A very nice restaurant near the center of Tricase, offering traditional Salento cuisine, traditional dishes made with fresh ingredients daily. Top-notch service, and the staff are well-organized and attentive to their guests' needs!

What can we say about this place, discovered by chance three years ago while strolling through the center of Tricase? Let's start with what immediately struck us...
The setting: the piazza is splendid, with its olive trees and lights in the summer; in the winter, the interior offers an atmosphere of times gone by, yet with a touch of original modernity.
The service: impeccable. Finding knowledgeable staff, capable of presenting the dishes and advising you based on your tastes, is the best. The pairings are always spot on.
The food: spectacular. Elaborate dishes that manage to preserve the flavors of the main ingredients: a true delight for the palate.
It's become a tradition: every time we come down from Turin, we can't miss a dinner (sometimes even two!) at Locanda del Levante. It's a guarantee.

Good cozy place & one friendly lady waitress but the food was very bland for the price you pay. I ordered a blue fish from the catch of the day (£40). They cooked it with tomatoes. It came out as a whole — looked beautiful. But it was flavorless, I had to put some salt myself. They did help me deboned the fish.
My son ordered langoustine crudo— it came in a plate with the tail shelled, legs still attached to the head in shell without any tools nor wet napkin till I asked. His tagliolini with spider crab came in with all the shells. This time it came with tools and wet napkins. The crab and its legs were coated with pasta sauce. Image to extract the meat from the crab 🦀 coated with sauce. On top of that they charge us the cover for the bread and olive oil that came when we started our entrees. So we didn’t touch that. It was not a lot of money (£4). But when asked, they said- all the Italian restaurants charge that.

Really tough one to review. Its a really beautiful place, and the staff was nice. But value for money it really didnt check out. Catch of the day was horrendously expensive but came with no garnish at all and the sides were really boring (chicoree and fried potatoes). Also, the fish pasta was not noteworthy at all. They were really understaffed that day and we had to call them several times to give orders. Something you just cant allow in a place of this price range. A shame, id like to give it abother try, but 3* it is from me.

This restaurant is a delight for the palate! In addition to the fantastic hospitality of the staff and the beautiful location, the food is high-quality and truly delicious. The tuna sashimi appetizer in particular was absolutely worth trying. We then had the pasta alla gran seola and the octopus, both delicious. The value for money is truly fair.

A welcoming atmosphere with a touch of history and tradition. Today we celebrated our nephew's confirmation and had a wonderful time. There were no long waits between courses, no background noise, just lovely soft music, and the food was fresh and good quality. The staff was very friendly and available to answer any questions. What can I say? Stop by, you definitely won't be disappointed.
