06/09/2025: I'm leaving ⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I'm an honest person, with a modicum of culinary expertise, and what I tasted was excellent! From the quality of the ingredients to the cooking... nothing to complain about! Very nice location: the restaurant is nestled in the well-kept hamlet in the heart of Lajatico. It's a shame, however, that the service was rather unpleasant. Perhaps we hit a "bad lunch," the restaurant owner was having trouble, the wrong day... But we booked for two adults and two children, and I would never return with my kids. There were no children's options, and the menu offered didn't include dishes you could easily feed toddlers. We were told that it wasn't even possible to make changes to the main courses, so "make do" was the translation. And all of this was accompanied by an annoyed and indisposed tone and attitude. Bread is available for celiacs, but there's no first course (pasta is now available in all supermarkets), and those who can't eat gluten must choose from the second course. In conclusion, €62 for three courses, water, and cover charge (no wine). I'd say there's room for improvement. The location and quality of the food are worth it.

29/07/2025: Terrible service, with annoyed faces and answers from waitresses who turned their backs as they crossed the room, not in front, to make simple requests. The mixed Tuscan antipasto was completely pointless given the way it was served and prepared, especially given the price. Crostini were unremarkable. Very little clarity on wine availability, despite their recommendation to consult the list. We were met with sidelong glances throughout the entire service; we felt completely uneasy. Never again, not even if it were the only restaurant open.

14/12/2024: Ci siamo fermati in questo posto attratti dalle recensioni negative che ci parlavano soprattutto della signora cafona alla cassa. Molto prevenuti, siamo andati carichi e pronti a risponderle con un bel vaffa alla prima scortesia, invece abbiamo trovato degli ottimi panini, personale gentilissimo, accogliente e Generoso; abbiamo ricevuto uno sconto non richiesto e in omaggio un assaggio di una cosa tipica. è proprio un posto da non ritornarci Se invece vuoi essere trattato male e mandato a quel paese dalla cassiera🤣

13/08/2025: I ordered a gluten-free pizza because I was told the dough was the same and I didn't want to get a stomach ache. We should have gotten frozen dough because it was so hard... I tried the other doughs, and they were much better 😅 My porcini looked like they came in a jar or a box, but they weren't great. Yet the restaurant seemed quite disappointed... The spritz was good.

23/08/2025: A great option for those who need to eat gluten-free, but also want to avoid sacrificing anything. The entire menu is also available in a gluten-free version. Fried food is superb, very dry, and plentiful.

04/08/2025: Gorgeous covered outdoor dining area and enchanting poolside tables. The welcome and service were truly excellent, courteous, and professional. The dishes were beautiful and truly delicious: I recommend the tuna tartare and octopus salad as appetizers, and all the first courses were fabulous. It's not cheap, but the prices are more than fair for the quality, generous portions, ingredients, location (in Viareggio, in Versilia, on the Terrazza della Repubblica, a quiet promenade), service, ambiance, and atmosphere. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.

30/06/2025: Nice environment already known with the previous management, good food but a little difficult to choose from the paper menu because some current culinary terms are not very understandable. Excessively slow service especially for the appetizer (zucchini flower stuffed with creamed cod) for which we had to wait an hour!!!! Price in my opinion, high.
