26/07/2026: We went for dinner in July 2026. We ate excellent meat and cheeses, all of which were produced on site. The dishes were generous and reasonably priced.

19/07/2026: The food was excellent with good flavors. The shank was perfect and very large with plenty of sauce. As for the fried seafood, we had requested only shrimp and calamari, but they brought us a very ordinary fried fish. The staff was friendly and even poured us drinks, and they even offered us limoncello (and there were other options). Parking was very easy to find because it's located underneath the restaurant. The location is clean both inside and out, and there are restrooms available. PS: I also liked the fact that the allergens are listed under the dishes on the menu.

18/07/2026: THE BACKGROUND: - Came at 19:30 on a Saturday. It wasn't full, but it had a nice lively crowd. 30 minutes later it was packed! - The outdoor patio seating makes for a great dining experience. - My favorite meal of the trip! THE GOOD: - Service is efficient. The owner is also very friendly and even stopped by our table to chat. - We were treated to frozen limoncello shots on the house, which were incredibly refreshing and delicious. - Very relaxing atmosphere. THE BAD: - Relatively expensive, but that is expected for the area and honestly worth it. - The food took a little longer to come out, but it was well worth the wait. THE ORDER: 1. Spaghettoni alle Vongole Veraci / Spaghettoni Pasta with Clams (€23) ★★★★☆ - Light and delicately flavored. The real star is the pasta itself—perfectly al dente and enjoyable even on its own. 2. Risotto Alla Pescatora / Fisherman's Risotto with Monkfish (€25) ★★★★★ - The best risotto I've ever had. Packed with flavor, and the variety of seafood makes every bite exciting and satisfying. TL;DR: - One of my favorite meals of the trip. The welcoming owner, relaxing patio, complimentary frozen limoncello, and incredible seafood dishes made this an easy recommendation. The food takes a little patience, but the Fisherman's Risotto alone is absolutely worth the wait.

07/06/2026: For me, the best restaurant in the Vinschgau Valley, if not in all of South Tyrol. What Kevin Trafoier conjures up on the plates at this family-run establishment is unparalleled. The focus is on using primarily regional ingredients; you can taste what you're eating and manage the entire menu without feeling overstuffed. Add to that the charming service from father Jörg and the fantastic wine recommendations with insider tips from sommelier and mother Sonya. Not to mention the sensational desserts and chocolates from daughter Nathalie. The bistro at lunchtime is also highly recommended. There are three lovely rooms available for overnight stays. The restaurant, with its own parking lot, is also easily accessible by the Vinschgau Railway.

24/07/2026: During our six-day stay in Garda, we visited Caffè Amaro three time. And that says it all. Away from the tourist crowds but still in a great location, this restaurant serves authentic Italian food. The homemade pasta is outstanding and prepared with great care. We especially recommend the Ragù alla Bolognese, and the daily specials are always worth trying. The staff are friendly and attentive. Reservations are recommended, but they kindly found us a table even without one because we arrived early. Excellent value for money, and we even received a complimentary limoncello at the end. A true hidden gem and one of the best places for authentic pasta in Garda!!

21/07/2026: I visited this restaurant at the end of March with my family. I'm a lover of typical local restaurants and trattorias with traditional cuisine. This one perfectly matches my tastes: a family atmosphere, extremely kind and helpful staff, and excellent traditional cuisine. We had a wonderful time, even with two small children. We'll definitely be back.

26/07/2026: I would have given five stars, but the extra one euro for a pizza box for the pizza I couldn't finish is outrageous, especially after we already paid a five euro cover charge and two additional charges of €3 each for a gluten-free pizza and mussels, which are gluten-free anyway. The service and food were very good.

14/07/2026: We were served by a really friendly young waiter. It's a shame we didn't get his name to mention him in this review, given how rudely the rest of the staff treated him throughout. He was the highlight of our meal compared to the rest of the rather cold and overly salesy staff. It was a shame we were seated at the far end of the terrace, facing the street, right next to the manager who spends his time accosting passersby, which is frankly tiresome. The gnocchi and lasagna were really good. There were no prices listed on the dessert menu, so we went elsewhere due to this lack of transparency.

