We were welcomed warmly and with a smile.
We enjoyed excellent food, served with kindness and without long waits.
The atmosphere is very relaxed, with a perfect blend of modern and classic/antique. The music was excellent, carefully and tastefully chosen.
We will recommend it to our guests in the upcoming summer season.

Top ingredients, original combinations, and super generous slices. A pizza like this is unforgettable: every bite is a flavor explosion. Superb quality, unlike any other. Worth a round of applause... and we'll be back right away! 🍕❤️

06/09/2025: A grill restaurant with an open butcher's counter. Top-quality ingredients; the Black Angus steak and meatballs in tomato sauce were succulent. They also offer a pizzeria and takeout service with a wide-ranging menu. Attentive and professional staff. Highly recommended.
05/09/2025: Clean and welcoming place... As soon as we entered, a young man welcomed us and, seeing my poodle arrive, he already went out of his way to give my dog water without me saying anything. This place already deserves 5 stars... We had some delicious cuts of meat, you can also find the butcher shop on display inside. I had a very good pizza, the pistachio and melon liqueurs on the house were excellent... Mattia, the young man who welcomed us, was full of attention to the entire service from start to finish... To conclude, he gave balloons to my children, a small gesture but for my children it was super. Thanks again Mattia, number one...

04/06/2026: Excellent trattoria, authentic and full of charm. The service is pleasant, unpretentious, and never intrusive. My boyfriend and I had lunch there one day and had a wonderful time. It's naturally cool inside during the summer, which is especially welcome.
I ordered the dish of the day: homemade gnocchi with tuna, tomatoes, and arugula. Absolutely delicious! They were the best gnocchi I've ever had; they literally melted in my mouth. My boyfriend chose orecchiette, and he was equally delighted.
Simple, authentic, and perfectly executed cuisine. If we ever return to Lecce, we will definitely go back. We highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
01/06/2026: An authentic dinner for two in the heart of Lecce. We dined at this trattoria as a couple and had a truly positive experience. The restaurant boasts beautiful, distinctive stone vaulted architecture that immediately creates a warm, rustic, and welcoming atmosphere, typical of old Salento taverns.

22/04/2026: A very good restaurant frequented by locals. Fresh ingredients, curry risotto, gnocchi alla vongole, grilled swordfish, tiramisu. Impeccable service and a swim at the beach to aid digestion.
22/02/2026: The Universo restaurant is truly a universe of flavors and Salento hospitality. I stopped for Sunday lunch and everything was delicious: fresh and tasty dishes, good house wine, and the orange and almond cake that finished it all was excellent.
The staff were truly kind and helpful, never intrusive.

The staff is professional and attentive, without ever being intrusive.
Everything was delicious, and the raw seafood was truly amazing, with purple shrimp and generously sized scampi.
The price was fair for the quality of the service and the dishes.

Welcoming atmosphere. A classic local trattoria, with local dairy products and wines. Professional and polite service.
Very good appetizers, fantastic first courses.
Spaghetti with seafood, penne all'arrabbiata, both delicious.
Sliced meat and side dishes cooked with love and dedication.
Recommended for families and couples.
It might seem like a "spartan" place, but it's not.
It's family-run. The wait staff is polite and professional.

27/09/2025: A small restaurant just off the main nightlife hub, in the Convitto Palmieri area. The fried calzones are very large and delicious. The wait is reasonable, considering they're fried fresh. In addition to the classic calzone, you can also choose from a variety of fillings and dough. There are tables outside, without service, for a bite to eat and a drink. Prices are higher, but justified by the size, than the traditional calzone found everywhere else.
