Bar Caffè Borgaccio In Poggibonsi

We're riding our Vespa to Rome and stopped overnight in Poggibonsi. They recommended eating here. The charcuterie board was very good, including the pecorino with honey. The salads were plentiful, and the pizzas were adequate but well-seasoned. The place is simple, but the prices are reasonable.

I had lunch at this bar-trattoria and tried the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù: truly delicious. The portion was generous, the pasta excellent, and the ragù rich in flavor, well-prepared, and very tasty. The place was also clean and well-kept, and the service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff. A very positive experience.

The reviews made us come here and wow were they right. The plates are big but very flavourful. The prizes are low, specially for the house wine. We had a house red and it was so lovely. We were 4 and ordered 2 pastas and 1 calzone, we were very full by the end of the meal. Quite happy too. Give the papardelle with boar a try. You won't regret it. I'm in love with caccio e peppe so we had to have some, didn't disappoint. The service is lovely but the food coming out won't be fast. So take your time and enjoy the wine. It's worth it.

Excellent restaurant, recommended by the nearby hotel where we were staying. We truly enjoyed it. Good selection of seafood and meat dishes, quality ingredients expertly prepared. Friendly service, lovely atmosphere. Fried fish, Livorno-style cod, baby octopus crostini, grilled prawns, squid ink tagliolini with seafood ragù, focaccia—all delicious.
