18/09/2025: A welcoming and well-maintained property, "Il Fortino" proved to be an excellent choice for a quiet and comfortable stay. Although it's located about 3 km from the historic center of Celano, its location is strategic for those wishing to explore the village and embark on excursions to discover the natural beauty of Abruzzo.
The family-run property immediately demonstrates the owner's genuine dedication to their guests: their kindness, helpfulness, and attention to detail make them feel right at home. The rooms are spotless, tidy, and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay.
Breakfast, simple but appropriate for a guesthouse, is a pleasant start to the day. The internal parking in the garden is also very convenient, providing added security for those traveling by car.
There is no on-site restaurant.
A recommended option for both short stays and as a base for exploring the Sirente-Velino Park and the wonders of the Abruzzo Apennines. A true haven of genuine hospitality.
14/09/2025: Beautiful property just 3 minutes from the center of Celano. We've used it several times as a starting point for treks. Private indoor parking. Spacious, clean rooms with air conditioning and refrigerator. Breakfast starts at 8:00, but for those like us with different needs, you can make your own earlier with products (jams, Nutella, yogurt, milk, tea, coffee maker, and tart) left available. The owner is very kind and also gave us suggestions for restaurants and treks.

27/08/2025: I didn't have the pleasure of enjoying the food due to the owner's total inability to handle the unexpected event of an impromptu demonstration by ultra-citizen fans who sat on the laps of the unfortunate customers outside and who had to flee, paying for the inconvenience suffered.
21/08/2025: Excellent vegetarian pinsa: very light pasta and perfect sauce. Excellent service and friendly staff.

29/10/2025: Unfortunately, the restaurant seems a little dated, and the pizza is toasty. The ingredients are either low-quality or old. I won't be going there again.

Of course, I don't judge anyone's choices; they must have their reasons.
So my vote isn't for their food, service, or location... but simply because I couldn't see or hear anything.

The bean soup was truly superb, though it's a shame about the quantity... I also found the lamb to be good and well-cooked.
Fair price.

30/08/2025: From the 80s to 2000 it was my restaurant in Roccaraso, I sold my house and returned after many years, a unique disappointment, no appetizer counter at the buffet but above all low quality meat, now only the memory remains
22/08/2025: I visited this place years ago and was impressed. As the restaurant's name suggests, there were many delicious items, and the place was surrounded by greenery and well-kept. I returned today and I must say that I found everything changed and worsened, neglected, with little or no food to offer, and the prices were steep. I won't be returning.

05/07/2025: I have been going there for decades, everything is perfect, with a small flaw in some waiters. It is located in the splendid Piazza Torlonia, surrounded by greenery. Improved over time!!!!

10/07/2025: I've known her for years, and I usually reserve trays there for special occasions, like birthdays, etc.
The lady is incredibly kind! I'd go back a thousand times just for the service, and the pizzas are always beautiful and delicious!
If you're craving a quick pizza, it's the best in L'Aquila! 🏰

27/06/2025: What a cold, huge, dispersive place. Midweek in a place like this, to cut your wrists.
The waiting staff then, a bit snotty and annoyed, if you don't want to serve tables for two, don't hire them, only accept large tables, it's your choice, not the fault of those who come.
The waitress especially with a scowl all the time, do you have to pay extra for a smile?

It was a Friday night, a table over in about ten maybe 15 people were celebrating a birthday, the review is not invented, nor the blond waitress's scowl, the evening no, it doesn't vent in the dining room.
We didn't cut our wrists, rather we crossed this place off from those to stop at.
