05/10/2025: Google says: Open today. Until 11 p.m. We went there from the campsite in the pouring rain. No luck!! A good restaurant owner should make sure the information published online is correct. Annoying!

24/09/2025: A very nice surprise just a stone's throw from our campsite! We enjoyed a small sauté of mussels, spaghetti with clams, as well as a tasting offered by the chef for €16. Everything was really delicious. The wine is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the place is exemplary clean, very pleasant. The staff is really very friendly, kind and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant to all French people passing through the area: don't hesitate to come! - A very nice surprise just a stone's throw from our campsite! 06/10/2025: Love JDs and was worried when new owners took over. Food is still great! Best pizza in the area. The service the last two times I've been there has been disappointing. Barely see waitress. Refills had to get. Fun atmosphere!

30/09/2025: The staff is always friendly and helpful. Love the pizza and also the Deluxe Crispy Chicken sandwich was amazing. We had a birthday party for our Grandson in the party room, 19 people, service was Great and our food came very quickly😊👍

25/09/2025: TERRIFYING! We were regulars at the bar/ice cream shop, but after what happened, not only will we never return, I fear I won't even be able to eat ice cream for a long time to come. While I was enjoying a Black Cherry ice cream (which already had a different flavor than usual), what I thought was a candied cherry turned out to be a COCKROACH, complete with legs. The horror and disgust are indescribable. As if that weren't enough, when I understood my reaction, the owner not only didn't apologize, but dismissed me with a chilling: "These things can happen." The fact that an insect could wander into a restaurant is questionable enough, but finding one in a food served to customers is unacceptable. Never again, Coco Loco.

09/10/2025: Nice, quiet, and relaxing place, very professional staff, and truly delicious pizzas. In my humble opinion, I've rarely had pizzas like this. Highly recommended. The prices are definitely excellent.

15/09/2025: I finally discovered a pizzeria very close to my house, and they make delicious pizzas! The waiters are very kind, very professional, ready to explain and answer any questions I have! I'll definitely be back, and they make unique French fries! Delicious! They have very interesting menus, a truly beautiful menu, perfectly suited to the location. For a moment, I thought I was holding a book by some of their children; I thought it was very artistic! The pizzeria, San Lorenzo, has a reason to be called that! There's a church next door, which belongs to the pizzeria. I'm posting some photos of the little church, with its masterpiece colors and unique details. Best wishes to everyone for the job ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️! Inside the church, there's the Holy Family, truly beautiful and original! And Saints Cosmas and Damian... on the Holy Family, there's a sort of ♥️ on their heads instead of halos... I didn't take many photos, but it will be reason to return to the pizzeria, which has so many details worth photographing! I invite you to surprise yourself and spend an evening of high class, kindness, and so much culture!

22/08/2025: As far as I'm concerned, it's an experience I'll never forget...terrible, from the food to the welcome...I would have preferred the owners to say, "I can't accommodate you." It would have been a gift to us. I strongly advise you to reconsider your planning.

26/08/2025: A trip to Lecce to see the city? To celebrate Sant'Oronzo? No. The wife is looking for a shop, in August, with the heat, the half-hour, and the children asking for the bathroom. I slip into an unknown and anonymous café that had struck me with its 1980s-style window. I meet Mr. Bruno, an octogenarian pastry chef, who tells me about his life and his desserts. A wonderful experience.

29/09/2025: I celebrated my wedding in this stunning and wonderful resort... everything was perfect, everything was super, I have no words to describe it all, I felt like a princess... But my special thanks goes to Sara, a helpful, kind, super welcoming girl with polite manners who tries in every way to help you to make the wedding even more special... All my guests still talk about this resort and the good food and the beautiful location... Thank you, thank you everyone and thanks also to the magnificent owner Albino... on behalf of the newlyweds Raffaele and Irene ❤️❤️❤️

