16/10/2025: Such a nice authentic experience! Perfect service, kind people overall. Maurizio, the pizzaiolo, was very kind and even played the accordion for us! The food was great and the local wine was excellent. 100% recommend.

Had a lovely conversation over fantastic food and great wine and even got a private concerto on the accordion by Maurizio himself! Couldn’t recommend more! A must visit to anyone in Capistrello! Only got to take a photo of the antipasto because we devoured everything else right away!

21/11/2025: “Corso Stretto” was a truly pleasant discovery: a small but meticulously crafted restaurant with just a few tables, so reservations are recommended. The menu is refined, innovative without compromising on tradition, and the dishes are always beautifully presented. We tried: artisanal rigatoni with ricotta, sausage, and truffle: excellent. The gnocchi with pumpkin, porcini mushrooms, and stracciatella were also very good. The suckling pig with truffles and chicory was equally impressive. To finish, the gianduia fondant—original and delicious—and a lemon tartlet, beautiful to look at and delicious. The prices are fair, especially considering the central location.

22/02/2026: A very quaint place, prices a little above average in my opinion, but the food is good. Any advice? Skip everything and get the veal steak, €20 well spent. Add chicory and a bottle of water, some pizza bianca, and for €27 you've had an excellent, very tasty steak for lunch. The prices for the other items, in my humble opinion, are too high, especially since it's a Sunday, so they serve like a diner. Would I go back? The answer is yes, I would go back for the steak, which was divine. As for the rest, I don't know. Still, a very quaint place.

09/02/2026: I had lunch at the self-service restaurant. The pre-cooked polenta was nothing special, but the sautéed vegetables were excellent. The wait was very short, considering it was Friday. The price for a polenta was €15. Enough for one person.

Mixed and varied menu: - excellent first courses (arrabbiata, TOP scoglio) and a wide selection of fresh and dried pasta; - delicious second courses and side dishes. - fabulous and lactose-free desserts. The waiters are truly osteria-style; you'll feel at home in a truly family atmosphere. Highly recommended.

23/02/2026: A really cute place, quite close to the center. I found out about it through word of mouth, and was told I'd find the best arrosticini in L'Aquila here, along with lots of delicious bruschetta (including gluten-free ones)... and so it was! Friendly and attentive service; along with the standard cover charge, they also bring a small basket of salami, which was much appreciated. We then ordered some delicious bruschetta, arrosticini, and a portion of fries, all excellent! The location is also really interesting. We'll definitely be back.

01/02/2026: The staff were extremely friendly and the customer service was excellent. The idea of ​​the salami served with a small platter was a nice touch. Excellent pecorino cheese with jams, and the bruschetta and arrosticini were delicious. They also offered us a very strong aniseed liqueur at the end of the meal, the name of which I don't remember. I would gladly return to this restaurant, recommended by the B&B manager, who was also very kind, in a city that, unfortunately, I found full of very rude people outside of their own.

Excellent after a mountain outing, but also perfect for lunch or dinner. The appetizers are delicious; fried pecorino is my favorite. The first courses are exceptional: handmade ravioli, gnocchi, and pappardelle with ancient grains. The second courses are excellent, with excellent meats, especially the tender stew and the sliced ​​steak with porcini mushrooms and must. The wine selection is excellent. A place I always love to return to, feeling right at home, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

You can taste the typical local flavors and the genuineness of the ingredients. The problem is the location: the atmosphere is extremely chaotic and noisy. In short: Go here for good food (it's worth it), but be patient with the chaos.
