11/08/2025: Borgo della Colomba is located in a small valley crossed by the Via Francigena. Peace and tranquility reign supreme, along with the soothing sound of water flowing in the stream beside the village. The management at Borgo della Colomba is kind and attentive.

04/09/2025: We were so disappointed. The reception was hostile-couldn’t find our reservations and blamed us until they finally found it. The servers were friendly to us but seemed unhappy with their employer. The lasagnas came out right away but one of our group did not get our order until all of the rest of us were finished. The spinach truffle turnovers were delicious. The lasagna was good but no better than others. The carbonara was average.

26/05/2025: I was a guest last night with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant is located within the walls of Lucca, my advice is to leave the car outside as it is a ZTL area. Don't rely too much on Google Maps if you don't want to go home with a fine. The dinner includes a choice of three surprise tastings: 5, 7 or 9 courses plus dessert. We chose the last one with a cost of €150 per person, excluding wine. The menu included fish and meat dishes with a touch of genius in every single course that made the dinner very fun and satisfying, especially since we didn't know what to expect since it is a blind tasting. Compliments to the dining room staff who listened to us and followed us from the beginning to the end of the dinner, doing their job impeccably. The restaurant is also accessible to people with disabilities and is pet friendly.

26/05/2025: My wife and I went to this restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The menu includes a choice of three culinary courses, consisting of five, seven or nine plus dessert. In our case we opted for the 10-course total for a cost of €150 per person. The course winds through fish and meat dishes with different consistencies and cooking methods and combinations reinterpreted by chef Tomei. The wine list presents a great variety and different typologies with particular labels from all over the world. The dining room staff is very kind and well prepared. The restaurant is located within the walls of Lucca immersed in the beautiful setting of the Pfanner palace, be careful of the ZTL.

19/05/2025: Passed by Sunday early afternoon, since the window had mostly mignon, I was attracted by a Sicilian cannolo with a tag that said CANNOLO SICILIANO. Nice to eat but I immediately realized that it was not ricotta cream. I asked at the counter and they confirmed that the filling was also made with cream. Please ..... don't call it Sicilian ...

30/04/2025: Di passaggio, facendo il Cammino di San Jacopo in Toscana, mi fermo per apporre il timbro sulla credenziale e vengo accolto come se fossi in famiglia. Mangiato divinamente, bevuto un buon rosso locale, caffè, una bottiglietta di acqua fresca e pagato... questo non posso dirvelo perché ho avuto il trattamento da pellegrino. Se capitate in Piazza Rapisardi 10, entrate a LE BONTÀ DI GIULIA e poi mi farete sapere. Raramente dò 5 stelle ma qui sono meritate.

29/08/2025: We arrived at almost 10 pm, and they kindly let us eat, only closing the kitchen when we'd had everything. The handmade pasta dishes were truly unique. The desserts, too, were homemade, simple, and delicious. It felt a bit like stepping back into Tuscan family cooking. I'll be back for the meat dishes. The prices are fair for the quality.

23/08/2025: We ordered tortelli with meat sauce, two covers, and two bottles of water, and we spent €42. The tortelli were good, but the rest was pretty poor. The atmosphere was typical of a trattoria, a bit run-down (the bathroom wasn't clean). The cured meats at the counter were all oxidized. Furthermore, the service was very slow (about an hour for the meal).

01/06/2025: A pastry shop like those of the past with a huge variety of pastries, here you can say you had an excellent breakfast and not with skimpy pastries. The coffee shop is also very good, the staff is kind and polite, 5 stars deserved, compliments.

19/08/2025: This morning I went to breakfast at Bar Italia and received some less than pleasant service. I initially asked for a croissant, and was asked if I wanted to eat it in or take it away. I wanted to eat it there. It was served only with a napkin, and I had to ask for a plate. Then I wanted to ask for orange juice, but despite raising my arm several times to make myself visible, the waiters wouldn't listen. So I approached them with my request (a bit brusquely, because I was getting impatient), but they did. This breakfast at Bar Italia didn't satisfy me, and so I think it's right to review it.

17/06/2025: Bar with pastry ambitions, decent desserts but no excellence, fast but aseptic staff, a bit expensive compared to others.

27/07/2025: Very good pizza, crispy and not excessive crust, an experience to repeat.

19/07/2025: We just left the restaurant, it was our first time there, and I have to say that everything was truly excellent....we are very satisfied, thanks to our friends Alberto and Barbara who introduced us to the place....I will definitely recommend it to all my Tuscan friends.

16/07/2025: The atmosphere is simple and welcoming. The place was packed, and even without a reservation, we waited very little, just long enough for an aperitif. The dishes were simple but delicious. The staff was young and cheerful...everything made it enjoyable.

12/07/2025: Recommended by those who live in Marina di Campo, it lived up to expectations. The only flaw is that when the sirocco blows, a fan to circulate the air wouldn't hurt. Otherwise, everything was top-notch.
