25/04/2026: Dinner with friends... There were eight of us, but since it was a Monday night, I wasn't expecting it to be full! However, the service and wait times were impeccable!!! The appetizers were good and plentiful, then we opted for two 2kg steaks, two different types of fish, but both sublime! The wine was served in the house "Fiaschetto" (flask), but it was truly excellent!!! The girl from Verona who served us was truly friendly and nice. A fair price, in my opinion, and more. Would I go back? Definitely YES!

16/10/2025: Kindness and courtesy above all. A glass of prosecco, crostini with tomato, and schiacciatina baked in a wood-fired oven with a square of cecina...all this is welcome. The arugula and parmesan tagliatelle, asking for it to be cooked because I don't like raw meat, was delicious. The venison tagliatelle were delicious. The portions are generous, and so was the pasta sauce. I finished with tiramisu...yum, yum, really. Limoncello is offered. I highly recommend it, and I recommend booking.

I wanted to replace the potatoes with mashed potatoes, but the girl who took the menus walked away without listening to my request. Leave this restaurant to Borghese. It was the only one with a table on Easter Monday. Does that mean anything? It's not worth the expense.

Located in a quiet area, away from the tourist hustle and bustle, just steps from the Lungarno and Corso Italia, it offers a welcoming atmosphere and excellent food. The cuisine is delicious, featuring traditional Italian dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. The decor is elegant and distinctive, with a touch of old-world charm that creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The wine list is excellent, with an interesting selection of local wines. The true heart of the restaurant is Mr. Carlo, a unique presence at San Paolo. A great chatterbox, he's always ready to share his incredible story, which saw him transition from pastry making to cooking, creating a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. His warm welcome and attention to detail make him a true ambassador for the restaurant. With great charm and passion, he manages to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making every customer feel at home, recommending the daily specials and selecting the finest wines. His energy and zest for life are contagious, and made our dinner at San Paolo an unforgettable experience. We ordered: Pappardelle with duck ragù; Paccheri with scorpionfish ragù; Sea bass and red mullet millefeuille; Fresh tuna steak with rosemary on sweet and sour onions; Cheesecake; Apple charlotte, wine, and coffee. We spent €96, which was definitely worth it for the quality of the food and service. We will definitely be back.

01/07/2026: Truly a fantastic experience at Ci Ritorno! Everything was excellent: from the food to the service, to the atmosphere. The place is so beautiful and meticulously maintained that you can't stop looking around and admiring it. You immediately sense a welcoming and special atmosphere. I 100% recommend this pizzeria to anyone who wants to eat well and have a pleasant evening. I'll definitely be back!

18/07/2026: An upscale restaurant located a short distance from Pisa’s bustling tourist area. Great atmosphere, phenomenal cuisine, and excellent wines. We recommend letting the staff suggest a wine to pair with your meal. Very friendly service. Very reasonable prices. A restaurant we highly recommend for a wonderful evening.

18/07/2026: We had a reservation, but still waited 10 minutes before a waiter even noticed us. (We were standing right by the entrance, and they walked past us several times.) The view is fantastic—and probably the reason the pizzeria is still in business. Unfortunately, the service was poor. It took 40 minutes just to take our order (including drinks). The order itself arrived relatively quickly. However, we weren't even asked if we liked the food or if we needed anything else. Then it took another 35 minutes for the waiter to come to our table to tell us we had to pay inside. Another 15 minutes later, that finally happened. Apparently, only one person is allowed to handle the payment. What a shame! The waiters seemed stressed and overwhelmed, didn't pay attention to the guests, and didn't notice any signs or empty plates (even though they were sometimes at the next table). Despite the great view and the delicious pizza, I wouldn't come back and wouldn't recommend the restaurant. What a pity!

28/06/2026: A delightfully discovered excellent pastry shop recommended by friends for their vegan options. I ordered a fruit tart over the phone for my birthday: We received a cake with a beautiful presentation, but also exceptionally delicious, both from the shortcrust pastry (crumbly and flavorful, not "heavy"), the vegan Chantilly cream, and the quality of the fresh fruit. I'll try the rest of their vegan options too! Kindness, helpfulness, and expertise complete the picture of their sweet treats. Recommended.

27/06/2026: Exceptional! Tried several pastries for breakfast: plain croissant, croissant with jam, sfoglia mela, sfoglia riso, croissant chocolate. Favourite by far sfoglia riso e sfoglia mela, followed by jam croissant. Also tried there special mango inspired fruit like dessert. Very tasty but recommend for a fancy after lunch (not for breakfast). Easy to park, fast service. Takes credit cards. Very reasonable price for exceptional quality.

Perfect for those short on time but still want to eat well. Pasta, salads, rotisserie, and simple yet truly flavorful dishes, prepared with that authentic atmosphere that's becoming rarer these days. The owners are fantastic, friendly, and always available, so much so that it almost feels like eating at home. The restaurant is also beautiful, very characteristic, with references to old Tuscan flavors that add even more warmth to the atmosphere. If you're in Pisa and in a hurry, but still want quality, courtesy, and a fair price, this place is truly a guarantee.
