15/05/2025: ZEROCALCARE signing sessions. He and the publisher Bao are very nice and punctual. Only one star instead for the organization of the event by the bookstore. Divided into 3 steps: drawing 15.00-18.00, 18.00-19.00 talk, 19.30-24.00 signing session. I leave home at 6.50, train and off I go, I arrive at 7.40 and I am 63rd in line (a gentleman contacted us 3 times), opening at 9 and delivery of the passes (bracelets) with a number written on them. They say that for the 1st step there are only 75 passes, I'll go back!! but when it's my turn they're already sold out 🤔 (I'm 15 and I'm ashamed to do myself justice), I'm the 6th excluded so I have to settle for the signing session. I feel bad😩, I get angry😡, I repress it thinking that the important thing will be to meet him. I enter school in 3rd period, I go out, I eat a sandwich on the fly and at 2pm I get back in line outside the library for the 6pm talk. At 4pm everyone stands, otherwise "we'll take up too much space" says one of the security guards. Finally I go in and enjoy the chat. They say NOW EVERYONE OUT AND WHO HAS A PASS FOR THE FIRMADILLO GET IN LINE FOR THE TIME GROUPS WRITTEN ON THE BRACELET. I go out, convinced that I will return almost immediately since I am number 6 in the first group, and here is another injustice, the line (60 people per hour) has already formed while the talk was taking place, I am second to last... My mother has joined me, worried about the time of returning to the train, she argues with the 2 security "gorillas" who do not enforce the order of the numbers assigned in the morning, the response of one of them is I DON'T CARE AT ALL ABOUT THE NUMBER. I am back inside to meet him, finally, even if I am the last one in the third time I have been in line since this morning. I look at the time and if everything goes well we will be able to take the 9.14 train and return home by 10pm... the director of the bookstore arrives and takes me by the hand and makes me climb among the first, perhaps she has understood that something has gone wrong? I thank her, but this is just not right, 3 times in line despite the numbered bracelet. What should be security, of indecent rudeness. I arrive home at 9 pm, very tired but still happy. Because to get justice you have to raise your voice, why?

08/08/2025: Prosecco was offered as soon as you walked in, and takeaway pizzas arrived promptly. For me, it's the best pizzeria in Pistoia.

04/07/2025: It is an incredible setting that looks at Mulazzo, a beautival medival town. An extensive range of starters and pizzas to die for. Well worth while checking out.

02/07/2025: I visited Mulazzo on June 3, 2025 to feel the breath of Dante. I arrived at lunchtime, but all the restaurants in Mulazzo were closed. Fortunately, I was able to satisfy my hunger at All'Isola Felice which is located on the edge of the Borgo, despite it being out of hours, thanks to the kindness of Mrs. Floriana. The food was delicious and her kindness doubled the flavor. Her kindness and her explanations about the city, as a Mulazzo native, will remain in my heart forever. I definitely want to go back^^ Thank you Floriana!!

03/07/2025: Characteristic place, clean and nice not very big, but the tables are not sacrificed, friendly staff. They do not have a menu card, they make a list verbally ... too bad. The prices are displayed as soon as you enter on a blackboard, as you can see in the photo. Very good the fact of being able to choose a land menu or a seafood menu The courses are not abundant, but they are good ... a little full of oil (at least the ones we had) All in all 4 stars are fine we did not spend a lot and in any case the food is good, the only flaw they brought us the first courses at different times so my wife or I waited for the other, the same for the second course. I add that they are slow in serving and I remove the fourth star

08/07/2025: Our experience at this restaurant was beyond positive. The waiter was unobtrusive but kind, and helped us choose the wine. One of the women was pregnant, and he was kind enough to treat her with consideration. The dishes were well-served and very tasty.

21/08/2025: They should update the Google page. It said it was open, but we found it closed. In the middle of August... annoying.

