20/09/2025: Good fish dishes and attentive service.

14/09/2025: I'm very sorry to give this rating, but unfortunately, I'm not a person who is easily fooled. I came to eat with my family this evening. We ordered several dishes, but we were truly disappointed, especially with the fish. I ordered grilled salmon, which had no grill marks; it was simply boiled, probably previously, and then seared lightly to recreate the illusion of grilling. The dish was, in fact, full of water; the flavor was nonexistent, as it was probably boiled and left aside. The spaghetti with clams was actually just clams, as the molluscs were not the right size. This dish also tasted washed out; it had no fish or seafood flavor; it seemed as if everything had been boiled and then poured over the pasta. We thought the pasta sauce was butter-based, but the waiter claimed it wasn't, so it's just that the cooking water, which remained in contact with the pasta for too long, created starch balls. In short, wash the pots. The final panna cotta had a consistency similar to ricotta, lacking in flavor and watery. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he immediately became heated and agitated, justifying everything in a truly rude manner, without apologizing or even expressing regret, but subtly calling us ignorant. De gustibus non est disputandum, but rudeness is a fact; you don't treat customers like that. The restaurant wasn't even full enough to rely on haste and efficiency; we were truly miserable. We were treated poorly, and the food was even worse. I'm sorry I'm not giving it a star because the place is truly beautiful, but everything else wasn't worth it, especially having to put up with the waiter's arrogance and rudeness.

28/10/2025: Probably the best restaurant we ate at in Italy. The portions were excellent and not small. The ingredients were of very high quality. We were a bit rude when we entered while waiting for a seat to become available, but other than that it was a great experience!

26/10/2025: We obviously enjoyed our lunch because I had no desire to put down my fork and knife to capture images of our food. Biagio, the chef and owner of Ristorante Mamima offers a nice selection of classic Italian Antipasti, Primi and Secundi course options. We had an eggplant, sausage and tomato sauce starter then tried the ribeye and flank steak with mushroom sauce. The side of roasted potatoes and large cut French Fries were excellent. And…Tiramisu! The restaurant offers a decent selection of Italian white and red wines from the low 20’s to 80 Euros. If you are in or near Bologna, please plan to make time for a meal here! 💥💥❤️🇨🇭

29/09/2025: Good hotel in a quiet location. The location is a bit remote from the center but right next to the bus stop, so the center (bus number 90, destination Piazza Cavour) can be reached easily and inexpensively. Buses run from morning to evening about every 15 minutes. It is not worth taking a car to the center of Bologna, because the center is a forbidden area for cars and it is difficult to find parking places near the city. However, it is good to have a car if you are staying here, as there is little to see in the San Lazzaro area. However, a good pizzeria is nearby! The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. Good breakfast, and excellent coffee. I would have liked fresh orange juice and fried eggs, but otherwise everything was available and especially desserts were excellent. The swimming pool area was brand new and really clean, there were enough sun loungers and parasols. The hotel has a nice staff and friendly service, late check out was easy. I definitely recommend the hotel for travelers to Bologna, but the location is remote enough that it is worth renting a car for a visit to the Cathedral of San Luca, for example. It is also worth visiting the nearby hills to admire the sunset. To the delight of motorsport lovers, Modena, Maranello and Imola are also quite close...

08/10/2025: An old-fashioned place, but very well-maintained, with a lovely and relaxing outdoor area. The dishes are excellent, and much of the food is homemade. The prices are very fair, and the staff is kind and attentive. I'll definitely be back.

27/08/2025: A casual yet charming atmosphere with an outdoor terrace. It offers traditional Piacenza dishes, from starters to main courses, including lunch. Prices are reasonable and the quality is excellent! The portions are generous, too. The owner is friendly and helpful.

11/10/2025: Last night, pumpkin-themed dinner, delicious dishes...the pumpkin cappuccino with parmesan croissants was truly unique, followed by true delights, right up to dessert. Excellent service, the customer is given the utmost attention. Welcoming atmosphere, a real gem.

10/08/2025: A true gem for lovers of Emilian cuisine, with some intriguing nods to Venetian tradition. Each dish is a surprise, prepared with care and creativity, always special and authentic. Passion and attention to detail reign supreme here, from the first bite to the last. The wine is carefully selected: excellent, high-quality, and more than reasonably priced. A perfect balance. My favorite restaurant here.

02/10/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant, somewhat by chance. The food was good, the service excellent, and the father and son were very kind and friendly (Southern people, no offense to the others). Everything was great. Ample parking. Thank you.

17/09/2025: In reality, overall it was a good experience. I only took a few stars off because the dinner with friends, booked by the only absentee, was not compatible with the SPECIFIC evening, with live music... so it was practically impossible to talk calmly as required by the logic of the dinner's organization... but this should not be blamed on the venue, but on the wrong choice... so overall everything was good... just the service was a little slow, but friendly.

30/09/2025: Friendly and cosy place for dinner. Chef came out and explained the daily menu and he was super friendly. Food tasted great and was filling. It had a home made taste and feel (in a good way!). This restaurant really was amongst the better ones we ate at in comparison to other restaurants at the same price point.

01/09/2025: A beautiful location, tastefully decorated, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is truly delicious and ranges from local specialties like cured meats, torta fritta, and tortelli d'erbetta (stuffed greens tortelli) to more alternative options, all equally high quality. Prices are in keeping with the refined setting and service, but still very reasonable. Owners Sara and Mauro are incredibly friendly and approachable, and the staff is also polite and efficient. When our friend Michela Tedeschi sings, the fun is guaranteed. What can I say...highly recommended!
