24/12/2025: I had lunch at La Cucina dello Scompiglio today, and overall, I'm giving it three stars based more on trust than on genuine satisfaction (otherwise, it would have been two). The main issue, from my perspective, is a significant discrepancy between the menu and what's actually served. The vocabulary used on the menu creates expectations that aren't reflected in either the plating or the overall experience. The presentation of the dishes was very basic, even sloppy. A concrete example is the charcuterie and cheese platter: served not on a real platter but on a serving platter, with cold cuts piled together, under-appreciated cheeses, and a jam placed in a rather questionable manner. Overall, a dish that feels "thrown in," out of line with the offerings and, especially, the price. Regarding the quality of the meat and the plating of the other dishes, I wasn't convinced by the quality of the food compared to the price. Another important aspect: the menu is almost entirely based on vegetables/vegetarian dishes. Nothing bad in itself, but this should be made much clearer. My friends and I had a hard time choosing because the menu didn't clearly communicate this. Another negative note about dessert: I ordered a revisited panna cotta, which I barely tasted and left almost entirely. I didn't like it at all, and was surprised that no one asked if I liked it. Considering a panna cotta is a rather simple dessert, it left me perplexed. I sincerely believe the place has potential, but in my opinion it needs a general overhaul: from the menu, to the presentation, to the consistency between the menu, dishes, and prices. I hope this review can be useful as a starting point for improvement. For now, personally, I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

21/12/2025: We stopped by by chance, but we won't be returning. The atmosphere is pleasant, with well-spaced tables, and the service is courteous and quick. The clean and tidy restrooms deserve a special mention. Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate the dishes served: the skimpy spring rolls, the steamed vegetable ravioli that looked "industrial" and tasteless, and finally the curry rice that was very, very spicy.

13/12/2025: Great place in Lucca for delicious, well-cooked fish, and excellent value! Friendly staff. The only downside is that if there's a lot of people, you'll need to be a little patient.

16/02/2026: We stopped to eat at this restaurant by chance, we were going with our cousins ​​and friends to Viareggio by motorbike. Not finding a free restaurant, my cousin searched on his cell phone and found this place, there were 7 of us. The restaurant is beautiful both outside and inside, the food very good.

10/03/2026: Local business that takes pride in their restaurant. They have their own wine and olive oil with the restaurants emblem on them. This is a higher quality restaurant with reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

08/03/2026: The food was average, and the bill was a bit pricey. €65 for an appetizer and a first course, both shared between two, a small house wine (less than half a liter), and two desserts.

The wine list is extensive and well-chosen. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing an already very enjoyable atmosphere. I highly recommend it; I'll definitely be back.

14/03/2026: If you're craving seafood, good food, and a low price, I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is small and very chaotic, but for a culinary-pleasant lunch/dinner, I highly recommend it. Advance reservations are also recommended, otherwise it's difficult to find a seat!