07/07/2025: A restaurant that is a bit « hidden » due to having to cross the entrance to the tennis club but which is located in a suggestive place, right next to the city walls. Not everything is handmade, nevertheless the kitchen offers a choice of simple but quality dishes and friendly service. Pretty extensive menu and more than reasonable prices.

13/08/2025: DELICIOUS LUNCH INSIDE A CASTLE ! My wife and I arrived in Florence by Bullet Train from Rome on Sunday, March 23rd. A well appointed king suite on the 5th floor of the luxurious Hotel Berchielli would be HOME for the next 4 days. Hard to beat that view of the picturesque River Arno ! We had a couple of day tours planned while in Florence and had engaged the services of our fav limo tour driver Martin who knew the ropes around here better than most. And more than that Martin had become our good friend since we first used his services 18 months before when he drove us from Florence to Bologna via the scenic route. On Monday Martin picked us up out front to begin our road tour of Tuscany. AMAZING SCENERY EVERYWHERE ! We stopped at Piazza del Campo for a look around...Siena Cathedral was beautiful ! In the distance I could see a large structure that looked like a castle. I said to Martin that I had never seen a castle....then we will go there Michael was his reply. Martin let us out at the front entrance while he parked the limo...and then he joined us within a few minutes. WOW ! What we could see out front sure looked majestic. NOTE ! San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany, north-central Italy. Known as the Town of Five Towers, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses which with its hilltop setting and encircling walls, form "an unforgettable skyline". In the 3rd century BC a small Etruscan village stood on the site of San Gimignano. Shortly after we entered through the front gate my wife bought a beautiful Italian wide brimmed straw hat to replace the one left behind on the Bullet Train. We walked along the pristine paved paths looking at the wide variety of small businesses designed to please the hordes of tourists who visit here. At around 1pm we decided it was time to have some lunch and Martin knew the perfect spot...La Biscondola. We found a level table on the sloping outdoor patio and a smiling server named Giusy brought us menus. FIRST UP ! I ordered a bottle of Vale Blonde Ale to come out with our glasses of iced waters. I also asked Guisy to bring me a tall stem glass. FOOD ! I wasn't really sure what I wanted so I thought ordering a Bruschetta would be a good start. My wife and Martin both went with serves of Zuppa Toscana di Farro ( Tuscan spelled soup ). My ice cold blonde ale in a tall stemmed glass tasted very good. SUPER FAST SERVICE ! Before we knew it our server Giusy brought everything out to our table. My wife and our friend Martin commented how satisfying their soups tasted....it was a chilly day. OMG ! When I ordered my bruschetta I figured it would be a small serve and then I would order something else. BIGGEST BRUSCHETTA EVER ! But tell you what....it was totally delicious. DESSERT ! We had plans to buy gelatos at a very famous gelateria up the street but some sort of cake sounded nice. When I was checking out inside a bit earlier I saw this interesting looking cake on the bar counter. Giusy told me it was called Panforte Fichi e Noci ( figs, nuts, honey ). Everyone agreed we should have some. Soon after Giusy brought out 6 thin slices on a platter...it tasted dense, rich and very flavorsome. We loved it. I had a lovely chat with Stefania the owner before we headed off on our merry way. A VERY ENJOYABLE LUNCH !

05/08/2025: Wonderful spot for a sandwich and a Spritz. Food is good, not great, but very solid overall. Service was amazing and the atmosphere is A+. Your in an old Italian town. What else could you ask for?

17/08/2025: We went to Nena's in Anghiari and had an excellent Florentine steak, cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service friendly and attentive. A place where you eat well and feel at ease.

05/08/2025: A pleasant surprise. Typical food, friendly service. We found the restaurant on a detour, and we were so glad we did. A gem along the way, with fair prices.

10/07/2025: Excellent delicatessen in Forte dei Marmi. Excellent quality products, cured meats, cheeses, and more. You can also dine in, serving delicious first courses, second courses, and side dishes. Friendly and helpful staff. If you're passing through Forte dei Marmi, this is a must-stop for lunch. Highly recommended!

