Osteria Melograno In Angera

Exquisite cuisine, a classy and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was perfect from the appetizer to the dessert; I highly recommend it.

Truly high quality. Let's start by saying that this is a truly high-end restaurant, quite different from your typical osteria, both in terms of the menu and the location. The location is meticulously crafted, with a beautiful open kitchen and countless bottles of wine displayed throughout the restaurant. The menu isn't extensive, and I appreciate that, but there's still a nice variety, and the ingredients used are top-quality. This is obviously reflected in the price, which, in my opinion, isn't excessive, as the portions are generous. I've had the opportunity to try quite a few dishes on the menu, and I can absolutely guarantee that the chef is exceptional: the cuts of meat were perfectly prepared, as were the pasta and dessert. If I really had to find a couple of flaws, I'd say the Monate peaches weren't as crispy as they usually are, and the duck was overly covered in cherries/black cherries, but that's just personal preference. For the rest, I can only say I am satisfied with the experience, which I will absolutely do again.

Excellent food, slightly high prices. Very poor quality wine by the glass. Only two fingers. The meat was brought to the table to see how it was, but no scales to check the weight.

A stunningly clean and aesthetically pleasing venue. We tried it for an evening dinner. The menu is highly innovative, using top-quality ingredients. The wine list is extensive and will satisfy even the most discerning palate. The staff is up to the task, and the chef is highly motivated and believes in what he offers. Prices are reasonable and in keeping with the overall quality.

The food we ate was good, but the prices were decidedly out of line, and even more so, they weren't justified by the almost nonexistent and extremely slow service. Also, the bathroom is outside the restaurant. In winter, you have to wear a coat to use the bathroom.

Not a bad place, food is quite varied with perceived average quality, high prices: 12 euros for dessert, it doesn't exist....

Beautiful restaurant. Friendly service. Excellent timing. The food was absolutely outstanding. Wow, really wow!

The price/quality ratio is too high. Wine starts at €30 a bottle and €8-10 a glass. Dishes are overpriced. The atmosphere is tidy and clean, but there's no lake view.

Excellent food, especially the truffle tartare.
