14/10/2025: Delicious pizza and food, very friendly service.

02/10/2025: On the outside wall, a plaque identifies the current restaurant as the birthplace of Antonio Ascari, an Alfa Romeo driver from the 1920s and father of the more famous Alberto Ascari, a Ferrari driver and world champion from the 1950s. It should be a typical restaurant, but in reality, except for a few dishes, it offers a rather banal menu. The tagliatelle with duck ragù is good, but the bigoli with sardines is less so. The fried "pessin e saltai" (fish and chips) is awful; the pizza is adequate. Prices are reasonable. On average, it would be two and a half stars... I was being generous.

14/10/2025: I sincerely thank the employee Alessandro for his kindness. He really won me over at this shop. If I ever want to return, I'll come with the wonderful sales assistant who prepares the gelato with love and care. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

01/10/2025: We were on vacation in Malcesine at the end of September 2025, but not at this hotel. We lost our bag containing our debit card and cell phone near the hotel. Hotel guests left it at the reception. Guests and the hotel reception staff initially tried to contact us by phone and email. This allowed us to quickly and easily retrieve our valuables. Thank you very much 😀

11/11/2025: A very casual trattoria, perhaps a little noisy, but the food is excellent, as is the service. I recommend it for an evening with friends.

22/09/2025: Extremely slow service, more than 45 minutes for a stew. The staff was quite friendly. The bathrooms were disgusting and extremely dirty! The room was extremely noisy with background music that only increased the din. I don't understand why it's called a refuge when the rooms for travellers are occupied by the staff... I don't know... I had lunch on Sunday 21/09/25.

04/11/2025: Passing by chance in our vintage cars, tempted by this small village, we entered the street and found the "old" and classic village shop: a delight, sandwiches that take you back to childhood, a genuine atmosphere but above all high-quality raw materials.

17/08/2025: A true old-fashioned shop. You can find everything there, even the most unexpected things. As for the food, everything is excellent, and you can even eat some dishes on site. A must-try!

15/12/2025: After unfortunately not finding a table the first night because they don't make reservations, we tried again the next day for lunch and weren't disappointed. Excellent platters. Various cured meats and cheeses. The place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly.

I came with my mother: she had a traditional spritz and loved it, while I ordered freshly squeezed orange juice, which was really good and not watered down like many other places. We shared meatballs/appetizers and a pizza: everything was delicious. The place is very cute, well-decorated inside, and also has seating in the outdoor courtyard. I was with my newborn and needed to change him: they set up a place for me in the disabled bathroom. They were really kind. I would definitely go back!

It's a regular stop for us. The food is simply refined, and the ingredients are carefully selected. The wine list is also varied and extensive. Recommended!

16/10/2025: The atmosphere is classic for a takeout pizzeria. However, the quality of the pizza is very good. The dough is well-leavened, and they certainly pay close attention to the rising times, as it's very digestible without any problems overnight. The pizza selection and the ingredients are good. The cooking is exceptional; I've long been a proponent of wood-fired ovens being banned. Electric ovens cook better and don't burn the product. The staff is always nice, smiling, and friendly. Try it!

25/11/2025: Borgo Antico, the restaurant at the Villa Quaranta hotel, was the icing on the cake of our stay in Verona. We dined there and... what can I say? We truly felt at home, pampered by a warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with irresistible aromas. The Amarone risotto was simply a masterpiece: creamy, enveloping, the kind that makes you smile immediately when you taste it because you know you're tasting something special. The Chateaubriand, then... oh my! Tender, flavorful, cooked to perfection. It's truly difficult to describe how delicious those dishes were: mouth-watering, and so was the plate, without shame. Of course, it was all accompanied by an excellent Tommasi wine, the perfect way to end our stay at the villa. A toast that exuded quality, care, and tradition. In short: a top-notch dinner, incredible dishes, and an atmosphere that makes you feel good from start to finish. Highly recommended!

24/07/2025: Ambiente suggestivo, coniuga tradizione e lusso, unica pecca a mio avviso la troppa vicinanza tra i tavoli. Servizio di sala eccellente. Cibo di altissima qualità, veramente ottimo, bagnato da un vino del territorio favoloso, scelto non dalla "carta" dei vini ma dall'enciclopedia dei vini!!! Mai visto un documento tanto fornito. Un plauso all'amore e alla dedizione per il prodotto!

04/12/2025: There were four of us. We ordered two first courses and two pizzas, and the pizzas arrived when the first courses were already finished. The "blonde" lady at the cash register forced us to pay one bill. She couldn't make separate bills or multiple transactions, and she expressed it in a very, very rude manner. The brunette waitress, on the other hand, was super nice and kind.
