17/08/2025: Perhaps we came on the wrong night—the power went out a few times due to a local storm, and the Marsala wine was quickly replaced. Otherwise, the portions of the appetizers, cold cuts, and grilled meat were too small, the pappardelle with wild boar were dry, and the cacio e pepe spaghetti were drowning. When we pointed out the shortage of meat, they quickly made us some ribs with apologies. I don't understand why they waited for our request... in light of this, the price we paid is not in line with the food provided and the quality. That said, the waiters were very kind and helpful, if at times a little awkward. It's because of them that I gave two stars instead of one.

07/09/2025: Disappointing evening at a fish restaurant – plenty of room for improvement The two of us visited the fish restaurant on a weekday evening, expecting to enjoy a special evening with good food. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in several ways. On the positive side, the prompt service was worth mentioning: We were quickly shown to our table and provided with water and menus. After that, however, the wait began. Our order wasn't taken until about 20 minutes later, even though several servers walked past our table several times, clearly ignoring us. It seemed as if they were either not in charge or had limited German skills – in any case, we felt overlooked during this time. The selection of fish dishes was surprisingly limited for a specialized fish restaurant. The only options were tuna tartare, a tuna steak, and a whole grilled fish, which was only available for two people. Side dishes weren't actively offered; only upon inquiry did we learn that only spinach was available – no potatoes, no salad, no grilled vegetables. It seemed unloving and poorly thought out. The appetizer – linguine with some fish cubes – tasted good, but at €18, it was overpriced for the portion size. Furthermore, the wait for the appetizer was a full 40 minutes. The main course was finally served after a total of 1.5 hours. The tuna was okay, but not particularly tasty – cooked thoroughly, accompanied by a little spinach and a few drops of mayonnaise. The presentation was plain and uninspired – no lemon, no fresh greens, no discernible aesthetic. The service overall seemed disorganized. The empty dishes – both at our table and at those already vacated – remained for a long time, even though the restaurant was only about two-thirds full. Only one young employee seemed to be keeping track of things and trying to maintain some structure. The rest of the team seemed more stressed than attentive. The external appearance of the space also left much to be desired. The restroom was in a poor condition – the loose toilet seat, which was only hanging by a single screw, was particularly noticeable. The rest of the restrooms also appeared unkempt and neglected, which unfortunately confirmed the overall impression. Conclusion: We were looking forward to a pleasant evening in a good fish restaurant, but were disappointed in almost every respect. The price-performance ratio here is disproportionate. Given the lackluster service, limited selection, and poor organization, we see no reason for another visit. There's definitely a lot of potential for improvement here.

24/08/2025: A great little place to enjoy a relaxing evening. The staff are helpful and very polite, always smiling. The appetizers (meat) are plentiful and well-prepared. The pizza is truly delicious, and there's a wide variety to choose from! The prices are reasonable, in fact, very affordable! An excellent little place from every perspective. 10+

13/07/2025: The bruschetta + spritz offer is a bit of a scam, one portion has 2 mini bruschettas that don't fill you up very much, the price is 7 euros per person and in my opinion we are not very honest 😡😤. The drink was good.

24/02/2025: I Parolai è un tapas bar allestito con gusto in un locale dalle mura antiche, con un ottimo connubio fra classico e moderno. Mi ci sono recato un sabato sera tardi per bere un buon drink con la mia compagna e le mie aspettative non sono state affatto deluse. L'ambiente è vivace, nella serata in cui ci siamo capitati c'era un DJ set con una selezione di musica vintage ed il locale era molto movimentato. Nonostante il grande afflusso di clienti siamo stati serviti prontamente ed i cocktail che abbiamo scelto preparati con cura. Personalmente ho provato un cocktail molto fresco a base di ottimo gin Senensis e basilico, per poi proseguire con uno spicy margarita al mango (la purea di mango, ben dosata, bilanciava delicatamente l'acidità del cocktail). L'estro del barman è evidente e considerata la qualità pregevole dei distillati utilizzati per le preparazioni, il ricarico è sorprendentemente basso. La prossima volta che tornerò a Siena conto di tornare in questo locale perchè la scelta di drink è ampia e originale, con proposte di alto livello su vini, bollicine e distillati. Se ne avrò la possibilità, mi fermerò anche a cena per provare la loro cucina.

14/01/2025: Locale vicino Porta OVILE ben curato dal proprietario dove abbiamo festeggiato l'anno nuovo con piatti di alta qualità con prodotti di materia superiore .....il tutto bagnato da una bottiglia di champagne con servizio ai tavoli da parte delle cameriere gentile e professionale!!! Prezzo finale ONESTO da ritornare !!!! COMPLIMENTI!!!

Highly qualified staff accompanied us throughout lunch, which turned out to be a delightful gastronomic experience. Top-quality ingredients and a wide selection of local wines. Highly recommended!

13/08/2025: I ate with friends at this authentic agriturismo, atop a small hill. It's delicious, unpretentious, and authentically rural, run by the husband and wife team of farmers, ranchers, cook, and waiter. The food is excellent, locally sourced (bread, pasta, meat, vegetables), and all cooked by them. The atmosphere is lovely and simple. I'll be back.

08/08/2025: Under new management, a young and highly skilled pizza chef, excellent pizzas, perfectly crispy, top-quality ingredients, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Takeout is available, just minutes from Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can enjoy delicious pizza as the sun sets with a beautiful view. Highly recommended. We've been back several times and tried the various pizzas...all fabulous...the best thing is the tomato sauce, truly worthy of praise. Bravo, Dario, you continue to amaze us with the unique flavors you offer every time we come. It's become a regular stop!

06/08/2025: Go here. Best pizza we had in Italy! We had this on the second day of our trip and I tried replicating it in other pizzerias. And it was the only pizza my kids loved while there. None compared. I will dream of this pizza🤤

09/07/2025: We had an anniversary dinner at Il Melograni. We were a family with 3 generations present. The food and service was amazing. We had preordered the meal with a cake for dessert. Beatiful and tasty cake and my parents were superhappy with the food and arrangements. I highly recommend the restaurant. Well done, Matteo and the rest of the team.