16/06/2026: We visited Osteria Senza Fretta for the first time last night, and what a wonderful experience it was. The restaurant truly lives up to its name. For the first time in ages, my wife and I didn't feel rushed while dining. The service was impeccable and flawless from start to finish, with excellent attention to detail in every dish that was served. It felt almost dreamlike, enjoying beautifully prepared fresh food while listening to the gentle sound of the fountain and classical music in the background. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and elegant. What impressed us even more was seeing the head chef personally come out to serve some of the dishes. Such humility is rare to find. The lady head chef has created some truly outstanding dishes, full of creativity and flavour. Our waiter was excellent as well, providing attentive service throughout the evening. His knowledge of the English language was greatly appreciated and made the experience even more enjoyable. 10/06/2026: Osteria Senza Fretta is one of those places where you immediately feel at home as soon as you walk in. We were guests for dinner. The location is elegant and understated. But what is most striking is the courtesy, the welcome, and the quality of the cuisine. Passion and professionalism shine through in the management and customer service. All this, with excellent value for money. Keep up the good work.

21/05/2026: Excellent staff, very kind, excellent service. Yesterday we ate a focaccia, even if it wasn't cooked in a wood oven, it was excellent, ham, gorgonzola and cherry tomatoes. I recommend it.

08/08/2026: Orestino has become a tradition for us: every year, before Christmas, we come here for our group dinner. But I returned a few days ago, and once again, it proved to be a sure thing. We've been here several times over the years, and the food is always divine. Even when we're a large group, the service manages the table well, and the wait is never excessive. I obviously recommend booking, especially during busy periods. The cuisine is typical, rich, and delicious, as you'd expect from a place like this. The tartare, prepared tableside and customizable to your taste, is now a must-try for us. Last time, I also had ravioli with truffle and butter, which were simply devastating. And then there's the boiled meat trolley: so beautiful and inviting that I stood there staring at it and completely forgot to take a photo. 😂 The location completes everything: Orestino is located directly on Lecco's lakefront, in a truly beautiful and evocative setting that greatly contributes to the restaurant's atmosphere. Good service, a great atmosphere, traditional cuisine prepared as it should be, and a location that certainly has its merits. For me, it remains one of Lecco's most iconic traditional restaurants and a place I always love to return to. Highly recommended!!

05/08/2026: A very interesting place with a slightly older décor, but it has its own unique atmosphere. The artichokes were delicious as an appetizer and the main courses were good. The semi-friedo was delicious, but unfortunately, we don't recommend the blueberries with ice cream. The fruit was sour, but the staff was happy to handle my complaint without any problem. It was quite busy at lunchtime, and the dishes on the other tables looked delicious. I definitely recommend this place 👍

02/05/2026: Book as soon as possible if you want to enjoy a carbonara that, in my opinion, is excellent in quality and generous in quantity. For a group like us, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were extremely friendly and service was very fast, despite it being a holiday and a full restaurant. Let's say it was perhaps a little too crowded for the space available, but it was worth it.

19/07/2026: Found due to the good reviews, my partner and I dined here last night. We were greeted very warmly by the very kind waitress. We had a truly delicious and tender Cannonau-braised cheek, and a very good Margherita pizza.

17/07/2026: We stumbled upon this place almost by accident, and it was a pleasant surprise. We had a wonderful time and ate very, very well. My husband still thanks us for the pork cheek 🫠🫠🫠, top potatoes!! I really wanted to try the tiramisu, which looked delicious, but unfortunately, I didn't have any room left. I hope to go back to try it. Ah... the pizza!!!! Speaking as Neapolitans do, it's really good!!!! Congratulations

15/03/2026: What a fantastic restaurant. Excellent home-cooked local recipes, with a friendly staff that made us feel like we were home. We loved everything, but definitely have the agnolotti. We tried several others during our stay in Turin, and Taverna’s was head and shoulders above all the rest.

29/04/2026: We returned to I Piani this evening, April 29th, for the second time because the quality of the food truly deserves it: excellent seafood, carefully prepared dishes, an elegant atmosphere, and prices consistent with the level of service. For this very reason, I was ready to leave a fully positive review. Unfortunately, at the end of the evening, everything was ruined by the attitude of a young woman serving tables outside, with long hair. Instead of speaking politely, she loudly commented, "Oh, but these are in the middle," referring to my family (husband and son) who were simply leaving. Shortly afterward, she also turned around and laughed with a colleague as we walked away. Such behavior is unworthy of a place that strives for luxury and excellence. In a restaurant of this caliber, one expects professionalism, discretion, and courtesy, not superficiality and disrespect. A simple "permission" can make a difference. It's a shame, because incidents like this end up detracting from the great work done by those who served us so well during our dinner inside. The advice is simple: invest in staff training, because service doesn't end at the table but continues until the customer leaves. A dinner of this caliber deserves to be remembered for its taste, not for the rudeness of a staff member. Daniele Family
