22/09/2025: We had a great time at this roadside restaurant, which doesn't look like much at first glance. We were the only women there, along with the waitress (adorable and very helpful, who bent over backwards to find a dish that suited my intolerances), and we could tell the men there were amused to see us, tourists, a little "lost" in this small restaurant full of regulars. The food was delicious, plentiful, and fresh, the atmosphere very rustic and authentic, and the bill surprised us: €21 for two dishes, a huge mixed salad for two people, a beer, a bottle of water, and cutlery. I highly recommend it 🙌🏻

20/09/2025: Historic trattoria in Gello. Excellent for a quick business lunch. Good food, fast service, extensive menu on the legendary blackboard, fair prices, and... What can I say? A classic if you're in the area. A true trattoria. You can tell by the people who have been coming here forever. I've stopped there often over the years. They're always good.

25/08/2025: The food was very good, the atmosphere a bit chaotic, but the service was professional. The fried appetizer deserves a special mention.

23/08/2025: Unreliable Pizzeria After a 30-minute wait, they told us they hadn't taken our order. They later told us they'd run out of dough. Unreliable and disgusting pizzeria.

12/10/2025: Excellent food and friendly staff. The crepes are truly delicious.

28/09/2025: We paid 40 Euros for two really small portions of the worst lasagna I’ve ever eaten (probably a frozen one?), one small beer and one Aperol Spritz. We stopped here because it was one of the only open places and we were really hungry after a long hike, we didn’t expect anything fancy at all, just good local cuisine, but it really wasn’t worth it at all.

05/10/2025: I can’t express how amazing this restaurant was for us. We stayed in the Karma hotel for a week and spent 3-4 nights at this restaurant. The food was amazing especially the lasagne, mascarpone pizza and berry cheesecake! It was so reasonably priced and the staff was amazing. Our favourite waiter who gave the most unbelievable service would be Georgio. We hope to come back again! 🫶🏼

12/10/2025: The pizza and meat were delicious, the only shame was that we got really stinky because all the smoke was rising from the kitchen.

28/09/2025: I called to order two speck and mascarpone pizzas. Nothing to complain about, the pizza was good and well-made. The two stars are for the price, which is ridiculously high at €10 per pizza—and I repeat, for a simple speck and mascarpone.

11/10/2025: Good ice cream but unfortunately the staff is unwelcoming and always different.

04/10/2025: The ice cream is incredibly delicious! The service was very attentive and friendly! There's a small park where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream!

25/07/2025: While looking for an early lunch, we were convinced by the well-stocked display of various delicacies. After a quick check of what was going on in the kitchen (clean kitchen, pleasant home cook), we decided to enter. We ate soup, lasagna and fish with roasted vegetables. We were impressed by the flavors and service! They were constantly bringing new dishes to the display... We decided to take the seafood risotto to go, since we had a long way home. 🙂 Several locals took their food to go. The food is nicely and airtightly packaged. The price was not excessive considering the quality. I definitely recommend a visit!

12/10/2025: The only problem is that if you're driving from outside Pisa, you have to walk a bit too far to get to the restaurant, which is in a limited traffic zone. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.

07/09/2025: The photos speak for themselves. There's no need to say much. We had two pizzas • Regina, with prosciutto, cherry tomatoes, arugula, and parmesan • Positano: half a calzone with cooked ham and mozzarella and half arugula and parmesan. So delicious! We also tried the cheesecake! What can I say? We devoured it in one bite. If you want quality and a good price, you're in the right place. You can feel the pizza chef's love and passion through his pizzas. The entire staff is incredibly kind and friendly, very helpful with customers. Congratulations! We'll definitely be back.

15/09/2025: The best sandwich with finocchiona, pesto, and cherry tomatoes for lunch between classes. It's super cheap and affordable for out-of-towners. The tart is also great.

05/08/2025: Best value for money in Pisa! Delicious homemade food, very friendly staff in a calm location. Full meal costs around 10€. If you’re looking for a budget friendly, non touristy and healthy food spot in Pisa, this is it!

04/07/2025: Small restaurant mainly seafood, beautiful rooms, kind and prepared service, truly excellent food and prices in line with the quality (very good) of the dishes. For 2 of us we ate (all seafood) 2 appetizers, 2 main courses, 2 desserts, 2 moscatos, 2 coffees for a cost of €130, discounted to €115. Highly recommended.

28/09/2025: The place is truly excellent, clean and with top-notch service. Lots of choice, including vegetarian and vegan options, which isn't a given. I go there often, and I highly recommend it. The vegan piadina has the full flavor of meat, and it's really good.

15/09/2025: We were there last night with 8 people. The pizza was very good, and the young waiters were very kind and fast... I've been there several times already!! I was a little disappointed with the bill, though. They charged me two extra appetizer platters, so I paid for four instead of two. I only noticed this when I got home! So I'll have to be more careful next time!

09/09/2025: We visited twice on our holiday because we enjoyed the food so much! It’s delicious, generous portions and excellent value. We had the Tuscan anti pasti, pizza and panna cotta with pistachio cream - the second time we went, we shared two pizzas between four people because the anti pasti is so big! Definitely recommend.

21/09/2025: a great authentic spot in the center of pisa, the place itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. there were several tables outside and everyone was enjoying their food and company. the food itself was amazing, we got the buffalo ravioli, tuscan style steak, pork chops, and clam pesto pasta. everything tasted fresh and delicious. the staff were very helpful and accommodating even though we weren’t locals :)

19/08/2025: We found this restaurant-pizzeria by searching online for an online reservation for nine people; we loved the place. The ambient lighting is soft and intimate, perfect for a tête-à-tête dinner. "La Clessidra" has been featured in the Michelin Guide numerous times, and it's a shame we booked just to have pizza. Regardless, they were delicious, with such a light dough that I could easily order a second one and finish it off. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful; the service was impeccable, with all the different pizzas we ordered arriving simultaneously. The welcome with a glass of prosecco and "cantuccini pugliesi" (Puglia biscuits) was a welcome treat. I usually order a beer with pizza, and "La mì Pisa" (a craft beer I already knew) was an excellent match; despite its higher alcohol content, "amber Belgian Ale-style, raw, unfiltered," it proved unexpectedly light (very) and digestible. The total cost for nine people was a surprise, averaging just over €20.00 per person. Even considering the single appetizer one of our guests ordered, preferring it to the pizza, it was greatly appreciated for the distinctive flavor of the "cabbage and cod roll with chickpeas and leek cream," which certainly convinced us to return to try the other dishes on the menu. This pizzeria-restaurant is definitely recommended! (Note: the "Torta cò i bischeri" is delicious and not as dry as similar products we've tasted over the years at various restaurants.)

19/09/2025: We've been guests at this restaurant for several years. The food is always very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is well-maintained and clean. The view—especially at sunset—is indescribable. But the service has deteriorated—worth at most one star. While friendly, a server occasionally comes to the table to take our order. Unfortunately, that's very, very rare these days. The last time (September 19, 2025), no one came by for more than an hour and a half after the main course was served, to order drinks or desserts, or even to clear the table. We just paid and left.
