The head waiter (and the only waiter) brought us a couple of dark olives, a few slices of ham, and two (two!) slices of cheese for four people. 08/08/2025: Locale consigliatissimo, ottimi piatti e ottimo servizio. Abbiamo cenato in 3 senza prenotazione, il loro primo pensiero è stato il cibo per la bambina (cosa non comune visto che in molte occasioni le attese sono molto prolungate). Antipasto abbondante e di qualità con salumi buonissimi, così come i primi piatti con delle paste buonissime. Le 10-15 euro in più pagate sul conto rispetto ad altri locali che offrono portate simili vengono ripagate pienamente dalla qualità e dalla cortesia.

31/07/2025: Bel locale ad inizio paese, curato e accogliente. Cibo di qualità e servizio abbastanza cortese. Ricco antipasto Plistia (straordinari i salumi, buoni i formaggi, da migliorare i fritti, a nostro parere). Poi interessanti codetti al Montepulciano con salsiccia, patate e scamorza e una razione davvero generosa di pecorino alla piastra. Prezzo corretto.

21/02/2026: We called to reserve a table, but as soon as we learned we had a very annoyed little dog, he told us to leave it in the car. Never tried it, and never will.

19/10/2025: We discovered La Foce during a stroll through the heart of Scanno, and immediately felt at home. We tried the cazzellitti con le fuoja (a type of pasta) and the sagnette con i fagioli (a type of pasta with beans): extraordinary dishes, prepared with such care and love that you can taste in every bite. Everything is homemade and cooked to order, a true culinary experience! The atmosphere is warm and familiar, the owners were extremely kind and welcomed us with great warmth. It's clear that a tradition is being carried on here with passion and dedication. We were delighted and can't wait to return. A must-see for anyone visiting Scanno who wants to enjoy authentic local cuisine.

22/02/2026: Traditional cuisine enhanced by the diners' attention to contemporary tastes. An excellent wine cellar that honors the local area. Fine meats and attention to every stage of the dish's preparation make this a must-visit in Sulmona.

15/02/2026: We were hesitant to go given the mixed reviews... in the end, we gave it a chance, especially because it's on Sulmona's main street, but I wouldn't go back. The atmosphere was very fake, there was very little medieval about it, a lot of Chinese, and, above all, it was poorly maintained. The food was poor... I'm sorry!

A refined and constantly evolving wine list. Impeccable hospitality in the dining room, an enchanting setting, both in the garden and inside, especially next to the wonderful fireplace.

24/09/2025: My wife and I, passing through the area, discovered the restaurant... not to be missed, more than excellent in every sense, we also stayed overnight and had breakfast in their simple, quiet and clean hotel. TOP

24/02/2026: A simple, no-frills restaurant, perfect for lunch after a hike or if you're just passing through. The typical local cuisine is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The gentleman who served us was very friendly, and we really enjoyed the view of the mountains beyond. I highly recommend it.

20/08/2025: A pleasant discovery. We stopped by chance one evening and returned two days later with friends. The owner is kind, professional, and friendly, and the menu is delicious. It's also suitable for families, as they have high chairs and dishes suitable for little ones.
