A beautiful rustic setting with frescoed ceilings in the heart of Pisa! I recommend the cheek on a bed of puree and the wild boar on polenta!! The gnocchi then taleggio, leeks and hazelnuts were fantastic! I will go back for the meat I saw they have a nice fridge! ;)

we had dinner last night for dinner we had pici with cinta senese ragù sirloin with lard and sausages with a side dish of turnip greens all really excellent a place to definitely return

This is a great little spot on a square, a bit off the beaten track for tourists where there are more locals than tourists. We started with a mix of appetizers of fried polenta, onion marmalade, cheese and I'm not sure what else, but it was a delightful experience for the palate. This food is why you come to Italy. I had the Tagliata di Cinta Senese (fried pork) and it was exceptional. If this was what I could get in Italian restaurants in the States, I would order more than just pizza. Alas, you have to spring for a trip to Italy to expand your horizons in Italian cuisine.

20/03/2024: A show. The owner ironically welcomes you to his small, slightly retro restaurant. Typical Tuscan cuisine that makes the choice difficult. All delicious and tasty, served with skill and always with lots of laughter. You are immediately welcomed like family, it's a shame to have to leave at the end of the meal and after meeting the legendary cook. Congratulations to the pasta and beans, never tasted so good.
21/02/2024: Homemade, family-run environment... I ate cannelloni with ricotta and spinach and roasted rabbit with potatoes... Excellent quality and good portions. The flavors of when grandmother cooked.