21/09/2025: Absolutely terrible service! My daughter celebrated her wedding there in August. The location and venue are gorgeous. However, since another wedding was scheduled to take place after ours, the entire meal was served in a rush, and the choice of fish or meat was practically ignored. Even after repeated requests, the alternative pre-ordered meat dish still didn't arrive. The six-piece band was instructed by the restaurant to play their last song and call it a night at 5:30 p.m., even though the band had been booked and paid for by my daughter. The other venue (cake and dessert), which wasn't a problem for us—in the winter garden instead of the roof terrace because of the weather (next to the restaurant hall, where the other party was supposed to be), unfortunately, everything went much too quickly, and practically everything was cleared away while the guests were still sitting. If they then asked for a drink or coffee, they were told they were out of stock or that it wasn't available, as otherwise there would be a commotion with the other couple. I am truly disappointed with this service, especially since this should have been the couple's most special day, and it had been planned with great care down to the last detail for over a year, not to mention the financial aspect. I think a restaurant that hosts two weddings on the same day should handle it more professionally, as well as have the capacity of the venue, even in bad weather, and not practically throw them out with such gestures. It would have only been fair and honest if the restaurant had pointed out that as soon as the other couple arrived, they should leave so that the party wouldn't mix (this was always denied after repeated inquiries). Unfortunately, I can't give my daughter any more advice in this regard, but my two sons certainly won't be celebrating their wedding there, nor will many of the young guests who have also expressed their concerns. The restaurant gets a bad impression from the guests who have experienced this firsthand and complained, which is a shame because the place and the food are great.

29/08/2025: I came with a friend this evening. We tried an arancini with sausage and mushrooms, but I can assure you that their other flavors are spectacular too. I've ordered from them several times. I highly recommend them.

23/08/2025: Arancini of various types, all expertly made, served hot in a beautiful and welcoming setting. The owner is very kind and helpful. A special mention goes to their cannoli, filled to order with ricotta cheese flown directly from Palermo—simply fantastic. Recommended.

21/08/2025: I stumbled upon Bar New Tandem in Cavallino almost by chance while looking for some sweets for my mother-in-law, who was taking them with her to Naples. It was around 9:00-9:30 in the morning, so a fairly normal time for breakfast, but upon entering, I immediately noticed that the display case, despite being very large, was almost empty: just a few pasticciottos and a few other sweets. I must admit that the initial impression wasn't the best, especially considering the place is quite well-known and well-reviewed online. Luckily, we managed to grab the last pasticciottos available, which we tried right away and took away. And I must say, the product itself is truly delicious: the crumbly pastry, the perfectly sweet cream, and a flavor that reveals the quality of the ingredients and the artisanal craftsmanship. This is precisely why it's even more disappointing not to have found a larger display case, because it's natural to think how unfortunate it would be to limit yourself to trying just a couple of desserts when the entire lineup is probably truly worth it. The prices are fair, and the staff was friendly and helpful, which definitely adds to the overall experience. All in all, I'd say the place is worth a visit, but perhaps it's best to go at a slightly later time than I did, when the sweets are fully stocked. If you happen to be passing through Cavallino, it's definitely worth stopping by and sampling their products, starting with the pasticciotto, which remains a guaranteed success.

21/07/2025: As a non-fish lover, I can assure you that coming here, in Puglia, is an EXPERIENCE NOT TO BE MISSED. A wide selection of products (all fresh, of course), you choose the cooking method, there's also sushi, and above all, it's COMPLETELY GLUTEN-FREE, meaning it's heaven for those with celiac disease.

16/10/2025: I can recommend it. We ordered takeout and the pizzas on site. We received a warm welcome. While the pizza was being prepared, we were given small snacks, which were very good. The ingredients were freshly prepared, and the pizzas were fresh and delicious. I'll be back next time I'm in Castro. Thank you.

15/09/2025: Terrible pizza, exorbitant prices for the quality of the ingredients. Furthermore, calling it pizza is an insult to the tradition of this food; you'll receive a small pizza with minimal ingredients. All this will leave you feeling thirsty and heavy all night.

30/08/2025: On Monday evening, strolling through the streets of a lively city, we stopped for dinner at this splendid restaurant. We were immediately greeted with a smile and shown to our table. The menu was varied and the wine list excellent. The maître d', Antonio, was professional and friendly, recommending dishes that turned out to be excellent. The quality/price ratio was excellent, and we'll be back soon.

29/08/2025: We went there following our guidebook recommendation and were utterly disappointed. Food is decent however service is appalling: waiters without a smile, very slow and unwelcoming. We felt that we were disturbing them. Furthermore the value for money is really poor and it is a real rip-off (eg. 7 prawn tempuras for €35 euros); we ate in several fish places in Puglia with much better quality fish and dishes in other places in Lecce, Monopoli, Polignano, Gallipoli at more than 50% of this restaurant prices. It positions itself as an up and coming and trendy place but completely falls short of it. Go somewhere else! you’ll have a much better experience !!! (PS: we have notified the guidebook to remove such recommendation)
