31/03/2025: We stayed at Ubaldo and had a great time. Very particular environment. Francesco and Ines are two fantastic guys and Ubaldo, despite having a lot to do, manages to find time to have a word with everyone. Very nice!!!! The food was excellent and the quality-price ratio was also excellent. Typical dishes from Lucca, good wine, excellently cooked meat, equally good desserts and bitter liquorice and chilli pepper, a real surprise.

14/04/2025: We were happy, good dishes, even original, well prepared, with fresh ingredients. The mixed seafood starters are very tasty, the cod is also excellent in presentation, the octopus is excellent... The desserts are also good. Kindness and tranquility from the staff. We gladly recommend it!

31/03/2025: The products are very good, the cafeteria is also excellent. Choice for celiacs, lactose intolerants and vegans. The only flaw is the lack of space. A breakfast, a quick lunch or a snack so good, and with costs correctly adjusted upwards, and almost not being able to lean anywhere. Knowing this, however, it should always be tried and it is worth going back!

23/03/2025: A pastry shop like many others. Small place with a sweet and savory counter serving as an island in the center of the room. You basically eat breakfast while queuing.

26/02/2025: Transition to July 2024. Excellent food, excellent wine, interesting ambiance and decor. Several rooms, the service was not very present in the one where we were. This remains a good address.

23/02/2025: One of the best restaurant we’ve tried when in Italy. The owner very kindly explained the menu and made recommendations. We had the tagliata and ossobuco and it did not disappoint. We would definitely try again when in Lucca. But as the restaurant is popular, we should not forget to book upfront.

20/03/2025: Excellent shop with kitchen. Every time I pass by I can't help but stop for lunch. The panigacci, offered with different toppings in a tricolor version, are delicious.

25/03/2025: The atmosphere would be nice inside but you always end up in the plasticized veranda outside, which frankly is a bit sad. The food was good, even if in Lucca there is certainly better, but the real problem was the exhausting slowness of the service. It took us an hour and 40 for a cold appetizer and a first course, incredible!

12/04/2025: I had dinner at this place last night with my husband. The first thing I would like to write is compliments to all the staff who have been able to convey passion for their work together with attention to the customer, a quality that is now increasingly rare and precious among activities that involve a relationship with the public. The dishes are excellent, detailed and cared for, the bulk wine is very good, a detail on which I personally always focus, as it tells a lot about the soul of a place and the direction it wants to take. The dessert was also very good. Service, what can I say? Excellent, I found two attentive and extremely professional waiters without being formal, the owner is a well-prepared person with traditional but at the same time innovative ideas which I believe he has fully implemented. 07/04/2025: Yesterday, through The Fork, I booked a table for 7:00 pm at this restaurant. However, when we arrived, we discovered that the restaurant was closed, even though it was listed as open on all websites and in the booking confirmation. We called and the lady on the phone confirmed that the restaurant was indeed closed. This situation caused us great inconvenience and disappointment, as we had chosen this restaurant with enthusiasm. We did not expect such an inconvenience and we hope that measures will be taken to avoid similar inconveniences in the future.
