01/04/2024: First time but I'll be back. Excellent cuisine, endless homemade starters, many platters and canapés. Excellent cut, matured and very tasty meat.

30/12/2023: Il ristorante si trova nella frazione di Azzano, pochi chilometri a monte di Seravezza. Bella vista sulle circostanti cime delle Alpi Apuane. In estate possibilità di mangiare all’aperto. Cucina e servizio sono all’insegna della semplicità ma entrambi di ottima qualità. Il menù, non vasto, è basato sulla cucina tradizionale, prevalentemente di carne. Noi ci siamo lasciati tentare dalla Lasagna al forno con salsiccia e carciofi, dai ravioli alla farina di castagne su fonduta di burro al profumo di agrumi e dal pollo nostrale ripieno. Il tutto accompagnato da un vino della casa decisamente al di sopra della media. Se vogliamo proprio trovare un difetto a questo ristorante l’unico e’ che per i vegetariani le scelte nel menù sono davvero limitate. Rapporto qualità/prezzo davvero imbattibile!

06/04/2024: The Florentine... cooked blood should not be placed on the hot plate because it becomes medium/well cooked. The waiters don't know the menu as they don't know the wines... The environment is pleasant, even the menu is varied with several choices, the menu is pizza.

15/03/2024: Very fresh fish, right selection of wines!!! Professional staff, quick and precise service. Nice, clean place, cheerful and engaging atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended for paella lovers

07/04/2024: All quite flat, but sufficient... Unfortunately, the welcome with a smile from those at the checkout and a slightly smarter and more professional service were missing... perhaps not all the trattorias on top of a mountain have them...🤷🏻even if I don't think so depends on this... However, the "pitoro" starter was not bad (especially the cut of the cold cuts should be reviewed), good tordelli, decent pizza, grilled meat a little dry but cooked well, panzerotti baked (not fried) original and pleasant to the taste, assortment of desserts poor, but pleasant overall (the Easter-type rice cake was a little dry)... A little out of the way place, like a trattoria/steakhouse on a passing hill road... quite small room, with few tables. Normal bill for the type of location. In short, overall I don't want to give a negative rating, also because I saw a nice bone-in cut at a couple of tables that seemed to be well made, but I couldn't say if it was good and correct for the price offered... however I would recommend this one, I believe new management, to take better care of its customers right from the reception. The raw materials seem good, but if the atmosphere inside the restaurant is rather "serious", and the care in the service leaves something to be desired, believe me, you will lose many points right from the start! I wish you much luck and work and I leave you a smile, which "costs nothing to those who give it and enriches those who receive it". Good work...

02/04/2024: Without infamy and without praise. Identical to all the hillside trattorias and identical to the previous management. The furniture, the environment and the entire menu are identical. Friendly service. Not exactly cheap account

26/02/2024: Locale spartano, e ci può stare, proprietario simpatico, ma a parte questo non capisco le recensioni entusiaste... tagliere di salumi niente di ché ,tagliata e fiorentina tenere ma dal gusto insipido, senza sapore,condimenti ( olio sale) non presenti se non a richiesta. Insomma locale da non ricordare.

05/02/2024: Si mangia in una spartana sala sopra il negozio. Buoni i salumi. Ottima la tagliata,una delle migliori mai mangiate. Carne tenerissima condita solo con olio e sale. Davvero buona. Gustosa la trippa alla lucchese. Di qualità valida la grigliata di maiale. Vino della casa insufficiente. Rapporto qualità prezzo giusto. È valsa la pena andarci,ma non ripeterò l'esperienza.

03/12/2023: The food and wines are fabulous, the environment compared to the other Varrone restaurant which is located in Pietrasanta is nothing, the parking is very large But there is a but I would like to see more "beautiful waitresses" than "waiters" who serve me I recommend it to everyone 👍

09/03/2024: L’ambiente è familiare e accogliente, arredato con un gusto che ho apprezzato molto. I camerieri/gestori fanno di tutto per mettere a loro agio la clientela. Il menù offre vari piatti tipici della tradizione Lunigiana. Le pietanze sono cucinate da mani esperte e sono una vera prelibatezza. Note dolenti: - coperto € 3,00= a persona per avere sul tavolo una semplice tovaglietta di carta; - un litro d’acqua costa la bellezza di € 4,00=; - il vino sfuso al bicchiere costa da € 7,00= a salire; - le porzioni servire sono modeste nella quantità. Purtroppo non solo nei ristoranti della Versilia, ma anche in quelli dell’entroterra (come il paese di Querceta che ospita il ristorante) il rapporto tra qualità/quantità e prezzo da pagare, è sempre svantaggioso.

16/01/2024: Non mi stancherò mai di frequentare questo locale: sarà per il vissuto (quanti bei momenti della mia vita ho festeggiato quaggiù...), sarà per la loro cucina schietta e confortante (carni bianche e rosse cotte nel forno a legna non tradiscono mai), sarà per l'atmosfera del camino acceso d'inverno e del giardino/uliveto d'estate, sarà per il dinamico e professionale servizio di sala. Il mio preferito!!!

22/12/2023: Tonight we tried one of the oldest places in Lucca, LA CANTINA DI CARIGNANO. The place appears warm and welcoming the furnishings such as the piano, the beamed ceiling and the chandeliers made from wagon wheels create a style that blends between old style and country. The staff is quick but a bit resolute. Good food with traditional cuisine and home-made dishes. The mise en place is good.
