Every time we are in Lucca we make sure to have dinner at Antica Locanda dell'Angelo. This is a very elegant restaurant located in the historic center with amazing food and a wonderfully kind, welcoming staff. The food they prepare is a fresh and delicious interpretation of traditional Luccese fare. We have been welcomed back by Vito and Stefania on every occasion and we have never been disappointed.

Lucca's historic restaurant, impeccably managed and offering a varied and delicately refined menu. Mr. Vito and his mother, who have run it for decades, are extremely kind and well-mannered, and it's always an honor and a true pleasure to delight your palate with their dishes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I thank the owner, Vito, for the welcome and the kindness of the staff. I had a truly wonderful meal, excellent food prepared with dedication and professionalism in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the heart of Lucca's historic center. I highly recommend this restaurant.

A beautiful, time-honored osteria in the heart of Lucca: its first highlight is undoubtedly the intimate, cozy atmosphere, set in an ancient courtyard, as well as the indoor seating. The second highlight is the music, of high quality and culture, which provides a warm and welcoming backdrop to your time here (primarily singer-songwriter and jazz, followed by a pleasant conversation with the owner, a true expert on the subject). Only for the last course, or rather, the last "course," the "main course," will I mention the food, as many patrons have already rightly raved about it. We ate excellent tordelli, Lucca's signature dish, with ragù, but I also saw other delicious pasta, meat, and even fish dishes on other patrons' plates. The price is absolutely reasonable. I will gladly return, should I ever visit Lucca again infrequently.

Historic restaurant in the heart of Lucca, with a warm, elegant, and personal atmosphere. Very friendly and professional staff. We had lunch from the à la carte menu and chose all seafood. Recommended.

We dined here last night. The service was friendly, attentive, and very customer-focused from the start. The dishes were not only meticulously prepared, but also delicious (the triple-cooked pigeon, which I'd never eaten before, was a pleasant surprise for me). In addition to the main dining room, they also have other rooms that offer more privacy, and an outdoor space for the summer. They were very kind in showing us the wine cellar. Overall, an excellent experience.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and it's always a great experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, ideal for a quiet lunch without the hustle and bustle. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel immediately at ease. The traditional dishes, revisited with originality, are excellent, always carefully prepared and of the highest quality. A five-star dinner, from the entrée to the homemade dessert, everything was exquisite. The duck ravioli were delicious, and the duck cheek was so tender it tasted like butter. Elegant location and attentive, friendly service. Nothing to add, except that we'll definitely be back!
