So why 5 stars?
After the flight and the drive to Bari, here's a place I really enjoyed having breakfast.
First of all, the place is calm, peaceful, and beautiful. You're comfortably seated in a beautifully landscaped courtyard with lemon and orange trees...
The welcome is very friendly, full of smiles, and you can really feel their pleasure in hosting guests.
The breakfast is good, with quality products and a generous portion. And it's good value for money.
A big BRAVO and THANK YOU for contributing to the success of our stay in Lecce.
17/11/2025: Came in for lunch in November. Delicious sandwiches. Excellent bread. A great experience. Staff was very helpful. English was spoken by the staff but try your Italian as you will learn the local phrases.

11/04/2026: Good food, good service, good prices. It's a shame the orecchiette with meatballs had two meatballs in the sauce. When I go to Nonna's, I expect at least six.
11/04/2026: Try to book in advance to get a table in the main dining room on the ground floor, which is more charming than the upstairs room.
The food was good, especially the mixed starters, including delicious melt-in-your-mouth eggplant. However, our pasta wasn't al dente, and there were few desserts on the menu. Overall, a good evening.

01/05/2026: Amazing restaurant in Lecce, with the most amazing seafood! The salmon carpaccio is the tastiest thing I’ve ever tried in my life. Also the Tiramisu with hot coffee is probably the best in Italy. Special kudos to our waiter, Antonio, for amazing service and for being so incredibly kind!

12/12/2025: Beautiful and colorful little place with retro images of rock bands and singers. The appetizers are good and plentiful, with fair prices for the quality and quantity. The waitress is kind and helpful. My only flaw, I'd say, was the mushroom grill, which was a real treat.
Anyway, approved.

The burgers are the bomb!! Delicious and juicy meat, soft bun, and super fresh ingredients. The presentation is also top-notch, there's an endless choice of combinations, and the prices are super fair.
The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for an evening with friends or enjoying some great live music.
I'll definitely be back... one of the best burgers I've ever eaten! 😍🔥

14/04/2026: I'd never been to this restaurant before, and I have to say...it's truly DIVINE.
As soon as we entered, we were greeted with unparalleled kindness and elegance. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail. The service was impeccable. The waiter was extremely kind and attentive. The owner was helpful and attentive to everything. We had appetizers, first courses, and second courses, and each one was better than the last. We'll definitely be back. Thank you ☺️

27/09/2025: A small restaurant just off the main nightlife hub, in the Convitto Palmieri area. The fried calzones are very large and delicious. The wait is reasonable, considering they're fried fresh. In addition to the classic calzone, you can also choose from a variety of fillings and dough. There are tables outside, without service, for a bite to eat and a drink. Prices are higher, but justified by the size, than the traditional calzone found everywhere else.

I recommend the fried calzone, in my opinion one of the best in Lecce.
Every time I happen to pass near Viale Marche, Mr. Giampiero's 'La Romana' is a must-try!

02/05/2026: I went to this place for lunch yesterday. I'll start by saying it wasn't the best day because it was very windy, but since I hadn't booked, there wasn't a table inside (which I think is very nice), so I sat outside.
First, we asked for the menu so we could order, but despite asking twice, no one ever brought it to me. We ordered two spritzes and a portion of fries because we saw them being brought to the next table, otherwise we would never have known what was on offer since we hadn't received a menu. The fries weren't good at all; they had no flavor, as they were salt-free.
The service and staff were inattentive and unfriendly.

09/10/2025: Dinner in this lovely setting. Service was quick, but the staff were unfriendly, almost annoyed by our presence. They served a variety of Salento dishes, but nothing special. The octopus meatballs were highly recommended.

19/11/2025: We were there three weeks ago. We probably had the wrong evening, because the lobster starters were overcooked. The restaurant was very, very expensive, because with two lobster starters, a seafood starter, an appetizer, and a glass of wine, we spent 170.00 euros. You decide.
03/11/2025: The restaurant has long been renowned, but unfortunately (or fortunately) it's not in the city of Lecce, but it's still a 15-minute drive away.
It's always been one of the best seafood restaurants.
