A lousy welcome from the hotel staff, a soundproof room in a characterless annex, but then, as consolation, a good pizza in the restaurant and extremely friendly staff at breakfast.

My family and I spent an evening at Il Castello in Petralia Sottana. Luca and his family welcomed us with warmth and kindness, making us feel right at home. The dinner that night was incredible, and one we will always remember. I look forward to returning and discovering more of the town.

07/07/2026: Our favorite place for breakfast. The pastries and deli items are delicious, and the ice cream is also good. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money.

31/05/2026: Lovely place, we ate really good traditional Sicilian dishes. A great day trip outside Palermo!
24/05/2026: In the middle of an olive field, very Sicilian experience. It üs a restaurant where locals go on weekends. They serve local food which was excellent from the delicious vegetarian dishes as the starters to the meat and cannolo at the end. Portions were incredibly generous, enough to feed an army.
