29/08/2025: The owner's service is terrible. Very aggressive and defensive when faced with a polite request. I don't recommend it at all. I don't understand how he retains his customers. Another owner should open the same location because it's beautiful.

29/08/2025: The owner refused to give us an umbrella because we had small children and a stroller (which could be folded). He also said we couldn't open a small basin in the shade for our newborn. This is absolutely disgusting, insensitive, rude, and discriminatory behavior toward children. We have reported this to the authorities. Stay away from this place.

19/10/2025: The oil-soaked, inedible pittule were paid for like mixed fried food. My Margherita pizza was undercooked, really undercooked. I'm sure I won't sleep tonight. The guys serving were great, very kind and polite. I also liked the atmosphere.

16/10/2025: Lured by the excellent Instagram ad, we decided to spend a family evening. TO BE FORGOTTEN. We booked a table for four, and when we arrived, the table wasn't even ready. A young man who barely said good evening sat us down. As soon as we sat down, we were completely absorbed and left to our own devices, no one to ask if we wanted water, no one to tell us that the menu was a tiny QR code on the placemat. But that's okay, a curly-haired waitress arrives (after about 15 minutes with NOTHING on the table). Meanwhile, we sat down and the game had just started, and only the cutting board arrived as the first half was ending (about 45 minutes). She brought us the cutting board, saying, "I'll bring you bread now," but in reality, we were still waiting for it. After about 20 minutes, we asked for it and were lucky to get it. Grilled meat without salt because there wasn't any on the table, and asking for it was a real challenge. A stew ordered but never arrived, with the last minute call saying "we're out"—but can you come and tell me sooner without us waiting twenty minutes in vain? Calling a waiter was like applying to the employment office in Rome, with wait times exceeding three months. Waiters who came out with two dishes and went to the wrong tables, causing embarrassment and discomfort to the diners. Basically, they were spinning around with their plates in hand and laughing. At a certain point, I thought there must have been a nightmare kitchen set unbeknownst to us. But that's okay, being in the profession, I can tolerate certain things, but I can't tolerate the kitchen's lack of attention in serving RAW pork and chicken. Putting it on the hot plate is fine, but that doesn't mean you have to take it off the grill five minutes early. Kindly take it back, cooking it a LITTLE more, and it arrives burned and stringy. A moment from raw to burned. The baked potatoes were barely warm. In short, the price was fair, the cake service was decent, and the waiter was very kind when he cut it. It's a shame because the place is truly worth it, but it could certainly be better with more attentive waiters and better organization of the dining room and kitchen schedules. AD MAIORA, we hope for our Lecce and for the people who know how to do this job with integrity.

23/08/2025: Yesterday, my husband and I went for a snack at this restaurant. We sat outside in a charming little square located within the walls of Akaja Castle. We enjoyed a platter of various cheeses and cured meats, along with bruschetta. The food was very good, thanks to the quality of the ingredients. We also enjoyed the service, as Rossella was very professional and kind. We'll be back again this evening.

20/09/2025: If you think you're going to La Pergola for an elegant restaurant, you're in the wrong place, but the only thing you can be sure of is that the pizza 🍕 is truly delicious. Highly recommended

18/08/2025: Typical Lecce pizzeria Six of us went for dinner. We arrived when the place was full, the wait was just right, the staff was quick and attentive, moving their hands and heads, creating a dynamic and fast atmosphere. The waiter's attention to asking the pizza chef how the orders were before taking our appetizer order was a sign of attention and professionalism not found even in more upscale places. The drinks arrived promptly and were perfectly cold... but always before or alongside the food (not a given). I'm not even talking about the food (because it was as good as I expected it to be): pizza, fried food, pucce, pieces of horse meat, even jumbo ones (if I didn't appreciate them, there's no point in coming to Salento). All good, with authentic and fragrant flavors. Clean and, I'd say, with a friendly touch, namely a mascot that was among the tables, tolerated by everyone with respect and politeness. If you happen to stop by, it's definitely worth it. P.S. We went in August, but these locals come here year-round and are never disappointed. They also do takeout, and in our case, it didn't bother us too much. Maybe things change in the winter, but I must say that the staff is attentive and does their best to keep the wait to a minimum.

I understand that the day included a special event, but perhaps it would have been helpful to communicate this more clearly, so that we could have made an informed decision whether or not to participate. Regarding the service, unfortunately, our experience was different from what you described: we encountered a certain disorganization and a lack of attention to requests, which was a negative impact. The food was good, and I acknowledged that, but the overall quality of the experience unfortunately did not live up to expectations. In any case, I wish you and your staff the best of luck. 23/08/2025: We happened to be at this stretch of beach in not-so-great swimming weather, and we were hungry. The staff was very friendly and helpful – they immediately spoke to the children in a friendly manner and even offered a high chair. The food was excellent (fish, meat, pasta, salad). The prices were a bit high due to the fresh ingredients. Nevertheless, the restaurant is highly recommended!

20/10/2025: Restaurant/pizzeria serving first and second courses, and excellent Neapolitan pizza, which I've tried. I don't know about the other dishes. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. Prices are average. I recommend it.

07/10/2025: Best pizza in town - once upon a time! Yesterday's pizza was still half-raw and had canned mushrooms...nothing like it used to be, unfortunately! The specialty pizza is no longer available either. Sadly, this was my last visit there.

29/09/2025: We dropped in for takeaway pizzas but ended up enjoying the pizzas fresh out of the oven in the garden out front. Nice fresh ingredients on a thin crust perfectly cooked in the wood firef oven. Well priced.

25/08/2025: This is a seafood restaurant with an adjoining fishmonger's (different entrances for the two businesses). From appetizers to dessert, everything is delicious and expertly prepared. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. The lady at the cash register is very kind and always asks if customers are satisfied. We will return whenever possible. Congratulations!

25/07/2025: Excellent restaurant! Delicious food and very friendly staff! You can taste the freshness of the fish! The staff is very helpful with recommendations for things to do in the area and must-see beaches. Highly recommended.

05/09/2025: I highly recommend this property, I stayed with my family and we had a great time, room with a super sea view, very kind staff and very attentive to the customer's needs, the dinner was very well prepared and balanced (in our case we had a package including dinner) The location is also excellent for getting around Otranto, Gallipoli etc. my rating is 10👏🏻

05/10/2025: I'm sorry to say this, but compared to a few years ago, the quality of pizza has significantly declined. Lately, I've always found pizza with very dry, thin dough, and very little sauce and even less mozzarella. I hope this review helps us improve, because Verlaine pizza used to be a guarantee of excellence.

04/10/2025: Came across this “one-man restaurant” by coincidence and after some translation difficulties the owner cooked an easy but super delicious Spaghetti with tomatoes. The view was breathtaking and it really felt like Italy! Recommend if you love to try new things and are not so afraid of a not perfectly cleaned table this is your place!

19/08/2025: Spectacular view...for everything else, better not comment! The food was so-so. If you don't have reasonable expectations, for the rest, it's better to go elsewhere. We're still waiting for the receipt...they told us that since it's a private club, you don't need a receipt... oh well!!!
