The inside is nice, although the space is limited, but I preferred to sit outside. When ordering, I was told that pizzas weren't available that day, and they recommended the off-menu lasagna instead. It was a real shame, but I went ahead and ordered chitarrine with ragù. The sauce was plentiful, but mediocre, and the chitarrine didn't seem homemade. The staff didn't speak Italian, but they didn't make any mistakes. Prices were above average.

A small, rustic, but welcoming place. The food is excellent. I recommend the homemade gnocchi, which are incredibly soft and fluffy. They're quick and the prices are great, especially considering the delicious food. The place is located in the center of Castel di Sangro, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

A lovely little mountain restaurant, in an excellent location, just steps from the town center. The owner is incredibly friendly and offers a wide selection of local cured meats, cheeses, and various meats, including arrosticini and well-cooked, spiced lamb. They also make excellent pizza. Highly recommended!

We arrived in Castel di Sangro on a train ride through the parks around 1:00 PM, and while heading downtown, needing something to eat, we stumbled upon the restaurant and pizzeria "La Taverna." The owner, who welcomed us, was very kind. We were two couples, and we ate a first and second course for €90. The food was excellent; the egg pasta was truly handmade, just like it used to be. A great experience that we'll definitely repeat; I highly recommend it.

06/04/2026: The first course was exceptional, with white ragù and artichokes—truly something special. The grill was incredible, the meat was cooked to perfection and of the highest quality. The wine paired excellently, and the price was absolutely right for what it offered. The meal ended with a delicious tiramisu. A truly positive experience, highly recommended!
