13/07/2026: Fantastic shop with a great selection and very friendly staff. I bought a bottle of wine with “Maratea” on the label as a souvenir. I definitely don’t recommend traveling with it in a car though, mine exploded (it was not hot in the car, and was not jeeps in the sunlight) .. ☹️ ! Not exactly the souvenir experience I had in mind, but at least it made for a memorable story. Highly recommend the shop!

06/08/2026: I tried to cancel this reservation and It is impossible. They asked for my credit card and mentioned that they would charge me $70.00 for a no show. The email confirmation, the phone number of the restaurant and the Platform they use for the reservation will not let me cancel. So be aware.

28/07/2026: "La Nicchia nel Sasso" was a magical experience. The view of a glimpse of the Sassi, the soft lounge music in the background, and Chef Vito explaining the dishes and their use of high-quality ingredients (for example, olive oil) were magical. First course: porcini mushrooms and truffle. Second course: perfectly stewed meat. Side dish (vegetables) and dessert (pistachio and chocolate tart). I highly recommend it. 20/07/2026: Quite clearly the best bar in town. 100% recommended. Incredible cocktails, lovely service, great atmosphere. You go there for the quality, more than the view, but it's a bar to end your evening at. I'll gladly go back!

07/06/2026: I wanted to rest after a long, tiring day. I chose Basilicata as the location. After searching online, I booked this property. From the photos, it looked like a perfect place for me and my family. A true discovery of colors, flavors, and kindness. There were also many animals, all cared for with care and love. Clean air, open spaces for children's play, and tables in the large garden. Mrs. Piera and her family were at our disposal, meeting all our needs. The breakfast was plentiful, and all the desserts were homemade. Dinner was also plentiful and delicious, and the white wine was excellent. Well done, 5 stars because I can't give them any more.

11/07/2026: Superb setting, excellent service, and delicious food. We came with three children, including a baby, and everything went very well, thanks in particular to the impeccable service. We highly recommend this restaurant.

11/07/2026: Ristorante de Morgan is the place to be in Matera. The food is exquisite, the service excellent, really lovely proffesional people. And faith was that they were closed after our three day in a row visits. It was meant to be! Grazie mille!!!

05/08/2026: San Biagio restaurant did not disappoint. We had a great table with a beautiful view of Sassi. The food was delicious. Our server was very welcoming and made some great recommendations. Definitely an amazing spot in Matera.

21/05/2026: We had lunch in this nice restaurant. Ordered carbonara and tiramisu, both are superb and highly recommended!!!! Price is reasonable. The tiramisu is one of the best I’ve had in this Italy trip!!!

04/05/2026: My husband, our two children, and I dined at this restaurant last night after a busy day spent walking among the Sassi of Matera. We were greeted by kind and attentive staff, with prompt service. The pizza was excellent, the fries were special, and the "sausage of the beggar" was delicious. My husband and I ordered it first, followed by a portion of Van Gogh bruschetta—exceptional! The owner, Bartolomeo, was exceptionally kind, making us feel at home and pampered. Before leaving, I confided in him about my passion for Vincent Van Gogh. He accompanied me into the dining room, which, surprisingly, was decorated with wonderful reproductions of Van Gogh's paintings. He proudly told me about them and showed me the wines, which bear artistic labels. What more can I say?! Between the deliciousness of the dishes, the beauty of the setting, and the owner's extraordinary kindness, it was an experience that left us with a wonderful feeling of well-being! If we ever return to Matera, we'll definitely eat here, with the pleasure of greeting Bartolomeo and savoring more of his delicacies!!!! Ps: fair prices and generous portions.

15/06/2026: A pleasant surprise… the restaurant is hidden away. Very good. The service is perfect. The waitress and waiter make an effort to speak French.

13/06/2026: Disastrous meal. Lasagna served cold. Lamb: 200g fat, 20g meat. Lamb returned, but still paid full price.
