19/06/2025: I have never forgotten the excellent chocolate bomboloni that I stopped to eat before arriving at work about fifteen years ago, I have never eaten anywhere so good and so stuffed. Now I live far away but it is a beautiful memory

21/05/2025: I had a really good and tasty pizza, but the menu is varied, it also includes appetizers, first courses and desserts. The waitress was really kind and helpful. I recommend it!

17/05/2025: Nice surprise discovered on the fork. Very kind and smiling staff, who can advise on the dishes of the day without being at all invasive. Nice place, even the outside area and excellent pizza. We will return to try the appetizer for two which must be exceptional. Craft beers and a wide selection of wines from all regions. Well-selected desserts and affordable prices.

09/08/2025: An average trattoria in a place that was the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli, and therefore supposedly has a strong sense of Italian heritage, or at least claims to have one. The dishes aren't numerous, some absolutely local or Tuscan. Nothing special, starting with the appetizer, I recommend the mixed cured meats, which are quite generous with local produce and are pleasant to the taste. The same cannot be said for the prosciutto and melon, which is served with a hand-cut prosciutto that is tasteless, rubbery, and presumably old. The fried rabbit is almost entirely boneless, and the "peposo," a meat stew in a pepper and wine sauce, was drowned in vinegar, making it almost inedible. The house red wine is cold and undrinkable, and the white is barely acceptable when drunk chilled. On the plus side, however, they have a fairly extensive wine list, and you won't have a hard time finding something more than decent. Overall, you'll definitely find better in the area.

09/08/2025: I'm disappointed. The restaurant is getting praise everywhere. It seems the staff has gotten used to it. Poor, slow service. Menus seem to be in short supply. Because they were out of fresh tomatoes, the dishes were simply served with tomato sauce. Surely you can discuss this with your guests beforehand. The food is good, but not outstanding—as it's portrayed in the press.

Their strong point is undoubtedly the dough, which is matured for 3-4 days, and is not only delicious but also incredibly light and digestible—a true rarity. The selection of ingredients is of the highest quality; you can taste the freshness in every bite. One aspect I really appreciate is their attention to different dietary needs. The menu also offers gluten-free pizzas, ensuring everyone can enjoy a pleasant evening without worries. But this place isn't just a pizzeria. The rest of the menu is equally excellent. I had the opportunity to try both fish and meat dishes and was amazed by their impeccable preparation. Each dish is cooked to perfection, and the freshest ingredients are the real stars. It's important to highlight Monica's desserts, which showcase the love and care she puts into selecting ingredients, creating combinations that surprise and satisfy the palate with a perfect balance of sweetness, acidity, and texture.

26/07/2025: We had only positive experiences with the restaurants we chose at Celiac Paradise Italy. But at the end of our time in Pisa, our visit to l'Arciere was the crowning glory in every sense of the word! We had two starters, four main courses, three desserts, as well as wine and soft drinks for four people, and the price stayed under €100! It was also the best pizza in Italy this year, and the gluten-free pizza was also excellent. This restaurant is a must-visit if you're in Pisa and love pizza!!! Thank you for this wonderful evening

We had a truly delicious meal and excellent service! The host, Christian, was incredibly friendly and a true highlight of the tavern, besides the food itself.

Nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse en soirée qqn qui chantait au coin de la rue. Nous en garderons un magnifique souvenir.

18/07/2025: A lovely restaurant in the center of San Miniato. We ate very well. The portions are generous (the tartare appetizer is almost the size of a main course) and well-prepared. The waitress who served us was very professional and lively (and spoke excellent English, by the way). We'll definitely be back.

30/07/2025: I waited a good two years to write this review, hoping to get over my disappointment, but I can't... I'm shocked to see 5-star ratings. However, I believe that at Conventino they capitalize on the town's loyal customers and on "very" foreign tourists infatuated with Tuscany, for whom mediocre cuisine can seem like "good Tuscan cuisine"... Two years ago, I had a foreign guest, and I hoped I'd land on my feet, as they say, by taking him to a well-established restaurant in the area. He, I repeat, a foreigner, from the Nordic lands, enjoyed the dinner. I, a Tuscan, a native, someone who knows how to cook and has traveled the country, the country, and even the world enough to recognize poor quality food and service, instead found: • ravioli that looked like packaged ones (and maybe they were: the kind you get at A Zona Market, for catering, but bought ready-made, not made by them!) • mixed platter with ham sliced a little too long ago • pappa al pomodoro, for two, on a small pebble the size of a spoon but which managed to be half hot and half ice cold. • ice bartalucci. • the best now: beautiful wide-rimmed plates, on which, however, the reflection of the light clearly showed so many paw prints; "finger" prints (not finger prints...) that simply gave off a very dirty impression. I HOPE my guest had a different perspective on things, that it saved him from that sight. Either that, or he was gentlemanly enough not to point out the evidence of poor hygiene. Well...what can I say? I strongly suspect that the restaurant is still riding the wave of past and lost glory. Every time I pass by or hear about it, I tell myself that the locals must really love the managers/owners (I don't know what they are) to continue promoting this place and even frequent it. The long faces of the staff are also uninviting: three people who seemed like family. They treat people as if they were annoyed by the people who earn their living... But there's no danger, because I'll only return to that place if it changes management, since, if improved, the atmosphere would be beautiful.

08/07/2025: Secluded, quiet location on a hill overlooking the valley. There's also an outdoor veranda. Excellent Tuscan cuisine.
