Luckily, in Lunigiana there are numerous places where you're greeted with a smile, the food is excellent, and the price is reasonable. In Bagnone, for example, at Trattoria del Ponte, you can have a fantastic lunch for almost half the price in a proper dining room with super-friendly staff, as is at Capriolo, etc. The self-service restaurant in Aulla is even better. I definitely wouldn't go back here, nor would I recommend it.
