The best restaurant in Castel di Sangro and the surrounding area, hands down!

It was a wonderful surprise. This small, well-kept restaurant takes its name from its original location. It might not look like it from the outside, but it's tastefully furnished and well-lit with warm lighting. The atmosphere is further enhanced in the evening by the jazz background music, which pairs well with this contemporary take on an osteria. The staff is friendly and professional, although service is a bit slow. The menu is extensive and features traditional Abruzzo dishes reworked with a modern twist. The appetizers are excellent, from the classic platter to cheese and bread meatballs. For those who prefer traditional fare, I recommend the mutton arrosticini, cooked strictly over the coals using the traditional canaletta grill.

Fantastic osteria, beautifully decorated, very kind and knowledgeable staff, excellent food. The menu also offers some vegetarian options. Prices are average. I recommend it!
