12/09/2025: You'll find the best gelato in Como here :) Generous portions and super fair prices, unlike other gelato shops in the center! All the flavors are excellent, my favorite is the grape strawberry and apple with a vegan cone! The staff is incredibly kind and friendly! If you're passing through Como, stop by, I highly recommend it!

11/10/2025: 5-star luxury? At Uncle Pippo's Shack Osteria, these things don't happen. €52 for two drinks, and we were served an aperitif with this spoon. I was both indignant and disgusted at the same time. It's out of the question to find these things in a place that claims to be 5-star luxury. On the verge of calling the NAS, I left with €50 less and feeling nauseous, because I realized afterwards that the spoon was dirty, even though I was using it at the beginning!!! DON'T GO THERE.

26/04/2026: Unfortunately, I have to give a negative review because I ordered a few takeout pizzas and was disappointed. They were small, had little topping, and were packaged in a plastic container that made them cool quickly. I'm sorry, but I won't be back.

04/06/2026: Just got here and having spent some time at a lovely hotel in Garda this was disappointing. So many issues that if they addressed them this might be a decent hotel. Issues included No fridge/ mini bar Tepid water in the tiny shower Cheap plastic shower cubicle Curtains that don't fully close When we walked up the steep incline to the pool there was dog faeces on the grass Tiny lift Air-conditioning unit that is too noisy No hand towels Stupid little packets of shampoo but no conditioner Wardrobe space inadequate I could go on but if I just say it's a tired old hotel needing an upgrade you will get the picture FURTHER TO THIS Having just got of the lake ferry we have been moved to a much nicer room which has been brought into the 21st century and we are much happier. So, apart from a minor issue and one very surly waiter who was rude to my wife yesterday things look much better today. The staff have been very helpful today.

28/12/2025: We had dinner with friends. The place was down-to-earth, and the staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. We ate very well; the meat was excellent, as were the appetizers. The price was very competitive.

07/04/2026: Good evening, I was with my boyfriend on Easter Monday, a typically chaotic day with limited availability. However, this cannot allow for the following shortcomings. We arrived at the location (1:25 PM), which from the outside is very beautiful and rustic, characteristic of the area, with a small but welcoming interior and family-run restaurant. We were welcomed by kind but completely disorganized waitresses, with a 10-minute wait for a table with no number. There was a complete lack of a paper menu, hastily dictated by the waitress without explanation or price (and some of the dishes were missing). We ordered a plate of penne and tortelloni with cream of porcini mushrooms, both, and for the main course, a double plate of polenta with venison (1 large Moretti beer and 1 Coke). The pasta was served (2:20 PM) straight out of the pan, with the service being too rushed. The pasta was al dente and completely lacking in salt. The second course, served a while after the first (3:15 PM), was quite good, but due to the wait, we almost lost our appetite. We waited fifteen minutes to pay for the bill, spending 70 euros, without dessert and with a cover charge for only two people. This caused us inconvenience due to the lack of internet connection and the card payment system not working. We left at 3:45 PM, the wait was too long due to the lack of staff and professionalism. It was an experience we won't repeat, with the price being excessive for the service received. The reviews have been the same for a long time, and the lack of improvement despite the criticism makes everything worse.

31/03/2026: A rather disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was truly lacking. The young waitress was not at all friendly, paying little attention to the customers, which created a rather cold impression from the start. As for the food, a major disappointment: a Caesar salad (€16) served... without any presentation. I also asked for bread, which never arrived, despite several reminders. Meanwhile, the table next to us, which had the exact same dish, was properly served with bread and dressing. It's hard not to feel a lack of fairness and consideration. This is all the more frustrating because these are basic restaurant service standards. An experience I will not repeat.

31/03/2026: We ordered drinks (two glasses of wine and a soft drink) while waiting for our food. Two men arrived with three dogs and sat at the next table. We called the waitress over to tell her we didn't want to eat next to animals, and she replied that it was normal. We asked her to charge us for the drinks because we would leave if we didn't, at which point the manager came over and threatened us if we didn't pay for the food we had been served. I absolutely do not recommend this place. The service was rude and very unpleasant.

25/04/2026: Terrible food.....I'm sorry because the place is nice and welcoming even if small....casonsei with butter and sage without butter and marinated chicken skewers served cold, or rather barely reheated.....

27/02/2026: Discovered by chance on the way back from Chiasso. A simple trattoria, run by a friendly, welcoming, and very kind couple. The dishes are simple, rustic, homemade, tasty, and plentiful. Reasonable prices, truly excellent desserts, the tiramisu and Sicilian cannoli superb.
