15/07/2026: The service is a bit temperamental. But the food is consistently delicious. The terrace offers a small view of the lake. We always enjoy coming back. Update September 24: There are new owners. The service is incredibly nice and friendly. The food has changed a lot. There's now a set menu and more standard dishes. Solid! Update September 26: The dishes are too simple; they no longer impress us.

08/07/2026: The 3-course menu is highly recommended; it offers excellent value for money. A welcoming and relaxed location where the host/hostess really goes out of their way for you. The handwritten menu changes regularly. Additionally, the steak is amazing! We have been three times. Fresh water was brought for the dog immediately, and after the meal, a piece of meat was brought for her.

07/04/2026: Silvia's courtesy and skill in the kitchen, Andrea's promptness and kindness in the dining room, and the quiet, understated, West Coast-esque atmosphere pleasantly surprised us, so much so that we've made this bistro our go-to in Varese. With different menus for breakfast, brunch, or a business lunch, it's sure to satisfy the gastronomic curiosity of the many regulars and occasional diners at this charming establishment next to the courthouse.

03/04/2026: Brunch at Less was nothing short of a wonderful experience: not only were the location and the food extraordinary, but the welcome was something rarely found in Varese. We can't wait to return!

27/11/2025: We happened upon it by chance and were happy with the dishes (quality and quantity) and the welcome in this restaurant with its traditional flavour and atmosphere.

19/10/2025: I stumbled upon this trattoria somewhat by chance, and I have no regrets. I ate truly well and was welcomed by truly delightful people who are passionate about their craft. They explained the composition of their dishes (Romagnolo menu) and how to pair them, and, based on my tastes, they gave me excellent advice. I ordered a slice of beef served on a hot slab of Cervia salt. At first, I was surprised because it was raw, but when the owner set the plate down and said, "I'll let you work tonight," it brought a smile to my face, and I realized this was a special place. It's a truly wonderful and appreciated idea, allowing customers to cook their meat this way to their liking. The quality of the beef was, of course, excellent. I also had a delicious dessert: fior di latte ice cream with honey-caramelized chestnuts. I'll be back.

26/05/2026: I've been coming for years because I know Terry, who's always very nice, and Concetta even before that, but for a while now there's been a new girl who's very unpleasant, she throws your money on the counter, doesn't even say hello in response, not only should the greeting come from her, she also allows herself the luxury of generalizing men yes women no, she's so cute so since she's been here if before I got 5 out of 5 now I come by maybe once in a while so she doesn't have to say hello and neither do I.

10/04/2026: We stopped by after a strenuous hike and immediately found a spot in the lovely garden. The espresso was delicious, and the pastries were good too. The whole family especially enjoyed the chocolate ice cream. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere.

11/07/2026: Both the ramen and the shrimp curry with coconut milk are delicious, as are the shrimp ravioli and the chicken with goji berries. The chicken almost melts in your mouth, and the aftertaste is truly delicate and fragrant. The fried food has improved a lot since I was last there. The chicken curry with coconut milk is also very good. I must say the desserts are also good. To be honest, I still haven't found a dish on the menu that wasn't good! There are parking spaces nearby, so finding a parking spot isn't difficult. The place hasn't changed, inside or out: as far as I can remember, it's been like this for about twenty years. It's never crowded, and they even have outdoor seating; I must say the outside is very pretty. Takeout is good. Excellent value for money. Closed on Mondays.

27/06/2026: Delicious food, very friendly staff, and a refined atmosphere that's still typical of Chinese restaurants, unlike anything you'll find today. All this without breaking the bank. Highly recommended.

24/06/2026: 10-star restaurant!! Very elegant location, with a well-kept outdoor area. The Patti tasting was truly delicious, with a mix of flavors and, above all, a plating that was meticulously crafted. It makes me want to go back! Congratulations!

19/06/2026: Charming little restaurant. Really welcoming and expensive. But it's worth it. Great atmosphere and delicious wine and food. It was almost closed, but we were still able to stay. Fantastic! A real hidden gem.

28/03/2026: I visited your store today with high expectations, but I was very disappointed. The music on the sound system was often interrupted by messages warning of checks to prevent theft. When I tried on a pair of shoes, the security guard approached to check on me. The same thing happened when I was leaving with my mother. I felt uncomfortable, almost as if I were under suspicion, when in fact I'm just a customer coming to buy something. A truly unpleasant experience; I won't be returning.

05/10/2025: For October, we grabbed a table in the sun, and it felt like we were on vacation, outside of Lombardy but in a tiny place by the sea. The idiosyncrasy also manifests itself in the atmosphere: upon entering, it feels like being in a beer garden, and it's truly hilarious to see how longtime aficionados are there. Very distinctive. It doesn't go unnoticed.
