21/08/2025: I've been to this inn and I must say it was a truly pleasant experience. The restaurant is elegant yet welcoming, an atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The dishes are delicious and plentiful, a cuisine that satisfies both the palate and the appetite. Special thanks go to Paola, whose professionalism, kindness, and attentive service ensured impeccable service. She's always available for discussion, attentive to every detail, and ready to make every guest feel welcome. All the other staff were also friendly and helpful, but Paola in particular deserves a special mention. Overall, a very positive experience: a place I'll return to and highly recommend!

22/06/2025: We booked a table for an aperitif for four, we had chosen this place based on the photos. Unfortunately, however, the latter did not turn out to be entirely true, as the food was quite abundant but very, very poor. Basically it was all old stuff, in fact we felt the consequences later. We had to ask to clean the table because it was left dirty. It was not the best also for the cost (70€ is honestly exaggerated for a coke, a San Pellegrino, a small bottle of water, a beer, a glass of wine and, above all, for the scarcity of everything else).

09/06/2025: Good and plentiful aperitif with many tasty proposals... Easy to reach with the possibility of finding parking without difficulty. Highly recommended!

12/07/2025: By far the best restaurant I've tried in Otranto! Super fresh fish, great prices, excellent service, and a smile. The owner even provided us with some coloring for our little girl and offered us limoncello at the end of the evening! A real treat!

07/09/2025: We sat at the table for an hour and still no pizza. We mentioned this to the waiter twice, and each time they responded with a vague "they're in the oven." After another twenty minutes, we were still there, with empty stomachs. Service like this is unacceptable: slow, disorganized, and zero customer service. A ruined evening.

07/09/2025: Waiting two hours for three pizzas is already awful, and to make matters worse, the waiters kept telling us "you're next" and then promptly served the tables that arrived after us, making everything even more annoying. The pizza was nothing special, definitely two hours wasted. The icing on the cake, hopefully due to an oversight or misunderstanding, was that they forgot the receipt, sending us off with a printed note with the price of the dinner on it. Luckily, after mentioning it twice, that arrived too. P.S. Perhaps if they spent less time responding to reviews, service could be speeded up and avoid mistakes in general.

17/08/2025: Excellent bar/gelato shop in the center of Veglie. Artisanal gelato of the highest quality! I also tried an espresso and I must say it's truly excellent (everyone uses pod or capsule machines these days) with the classic coffee bean grind. I'm happy with this discovery 😊 I recommend it as a must-visit for anyone passing through Veglie and the surrounding area.

10/08/2025: In our opinion, it was an ice cream like any other, neither good nor bad... we didn't even have time to leave the shop before it was half melted...

15/06/2025: A very good place for a short break.

27/08/2025: The appetizer prices were exorbitant for a paltry dish. The wait for dinner was endless. We arrived at 9:20 PM and our dishes were delivered at 11:45 PM. Disorganized by the waiters and the kitchen. The long wait is apparently customary, given that there's a chalkboard with the message "Don't rush, and that waiting increases cravings and hunger." After more than two hours, my only desire was to get up and leave. The exterior was definitely nice. I recommend a guided tour only, without dinner.

How wonderful to be able to eat in such a unique and characteristic place, with such masterfully prepared dishes, with truly excellent service, and be able to feel at home...gentlemen, this is what happens at Corte dei Simonari!!! Everything was beautiful, everyone was truly nice, from the first to the last. The owner is probably the sweetest of all; before we left, she even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. We can't wait to return to try other Salento dishes prepared (and in some cases revisited) by the talented chef and to be pampered by all the staff. P.S. I forgot to mention that the prices are MORE than fair.

Highly recommended for anyone who believes life is better with a bit of sugar and a lot of heart.

01/02/2025: This place is a guarantee! You won't be disappointed, from the sandwiches to the rotisserie, to the catering, to the delicatessen. After trying everything, I can say without hesitation that the quality and excellent flavor of every delicacy are truly top-notch. Transforming every raw ingredient into exquisite products is an art, and artists work here. The calzone with pieces of horse meat is especially noteworthy; there are no words to describe it; you have to try it. Speaking to Stefano, I'd like to mention, compliment, and thank him for his excellent work!
