20/03/2026: Located in a historic location in the center of Palermo, the burgers are very meaty but unfortunately not very tasty. It might fill your stomach, but burgers 🍔 aren't given much importance in Italian cuisine. The staff are very grumpy.

28/01/2026: Ordered through a self-service kiosk, paid for 8 sauces, and not a single one was delivered. Arrogance or cunning? After getting home, I had to go back, and once there, the clerk replied, "Well, why do you have a ticket?" 😣😱😬🤔 (the receipt!???). Besides, the order arrives at the cash register via kiosk, but what language is that? What kind of response is that? Dear businessmen/women of this 2.0 sandwich shop, I hope reading these reviews inspires you to explain to your employees how not to annoy very unpleasant people like me, who never come back, for sauces that you probably pay a fifth or maybe less than what you sell them (without giving them) to customers.

11/10/2025: This is the first time I've encountered such terrible service in Italy. What was it? A meal—lunch—for 35 euros? Cold potatoes, burnt octopus tentacles? Tomatoes chopped in a bowl? Are you kidding, without salt, pepper, or oil? Which wasn't even on the table? Horrible!!! And the waiter calmly took our money!!! Seeing that we'd barely tried the food and were indignant!! We should have left immediately as soon as we saw the waiter approaching us with an indifferent look. It was terrible, disgusting!!! Our mood was ruined. And we had something to compare it to; we'd received excellent food and service at another market the day before. But here there are crowds of people and such a... garbage dump. Don't waste your time or your mood on this place.

10/10/2025: You have to try really hard to cook and serve your customers so poorly. The waiter looked away from us when we ordered. A salad of bland, sliced ​​tomatoes, three eggplant and cheese rolls, burnt baby squid tentacles with cold, day-old potatoes, two glasses of wine (not bad) – 35 euros. We managed to find not only the most expensive place in Palermo, where everything is half the price, but also the one with the worst service. There was no salt, pepper, or oil on the table. I went back twice to get the bill and leave quickly! Pay attention to the reviews. This place's 3.2 rating is several times too high. Avoid!!!

26/12/2025: We spent Boxing Day at Agriturismo Argomesi and it was a truly wonderful experience. We ate wonderfully, with abundant, authentic dishes prepared with great care: you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion in the kitchen. A special thanks goes to the owner Giorgio, a very kind, helpful, and genuine person. He made us feel at home, always attentive and smiling. Welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, and great hospitality. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

02/05/2026: Tourist Trap. Ice cream was not good at all and very expensive. 2 cups of ice-cream with 2 flavours and 1 small sparkling water came to over €15. I only managed to eat one flavour. Ladies toilet was very dirty and was given an unitimized bill.

23/10/2025: I've been working at this location for almost 2 years. The new management is called THE NEW LA CANTINA. Unfortunately, this page is outdated. I invite all our customers to visit the Facebook page The New La Cantina, where you'll see the place completely changed. The photos on this Google profile are more than 5 years old, so they're not accurate. I've attached a photo of the place now.

19/11/2025: The macaroni was very good, and the chicken breast was good too. For dessert, a small cannelloni. Very small portions and very slow service. We were in a group, and they seemed overwhelmed because of the delays in serving.

30/09/2025: They are called a pizzeria while not having pizza on the lunch menu, very dissatisfied + the food is more than expensive :-(

29/11/2025: Terrible place. I went with a friend for dessert: I remembered an excellent almond parfait, so I asked for that. They served me a packaged dessert, without anyone telling me in advance, with the consistency of pudding and no almonds or their flavor. I returned it, and the waitress (very kind, it must be said) brought me another dessert, saying it was the parfait: it was identical to the first, only covered in almonds, and it tasted like ricotta. This one was also returned. The owner tried to get me a third, but after the previous two, I decided to decline. When it came time to pay, the cashier tried to charge me for the dessert I hadn't eaten, and only when I asked for an explanation did the owner inform her that it shouldn't be added to the bill. It would have been correct to inform her beforehand. Terrible experience, both for the quality of the desserts and for the handling of the situation. I won't be returning. I would give zero stars, but that's not allowed.

24/11/2025: Terrible experience for a tragic Saturday night. I even ordered pizza at lunchtime for 9:30 PM, where I asked for punctuality for guests I had for dinner. I was guaranteed maximum punctuality. After 4 calls for information and requests, the pizzas arrived at 10:15 PM COLD, WRONG, UNCUT, and WITHOUT SLICES, as I requested. A bad impression on my dinner guests, given that we started eating at 10:30 PM. First and last time. NOT RECOMMENDED!

21/08/2025: Arancini with butter, €2, one star, pistachio croissant, €1.30, just the pistachio pieces on top, three stars. Better as a tobacco.

27/01/2026: I ate at this restaurant-pizzeria for a birthday. Arriving at the parking lot, which was already full at 9:00 PM, we parked on the main road. The place was very cute and welcoming, well-heated and cozy, and was packed with people, given the pizza tour option, which many people preferred. Unfortunately, we ate later than expected due to the crowds and the large number of pizzas. I chose a lactose-free parmigiana with cooked ham, very thin but with excellent toppings. The evening was pleasant and fun; there was even a vocalist with a repertoire of beautiful Italian music, and some customers even joined in by singing songs upon request. After dinner, at the request of some customers, there were even moments of dancing. The staff was very kind and helpful. I couldn't help but notice the beautiful view; being below the Carini Castle, it boasts a breathtaking view. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

04/11/2025: I went in the evening in the summer and the air conditioning was broken, it was a real sauna... every time I try this Mc's I'm increasingly dissatisfied. The fries are always empty, basically, between small and large, only the price varies. The slowest among the others and sometimes rude. I live very close by, but I prefer to travel several kilometers just to get to Via Ugo La Malfa or Via Nicoletti. Without a doubt, it's a whole other level in terms of service, cleanliness, and friendliness.

04/04/2026: We visited this restaurant knowing it was in a tourist-heavy area, but it was busy and lively, which made us decide to give it a try. The atmosphere was energetic and the food itself was genuinely good — we enjoyed what we ordered. I can see why there are quite a few negative reviews. Our experience suggests that many of them may stem from human error and, in particular, the behavior of certain staff members. As we were leaving after paying, we were abruptly stopped by a female staff member who assumed we hadn’t paid. She called out “excuse me” in a rather aggressive manner, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary given that the situation could have been handled more calmly. We also noticed that the same staff member raised her voice at another table next to us over a mistake in their order, leading to a tense exchange. Based on this, it seems likely that this individual’s temperament is contributing to many of the negative reviews. Overall, the food and atmosphere were positive, but the service experience — at least in this instance — detracted from what could have been a much better visit.