16/08/2025: We had a delicious lunch: pizza and pappardelle. The food prices were reasonable, but the drink prices were ridiculous! We paid €55 for a meal for five people, and €30 for one bottle of water and five cans of cola! It's a shame tourists are being ripped off like this!

15/08/2025: A charming setting in Casino di Terra, a hamlet of Montecatini Val di Cecina. The restaurant, with plenty of seating both inside and out, is the perfect place to refuel with an excellent lunch made with fresh, local ingredients. As a vegan, I tried their pinsa romana with vegetables, arugula pesto, and flaked almonds: a true explosion of flavor, difficult to be as satisfied as at other pizzerias or restaurants in the area. Their bar area is stocked with delicious-looking and delicious vegan croissants and pastries, which is definitely a huge plus, ensuring breakfast (or, in my case, dessert) is as inclusive as possible. The restaurant staff is very friendly and approachable, a characteristic always appreciated and never taken for granted, which makes me want to return. I've been there twice already and will be back again. Highly recommended!

31/08/2025: The food and drink are good, from meat and fish to pizza. The staff are very friendly and fast. The outdoor patio is very noisy, but the interior is very comfortable. Well done, thank you.

31/08/2025: Terrible. Avoid celiacs. They say on the phone that they have products for celiacs, and when you walk in the door, a big sign awaits you stating that there's a risk of contamination for celiacs. And that's exactly what happened; I ended up with a nasty mouth ulcer. Also, my husband ordered a pizza with burrata, and shortly afterward he had bouts of diarrhea. A very negative experience.

13/08/2025: We went to this restaurant and, in addition to eating wonderfully, we were lucky enough to meet Antonio, the 3-star service manager, and the legendary Iba, Engi... a bundle of energy. The restaurant was packed, it almost felt like the last day on Earth, and everyone had decided to dine there! The tables were so close together that if we'd sneezed, we'd have toasted with those at the next table; we were at table number 34. The waiters moved like a human Tetris choreography, trying to fit between chairs and bags, with a grace worthy of a Mission Impossible movie. But then Iba arrives, and the show begins. She wasn't just a waitress; she was an acrobatic dancer, a stage comedian, a superhero on duty. With her quick, comical movements, she seemed to glide between the tables as if on invisible skates. Despite the chaos, Iba managed to get us laughing, keep calm, and above all, get everything warm and in the right place, and that alone is a miracle worth telling about. Antonio, kind and professional, looked after us attentively and with a smile, but the real queen of the evening was you, Iba. Congratulations, you made us feel right at home... but with even more laughter.

13/08/2025: We went to dinner at this place after it was recommended to us, but the experience was… strange. As soon as we sat down, this blonde woman arrived. She was very agitated, stammering, and always seemed in a hurry and uncomfortable, as if she were constantly out of breath. Every time he approached the table, it was a different scene; he literally threw the bread baskets on the table, saying, "Here's the bread, please!", and disappeared before we could say anything. At one point, he asked us for the same order twice, and then brought the wrong one anyway. When we pointed this out, he shook his head nervously and muttered something like, "Oh, but today is a mess..." before running off again. It felt more like a scene from a comedy movie than actual restaurant service. The food was okay (nothing memorable), but honestly, the anxiety the service conveyed ruined the experience. I understand the chaos, I understand that the place was crowded, but maybe a little more calm and professionalism... and fewer flying bread baskets, please.

05/09/2025: The food was very tasty: appetizer, pasta, and dessert. The service was friendly, albeit unnecessarily slow. The prices are reasonable, and the location is top-notch.

20/08/2025: We ordered the house mixed seafood antipasto, which was very generous and well-made. The only downside is that if you eat on the roadside (as we did), you'll be wafting a lot of exhaust fumes, given the proximity and heavy traffic.

15/08/2025: Super fresh fish, expertly cooked, at very reasonable prices considering the location and sea view! Highly recommended. Kudos to the service.
