26/12/2025: One star only because it couldn't be less. Limited selection of dishes. Quality...let's forget it! Never again! Update: We were there on December 23rd for lunch before continuing on to Civitavecchia to catch the ferry to Sardinia. We took photos with your tablet, which you use to order dishes. There aren't all the dishes you're talking about.

13/12/2025: Careful selection of ingredients and a passion for quality sushi. Definitely one of the best all-you-can-eat restaurants I've ever eaten. I come here often and it's always a delightful experience. Umai is a true gem for lovers of Japanese cuisine. From the first moment, you can sense the attention to detail: the atmosphere is welcoming and elegant, perfect for both a romantic dinner and an evening with friends. The food is simply excellent: incredibly fresh sushi, balanced flavors, and meticulous presentation make each dish a masterpiece. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always available to recommend the house specialties. The value is excellent, and the overall experience truly leaves you wanting to return. Highly recommended for those seeking authentic, quality Japanese cuisine.

03/08/2025: il vermentino ino ino a prezzi esorbitanti...una bottiglia in un negozo costa quanto mezzo bicchiere in questa sorta di ristorante sul mare. Piatti niente di che e miseri, varietà insussistente, camerieri supponenti. Esperienza pessima. E' vero che Punta ala è particolare, è vero che il posto da sul mare ma soono andato per mangiare e ho mangiato poco e speso un'eresia.

23/07/2025: This is my fourth stay at this property, which I've known since 2003. It's perfect for those seeking total relaxation in a well-maintained location, surrounded by nature. The breakfast is fantastic, and the staff, who pamper you with top-notch service, are this hotel's strong points. I recommend a stay here to anyone looking for a relaxing break surrounded by nature, as well as families with children.

09/11/2025: New experience unlocked: eating badly in Italy, or rather in Tuscany! A mixed cheese platter that was anything but mixed. We certainly weren't expecting, in a region with such a wide variety of local products like this, four pieces of Parmesan and two of a banal supermarket cheese. We ordered gnocchi, and finished them. Then we ordered pasta with zucchini flowers and guanciale, but it tasted only of soffritto, curry, and stale guanciale oil... not a single zucchini flower was in it. I regret not having read the other reviews before. A real tourist trap. Ps. The water jugs were filthy!! 🤢

19/08/2025: We ate spaghetti, which was good. Unfortunately, the portions were small and, with a cover charge for a paper tablecloth without bread, olive oil, salt, and pepper, far too expensive. Especially considering the bar-like atmosphere.

25/09/2025: The ambiance isn't exactly impressive. The food (apart from pizza) wasn't extensive, and they didn't even have everything. The food was OK, but nothing spectacular. No reservation is required (I can now understand why).

22/09/2025: Very limited menu. The lupini pasta was horrible and tasteless, and the octopus and potatoes were floating in oil. Exorbitantly priced. The only nice thing is the sunset, but if you want a decent dinner, you'd better find a different location.

21/12/2025: We stumbled upon this bar by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the welcome from what we assume is the owner, the service, and the food and drinks. It's a one-of-a-kind place that embodies the authenticity and flavor of real coffee, so much so that we even bought some beans (two 200g bags), one with a strong, intense flavor and the other espresso, freshly ground by the kind gentleman. The young lady was very kind and quick, and the coffee we drank was one of the best we've ever tasted. Kudos also to the Sachertorte, which, unfortunately, wasn't enough; I would have liked more. The price is absolutely reasonable. We recommend this little place if you're in Parma; we'll definitely be back.

13/12/2025: Dislike and hatred toward customers. The two of us stop for a coffee and a water, and while we're drinking, I sadly feel the urge to use the bathroom. I deal with the problem and, I admit, I only occupied the bathroom for a scant 15 minutes. While I'm cleaning up, leaving it cleaner than I found it, the barista comes over and slams the door twice; I leave, alarmed, and she looks askance at me. As we leave, my girlfriend, a little distressed, confides in me that the aforementioned barista had been giving her dirty looks the entire time I was in the bathroom, and that she'd been urging her to leave with sour looks. If you have to use the bathroom with a stopwatch, or worse, be judged for using it, say so first. And, finally, as if that weren't enough, the coffee wasn't even that great.

01/09/2025: Unfortunately, all the good things done by the old, historic management are just a distant memory. The new managers are very rude and decidedly disinterested in customer service. The food quality has also significantly deteriorated. I've also noticed, having been frequenting Principina for decades, that many of the regular customers have changed establishments over the past few years.

29/12/2025: One of the worst pizzas. The manager's kindness, unfortunately, didn't make up for the pizza I ate, only because I was hungry and tired and looking for another. I hope he improves the product because he was very kind.

23/02/2026: We went to this bar for a drink and weren't happy with the bartender's behavior. He was very rude and inconsiderate. We definitely won't be setting foot in this bar again! A word of advice to the bartender...change jobs!!!

25/09/2025: Be warned, don't go here! We were looking for a restaurant and it was raining, so we quickly sat down (no one was there yet). I ordered a Coke Zero and my friend a Sprite. We got a children's Coke still and tonic water. The man immediately asked if we wanted fish and pasta, but I immediately asked for the menu. We got one, and while my friend was looking at it, I started reading the reviews. After that, we immediately asked for the bill and said we only wanted drinks. The man yelled at us that it wasn't a bar, but a restaurant. So we got up, went inside, and asked if we could pay. The man behind the bar also angrily said that it wasn't a bar, but a restaurant. We just paid €5 for drinks. Run away!

19/09/2025: No, no, no. Don't go. A total tourist trap. He serves whatever he wants. There's only fish (seems to be a scam: luring tourists with a colorful board with attractive prices and then ripping them off. First, he gave us two glasses of white wine and two starter plates without asking. Only reluctantly did he show us the menu. We ordered a mixed starter, ravioli, and swordfish. When he brought us pasta, which we definitely hadn't ordered, and I objected, he shouted at me. An Italian woman came to my aid. I paid for the starter, the water, and a glass of wine, and left. The Italian couple who helped me did too, by the way.
