23/11/2025: NEVER AGAIN We had dinner with eight people at Osteria degli Spiriti, and the experience was completely unacceptable, absolutely forgettable, especially due to the terrible handling of the truffle. The final bill would have been justified if only they had shown us what truffle they were serving, how much they had grated on our plates, and at least informed us where it came from, considering the disproportionate price of each course. We found the truffle directly on the tagliolini, without seeing the piece or the weight: three dishes were overpriced, and one even more, with differences that could only make sense if you showed what you were selling! The same goes for the fried eggs with truffle: an insane price per dish, again without showing anything. A total lack of transparency. Plus, the service was incredibly long: seated at 9:00 PM, up at 12:30 AM. In return, we were treated to two cantucci each and a small piece of panettone, kindly offered by the house. Such a generous gesture that it (almost) made us forget the bill.

22/11/2025: We had a first course with ragù and meatballs (good), a classic dish with broad bean and chicory puree (excellent), and a fish main course, a very mediocre cod. This cod, in addition to being extremely salty, was immersed in a liter of cream (also extremely salty), which was not requested and not indicated on the menu, a serious matter precisely because the presence of so much lactose in a fish dish is not indicated. Instead of the rosemary potatoes as advertised, they served us a sort of puffed rice spread over this liter of cream, which they claimed was actually potatoes, but puffed. The price of the dishes is insane, unjustifiably high, and the portions are rather small.

01/10/2025: Perfection doesn't exist, it's true, but here the quality is top-notch! We tried the pasticciotto and pasticciottottino for breakfast, both with cream (exquisite). They also have a good selection of savory treats, with stuffed bites and excellent rustichini. What can I say? It's worth a visit again, even if we're just passing through. Social media helps you discover these places, which then need to be verified in person (sometimes, in fact, they're a scam). The title of best pastry chef in Salento is well-deserved. Kudos to the lady at the cash register, who combines kindness and friendliness. Highly recommended.

26/09/2025: Too bad about the coffee, which was a little too strong... the pasticciotto??? 6... the cream was good enough, but it was crumbly and slightly off-tan. Not exactly accurate. You can't fool a Salento native... overall, I think it got a little lost... and it's a shame... 2.50 seems a bit too much to me.

05/10/2025: Magnificent farmhouse just outside Giurdignano, fantastic location. Every time we return to Salento, we can't help but stay at Megalite. The restaurant offers all the local delicacies, the staff is superb, the service impeccable, and the prices are reasonable. Thanks guys! Highly recommended!!!

09/11/2025: Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The sushi wasn't good. For those who say the fish is super fresh, it means they've never tasted good fish. It's a shame, too, because the service was excellent, and so was the location. But the quality is comparable to the many €16 all-you-can-eat restaurants.

05/10/2025: Stop in Sternatia for the Cammino del Salento and dine here at La Porta Antica. We ordered the fritto misto, tagliolini with radicchio, shrimp, and orange, linguine with lemon pesto and shrimp, and for dessert, pistachio spumone and chocolate soufflé. Everything was delicious, and the first courses were generous and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it; the food is truly delicious. Congratulations, well done! 25/09/2025: This restaurant also has outdoor seating. Typical Salento dishes, excellent quality, a little above average but the quality is worth it. Wide selection. Recommended. If we return to the area, we'll definitely return to this place; it's worth a detour.

27/08/2025: I'm always very satisfied, thank you. In addition to a quick bite to eat at the counter, you can also sit at the tables inside for a more leisurely meal. I really enjoy coming here because of the great atmosphere and friendly service. It's also very important to me to find delicious pre-made cakes, perfect for any occasion. The pastry chef then customizes the cake with my favorite text, and that's it. I'm truly happy and recommend it to everyone.
