06/08/2026: Stunning view, service and food! Does the view get better than this? As it cooled down they fully opened the windows for an open air setting. One of my fav meals, I had the Spaghetto alla “chiummenzana”. Simple, classic, the red sauce was so good. Look forward to going back on my next visit.

The atmosphere is welcoming, refined without being pretentious, with a warmth reminiscent of old-fashioned kitchens. The dishes truly taste like grandma's sauce: simple, authentic recipes, carefully prepared with a homey touch that's rare these days. The service is friendly and approachable, the timing is perfect, and the relaxed atmosphere allows you to enjoy your lunch without rushing. Excellent value, generous portions, and a menu that showcases Trieste's traditions with authenticity. An osteria that wins you over with its sincerity: no frills, just good food and a family atmosphere.

20/08/2026: A lovely discovery for us who stop by occasionally: excellent food, impeccable service, friendly service, and a great selection of music. Prices are average. We ordered: stuffed zucchini flowers and burrata, basmati rice with calamari, and potato waffles with caponata and mozzarella. The walnut and fig cream cake is an amazing finale 😱

22/08/2026: I called in the afternoon for a weekday evening in August and was lucky enough to get a table at 7:15 PM. The table I booked had no time restrictions; I'd found online that reservations from 7:15 PM for 8:45 PM had to be vacated. The restaurant is located on a side street off Cuneo's old town, so parking is in the Bishop's Palace area on the edge of town. The atmosphere is pleasant, with strong red accents on the walls and elegant furnishings from the early 1900s and 1930s. It has a beautiful room with a vaulted ceiling and exposed brick. The music is also predominantly from the 1920s and 1930s, both Italian and international. For my appetizer, I ordered an alpine Albanese. The meat was excellent, but the seasoning was too strong, both in quantity and intensity, and completely covered the flavor of the meat. Unfortunately, it wasn't to my liking. I had a Piedmontese picanha, cooked just rare, tasty and juicy, accompanied by vegetables. The bread wasn't bad, but the breadsticks weren't my cup of tea. All the meat dishes offered by the kitchen don't come with a side dish, even the smallest one, and must be added if necessary. Desserts are averagely priced, including the tiramisu. One particular thing I noticed was the cover charge, which is €2 for lunch and €3 in the evening, which I find high. The total cost of the dinner was a little above average; coffee was kindly offered, especially considering we're practically in the center of Cuneo. The staff was always present in the dining room and very discreet as well as very kind. The wine list is remarkably varied, offering both glass and bottle options, with some offerings not limited to the Langhe area, both red and white. A little touch, which is hard to find elsewhere, are the disposable cloth towels in the bathroom, a nice touch. It should be noted that there are still some very old wine lists on the Internet and two "sub-sites" that are not updated, cuneo.boves1929.it and alba.boves1929.it

05/08/2026: I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. I had an excellent tuna tartare and anchovies and beccafico. My friends also had first courses and they were equally satisfying. To finish, an excellent panna cotta with strawberry cream.

12/08/2026: We stopped this morning at this mountain hut, we ordered a typical platter and two beers, poor service because the waitress brought us the platter but without cutlery, napkins and plates with only two sandwiches, I kindly asked to bring everything as it should be and two more mini sandwiches like the ones received, later I noticed that the platter was really miserable with only one piece of cheese a few slices of speck and salami, the bread two were from today and two were stale, for a total of 25 euros I really do not recommend it and the friendliness is zero and even below zero

27/08/2026: Osteria? An understatement! The decor is refined... and the basement cellar is spectacular. The food lives up to the expectations set by the rest. The service is friendly and fast.

04/08/2026: We went for dinner and it was truly enjoyable. The restaurant is located in the city center. It was a very hot evening, and it was nice to know they had a large, air-conditioned room in the basement. All the dishes we ordered were truly delicious, carefully prepared, and flavorful. The bread basket, which contains three different types of bread, two of which are homemade, is worth a mention. Both the quality and the presentation show the care and desire to ensure the customer has a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. Congratulations!
