially the pizza. The wait was moderate, and the service was excellent, especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the waitress, Afe. Even though the restaurant was very busy, she managed to find us a table for two despite our somewhat demanding requests! 🔝
