26/04/2026: An absolutely amazing place. The views from the restaurant terrace are breathtaking. You get mountains, a blue-green lake and a hill with a medieval little town, all in one view. The food was excellent and taste like it was made by the family nonna from old family recipes. Very reasonable prices. We were there in the middle of April on a sunny day and I can't believe the place was empty. Such a hidden gem!
26/12/2025: This was our second visit, and the food was excellent. The value is excellent. The service is very friendly, and in summer, the terrace offers a splendid view of the lake and Vagli Sotto. A stroll along the lake is pleasant, but we hope the restaurant is in good condition for the summer. During high season, it's best to leave your car in one of the large parking lots.

01/06/2026: I was here for lunch with my children and grandchildren, and we ate outside under the gazebo. With a view of the mountains that I've loved so much since I was a boy. A special place that's always been close to my heart. But let's move on to the food: what can I say, impeccable, everything very well prepared, both the first and second courses. The tagliata literally melts in your mouth. The manager is a friendly person who's a pleasure to chat with.

02/05/2026: The place itself isn't particularly impressive, and above all, forget the typical atmosphere of a mountain trattoria: there's nothing like that here. The real disappointment, however, is the food. The tortelli seemed anything but fresh, and the options are truly limited: with or without ragù, or a grilled meat or steak. In fact, the menu ends there. An overall disappointing experience.
12/04/2026: The refuge is located at the entrance to the Campocatino oasis, in a very panoramic position. We had lunch there on Easter Sunday, and the food was home-cooked. The menu, featuring typical dishes, was truly extensive.

10/08/2025: I'm sorry, but we booked one night for three families with just one shared bathroom and accepted this condition. At least there were no shower mats or wastebaskets, and the rooms had outdated beds, worn mattresses, and bed bases. Breakfast was included in the price.
Suffice it to say that they offered the remains of cookies left on the table by the manager's mother, who had probably had breakfast before the guests.
After paying, obviously without saying anything, I called to express my guests' dissatisfaction. They hung up on me, telling me they had other things to do!
