07/05/2025: Veramente ottimo! La gentilezza della signorina che ci ha seguito, con consigli e spiegazioni, le zuppe favolose, le ottime porzioni e il prezzo veramente buono per quanto offerto ci hanno stregato! Grazie!

03/05/2025: Cucina semplice, sincera, senza fronzoli da ambiziosi gourmet, ad un prezzo giusto e con un servizio corretto e molto cortese. Evitate manciate di sale, grassi inutili, panne pasticciate per dare solo apparenza di sapore. Un agnello da 20 e lode per quanto mi riguarda (davvero gustoso e cotto a puntino). Chitarra al pomodoro, gnocchi a salsiccia e zafferano e fantastici agnolotti di ricotta al tartufo. Vino della casa senza alcuna offesa. Che dire? Grazie!!!

13/08/2025: You arrive and find yourself in this family-run refuge, served by a wonderful, kind, and extremely helpful lady at the counter. We've been here a week and had the best sandwich in all of Abruzzo: sausage, broccoli rabe, and provola. Exceptional desserts. Everything homemade and strictly fresh. Five stars superior!!!

11/08/2025: A lovely summer walk along the Roccaraso blue slope to reach the refuge. Sandwiches, first courses, or main courses with grilled meats. Tables under the trees. Friendly hosts. If you're a couch potato, you can take the chairlift. Prices are more than fair for a refuge.

31/03/2025: We went for lunch and had a great time. We asked for gnocchi (made in casserole, well done) and pappardelle with mushrooms. Both dishes were plentiful and very good. Fair price and served fairly quickly.

23/03/2025: Many people wonder why there are negative reviews. Well, I'm a person who adapts and isn't fussy at all... otherwise, I would have left as soon as I opened the door. I ordered the house appetizer, and they only brought me cold cuts (of questionable quality). Penna all'arrabbiata... to keep it simple, and I find myself with a dish with mushrooms in the sauce! I've never seen mushrooms in penne all'arrabbiata!! A truly unpleasant flavor, which I tried to correct by asking for Parmesan, but I was given truly horrible grated cheese... it tasted rancid... and you can imagine why! 2 portions of sausage (modest). I French fries filled with oil!! :) Finally, an Amarone grappa to try to take away the bad taste of the Parmesan! Total: 67 euros... One word: INDESCRIBLE!!!

20/07/2025: One of the worst experiences! Old hotel, room with cobwebs, lights out, dirty sink, and brown drops coming out as soon as I turned on the shower. Never again! On the plus side, the breakfast and clean sheets.

23/08/2025: We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance and were struck by the waitress's kindness. She consulted the kitchen and even managed to prepare pasta for our newborn without prior notice. Our dishes met our expectations, and we ate well, appreciating both the service and the ambiance. Looking at the reviews, one might suspect the service might cause some problems, but we can attest to the waitress's professionalism: the table next to us, after placing a very confusing order, sent back some dishes because some diners hadn't properly informed themselves about the ingredients. Despite the rudeness of the customers, the waitress maintained a professional and composed demeanor. Not everyone! We'll definitely be back!!! Regarding the rooms, I'm giving them 3 stars, in line with most of the reviews I've read, but I can't comment on that since we didn't stay at the hotel.

16/08/2025: We were the first to enter when service started around 8:00 pm. The owner welcomed us, we sat down, took our order, served us drinks... Then I saw her kneading and baking the pizza and there was the door at the table. Meanwhile, the place was half full. 100 out of 100 to the only person in the place. Too bad the pizza was awful, terrible dough. I know that they have a space in the fan village where they churn out lots of pizzas every day, but no one was in the main place. Alas, a bonus for the owner's patience, but a definite failing for whoever runs the entire business...

02/09/2025: Although the interior decor appears dated, the restaurant, the friendly and polite service, and the quality of the food are impeccable. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty, but only sweet. The entertainment staff is present, helpful, and professional!

30/07/2025: We found this hotel through word of mouth, and our stay did not disappoint. We spent four days at this hotel located in Rocca di Mezzo, Abruzzo. It's surrounded by greenery and perfectly organized to accommodate even large groups like ours (90 people). From our first contact with the manager, Nicola, we received a warm and professional welcome, despite the numerous unexpected issues that arose during the booking process, including confirmations and cancellations. Upon arriving at the hotel, we found the staff attentive, helpful, and always ready to meet our every need. The daily cleaning of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, a detail we greatly appreciated. The food was plentiful, varied, and of high quality, with dishes to suit everyone's tastes, adults and children alike. The quality-price ratio was also excellent, truly competitive for the services offered. A special mention goes to the patience and helpfulness of the staff, both administrative and operational: always present, kind, and ready to address any need with a smile. The hotel has provided comprehensive equipment and adequate spaces for shared activities, meetings, games, and relaxation. Special thanks to the children's entertainers—engaging, creative, and caring—who made the stay even more peaceful for parents, and to Alfred, an expert guide for walks in the beautiful woods surrounding the hotel; an added value that allowed us to discover the natural beauty of the area in complete relaxation. One aspect that needs improvement: increasing the number of disabled restrooms on the ground floor.

23/01/2025: Hamburger meat not good. Chickenburger made with fried cutlet from the worst discount store. Soggy and unsalted French fries. Totally failed. Good pizza and desserts.

20/08/2025: The manager refused the card payment because the amount was €5, which he deemed too low. The incident has already been reported to the competent authority.

03/08/2025: After waiting over an hour and a half for a table because the restaurant opens at """7:00 PM""" we waited 40 minutes for a waiter to come out from behind the counter. We took our orders from the app (absurd that there's no physical menu), which didn't even work on many cell phones, and we waited an interminable 2 hours to chat about our life stories. After this eternal wait, our dishes were brought to us, unaware that the first course was brought at 10:00 PM and the last at 10:35 PM. They were also disgusting: the appetizers were in paper boxes, the pizzas looked like cookies, and the sandwiches were inedible thanks to their special spicy sauce that tasted like syrup.

10/08/2025: Not a good experience, dated room, bathroom shutter cord detached from the wall, smell of smoke and food in the corridors, breakfast poor to say the least with a sign at the back low but clearly visible from the breakfast room with scurrilous statements to say the least in response to closing the door.....

14/07/2025: I don't know where to begin with how disgusting this place is. The restaurant is not clean; the tables are covered with plastic and a filthy tablecloth underneath, and then set the table with tablecloths with holes in them. The food is poor, and I think it's even spoiled. An unpleasant odor everywhere. The rooms aren't up to standard. The staff is dirty; one waiter even showed up wearing a filthy apron (and that's a compliment). This establishment should be inspected by the local health authority. The owner is always checking our noses, and he's always the one who gets annoyed if you pay by credit card. And last but not least, we weren't even registered.
