Greta's In Palermo

I stopped in for lunch with friends. Unique show, very nice people, fantastic products. All very good. Compliments #I'll dance

I don't understand the bad reviews. Here we are in an open public marketplace with all the shouting, loudness and the usual and of course appreciated by everyone - including tourists. It's all just going around there and it's not a quiet atmosphere. But that's exactly what you want... Whatever some people feel... we had - Mega pasta with perfect fresh shrimps - Great pasta alla Greta Pasta al dente - perfect - everything simple style - but suitable and harmonious. Greta was constantly next to us and asked if everything was okay. Other service so-so - but what do you expect - So for a market meal even 5* - We would come back in a heartbeat!

We stopped in this place for a quick lunch in the heart of the Ballarò market. The display of prepared dishes is very inviting. We took seafood salad (lots of octopus), delicate flavour, fresh and good red prawns, warbler a little dry. The sandwich with spleen and arancina. All very plentiful and reasonably priced. At a certain point the waiters started arguing and we could hear the shouting all the way down the hall for about a quarter of an hour.... It was better to discuss in the kitchen so as not to overhear the customers.

Dopo aver visitato il bellissimo mercato di Ballaro' non potevamo rinunciare ad un pranzo con tutte le prelibatezze che si facevano mangiare con gli occhi. Tra tutte le location abbiamo scelto questa che aveva ancora dei tavoli liberi. Siamo stati serviti velocemente nonostante il pienone, sia la frittura che il polpo erano veramente ottimi. Come avevo letto nelle recensioni il costo e' praticamente quello da ristorante rispetto ad altre offerte nel mercato. Soprattutto niente menu e prezzi esposti. Ma ne valeva proprio la pena! Unico neo come letto da altei utenti il pos non funziona mai al momento di pagare...e questo per chi gira con pochi contanti diventa un problema. Soprattutto se il prezzo del pranzo per due non e' quello che ti aspetti in base alla media di quello che si vede nei punti ristorativi vicini. Se non hai contanti diventa un vero problema, ti ritrovi a grattare il portafoglio per recuperare fino all ultimo spicciolo e non e' il massimo del servizio per il cliente e nel 2023 mi sembra assurdo. Piu' che un contrattempo mi sembra non lo vogliano proprio usare.

We had an amazing lunch today. The food was cooked to perfection. The staff were very busy running in all directions. If you requiired something the stsff were too busy even to stop and hear your request. Other than thar we would return when visiting Palermo again.

Wonderful experience in the heart of the Ballarò market, top quality fish and very attentive customer service! Absolutely recommended.
