12/05/2025: Last night we went to the Osteria dell'Assonica and chose the vegetarian menu: a really nice surprise. Well thought out dishes, interesting and never banal combinations, with an attention to detail that is perceived without being forced. Professional service, present but discreet. Nice, sober and welcoming environment. A solid and well-constructed proposal, which is definitely worth the visit. Experience to be repeated. Thank you 🙏🏻

10/05/2025: I went there for lunch a few days ago with some friends. We had had very mixed reports about this restaurant. Of course the evaluation always depends on the expectations of those who enter. On our side the opinion is a narrow "good". Certainly overestimated by most. Unfavorable value for money despite the lunch offer, wine cellar with very high markups. We won't be back.

17/05/2025: Everything was simply perfect, from the atmosphere to the food. If you are passing through Ferrara and looking for a place where you can breathe the soul of this splendid city, then this is the right place. Delicious and well-prepared dishes, with an eye to tradition and various innovative combinations. The chef is an excellent host, very friendly but also professional! We will definitely be back!

24/04/2025: Good food, nice service, beautiful location. However, it was disturbing that they said they have no room on the telephone. Do we walked there got a table and the restaurant was only 3/4 fool. Not to nice.

21/05/2025: Intimate and welcoming place. Excellent service. Just the right amount of time between courses, but above all I recommend it for the quality and mastery with which the various fish courses are chosen.

13/05/2025: The cakes were delicious, but the service was bad, unfriendly. As if we had to feel bad for going there and buying their baked goods. There's no bathroom either. EDIT: Bathroom or not, the serving staff was still quite unfriendly unfortunately, did not feel welcome at all.

01/06/2025: This was one of the most elegant and delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. The octopus was incredibly tender and fresh, with a creamy cauliflower foam that was simply divine. The portion was generous and beautifully presented. I also had the Roman-style artichoke, so soft and flavorful, paired with a delicate sauce that brought everything together perfectly. The service was quick and gracious, and the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. I dined in their magical garden, surrounded by flowers, soft lighting, and the gentle scent of jasmine at the entrance. The atmosphere is the definition of refined relaxation. To top it all off, prices are more than fair for the quality. This place is a hidden gem.

22/05/2025: The place is elegant and minimalist, with very particular spacious tables, with an intermediate shelf to place devices and single-armed wooden chairs with space underneath the seat to store bags. The open kitchen lets you glimpse the team at work. I tried a menu with seasonal products with the chef's historic dishes such as caramelized onions with Grana Padano ice cream or sea bass with D'O caviar. Almost all the dishes were well balanced, with clear flavors and careful presentations. Paired with an excellent selection of wines. A couple of dishes were not impressive, simple with seasonal vegetables, but without a starred flavor. The service was attentive and professional, without being invasive. The place is very well-kept, truly intimate, excellent for a romantic dinner. A high-level gastronomic experience, which I recommend to those looking for creative cuisine but rooted in Italian tradition. 

17/05/2025: It's no longer the original D'o. I don't understand why he still says he does pop cuisine. In any case, it was a remarkable and satisfying experience. Two Michelin stars absolutely deserved. Fantastic tasting menu and fantastic wine pairing.

02/05/2025: Ristorante tranquillo in zona centrale Personale gentile, competente ed attento. Menù e carta dei vini non estesi,ma be bilanciati con possibili scelte per tutte le diete. Piatti ben pensati e realizzati con ottime materie prime.

01/05/2025: I made a reservation for dinner with my partner and although we arrived early they didn't give us any problems. The room and the atmosphere where we were was calm and very comfortable. The food was spectacular, the truth is that it surprised us a lot and the attention of the staff was 10. When we return to Rome we will repeat.

03/05/2025: Always a reference for Piedmontese cuisine starting from the excellent agnolotti del plin. Excellent and flexible tasting menu. I went there with my parents as a boy and it's nice to still find it today in the Slowfood guide. Very well-kept place, excellent service, ready to give advice without ever being intrusive.

17/05/2025: Noche especial con menú degustación y maridaje de vinos. Hemos estado en muchos restaurantes con estrellas Michelin de 1 a 3 estrellas. Algunos deliciosos y pretenciosos, otros increíbles tanto en inventiva como en amabilidad. Este restaurante merece todos los elogios por una maravillosa experiencia general. Un toque encantador fue pedir nuestras opiniones durante el servicio, por lo que ayudó a centrar suavemente nuestras catas y, además, parecía valorar nuestras aportaciones y opiniones. Dos destacados fueron nuestros Camarera/servidora - Domiziana y sumiller Leonardo. ¡Fueron increíbles! En general, recomiendo encarecidamente la experiencia general.

24/05/2025: Positive the mixed fried fish and the dessert. Negative the first course too salty and moreover you can't ask 22 euros for a plate of spaghetti with 4 clams. Rickety tables and paper placemat and 2.5 euros for cover charge per person. We tried but we won't be back.

From the homemade bread to the starters, main courses, and desserts, everything is top-notch. And to top it all off, you're served with such warmth that it makes the evening a truly memorable experience.
