26/12/2025: A simple, yet clean and basic place. Open late. The staff is experienced and professional. The pizza is good and the price is average. But the reasons that prompted me to write this are undoubtedly compelling: the arancini. Delicious! I tried them both with ragù and cooked ham, and I loved them. Another plus are the French fries: delicious, crispy, and generous. The service is basic, obviously, also because it's free. In conclusion, for a simple and informal evening with friends or family, €15-20 for food and drinks... well done.

17/12/2025: Quiet atmosphere, at least during the hours I go to pick up Amazon packages. For a late-night get-together with friends, perhaps even a slice of pizza (which I haven't tried yet). They say they make excellent pizza by the slice... I'll give it a try.

29/03/2026: We had a great time on all fronts! We were three families with children. The grilled fish was plentiful and very good, the pizzas excellent, the waitress was very friendly with our kids while they waited for their pizzas, the prices were fair, and our friends said the fish entrees were excellent too. If we return to the Varese area with our camper, we'll be back!

22/07/2025: We went there for lunch today by chance. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Three dishes were written on a board, and what a pleasant surprise! The best pasta all'amatriciana I've ever had. A very reasonable price for homemade food. A real treat!

07/04/2026: Silvia's courtesy and skill in the kitchen, Andrea's promptness and kindness in the dining room, and the quiet, understated, West Coast-esque atmosphere pleasantly surprised us, so much so that we've made this bistro our go-to in Varese. With different menus for breakfast, brunch, or a business lunch, it's sure to satisfy the gastronomic curiosity of the many regulars and occasional diners at this charming establishment next to the courthouse.

23/09/2025: Family atmosphere; everything's fine from 7:00 in the morning with delicious breakfasts and capable staff... BRAVE. Honestly, I'll change places in Laveno now due to the closing days. 16/04/2026: The owner is knowledgeable and very friendly, and the quality products are paired with excellent wines. A special mention goes to the cicchetti, which are delicious.

20/02/2026: It turned out to be a great place to enjoy a glass of wine with friends, ideal for those who want something refined but unpretentious. We washed it all down with a couple of cicchetti: one with blue cheese and raspberry sauce, the other with stracciatella, anchovies, and lime. Truly devastating, the pairings were successful and anything but banal 😋 You can tell they paid attention to both quality and pairings; they managed to create a nice contrast in flavors. The staff is very friendly and can also offer good wine recommendations, although the second time I was there, they sometimes missed us for at least a quarter of an hour. Perhaps a little more attention would be needed. It's nice to see how a bond develops between bartender and customer in a bar; it makes for a more welcoming experience. We chose two reds: an Austrian Bruckner St. Laurent 2019, very rounded and pleasant to drink, and a Tuscan ATRIVM Orcia DOC Sangiovese, also interesting and well-balanced. The place is small but quiet, near Piazza della Motta, well-designed and with an intimate atmosphere that lends itself well to a leisurely chat over a good glass. Recommended for a relaxed, quality aperitivo, unlike any other.

12/04/2026: I wonder who the fool is who dared to give this osteria less than 4 stars. Super cute place, but above all, the food is PHENOMENAL. Let's repeat it: PHENOMENAL. Highly recommended, especially the risotto. The dining room staff is incredibly friendly.
