16/09/2025: We went for dinner. We had high expectations, but we were a bit disappointed. Excellent location, somewhat confusing service, and the food was definitely below expectations. It's more of a bar than a restaurant. Recommended for an aperitif, not for lunch or dinner.

14/09/2025: A wonderful experience at this family-run restaurant. Authentic cuisine, with beautiful, simple, and effective flavors, using quality ingredients. Very friendly service. A truly enjoyable experience.

30/07/2025: Tagliata di manzo cruda,non masticabile.Ho assaggiato solo due bocconi,dopo di che ho dovuto rinunciare. Dopo che ho fatto presente in cassa che ho dovuto lasciare la carne nel piatto, ho pagato per intero una cosa che non sono riuscito a consumare.

17/08/2025: A normal place. Service was quick and very friendly. The ice cream was delicious. Prices were reasonable.

15/08/2025: Well, I happened to come here, and that's exactly what I saw: it took them 45 minutes to bring two cups of ice cream. The poor waitress was all alone and had to do everything herself. The owners gave me zero hospitality! The place was packed, perhaps because it was August 14, 2025, but why not add a few more workers? I don't know the residents of Olgiate Comasco, but from what I saw, they were almost all rude, shouting nonstop the entire time we were there. In the end, we asked for two coffees, but after half an hour, we went to the counter to drink one since I had to pay and because I was getting nervous. The owners don't care, since there are people willing to put up with all this, and they're happy... I don't know if I'll go back, but maybe I'll prove it during my daily routine (not my holiday). I did find one good thing, though: the ice cream was good. Who knows, we'll see!

07/05/2025: Nous nous sommes arrêtés pour le déjeuner par jour de pluie. Côte de veau à la milanaise qui était excellente. Cadre sobre, bonnes recommandations de vin. Nous avons passé un bon moment.

02/05/2025: Posto molto bello in centro storico Bellagio, ma paghi solo la location , troppo caro per quello che mangi . Non ne vale la pena , cotoletta con patate dure a 28 euro , risotti a 23 euro , 5 gnocchi messi nel piatto che sanno solo di zafferano a 18 euro , manco da Borghese sono così i prezzi servizio di bassa qualita'. Locale solo per stranieri , giusto pagare il buon cibo ma non è questo il ristorante , evitate!

16/08/2025: We made a reservation on Sunday morning, August 3, 2025, for a table for four people for the evening of Monday, August 4, 2025. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone didn't tell me that—since Saturdays and Sundays in August are very busy—on Monday, 90% of the dishes on the menu we were given when we sat down WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE! We basically had to eat whatever was left over from Sunday (just polenta and cold cuts) because, essentially, there was nothing available! It's an absurd situation. The restaurant where the meal is served is very small, the tables are very close together, and it's difficult to communicate with friends and family due to the high noise level. The outdoor view is breathtaking, the mountain location offers a wonderful view of Lake Como... but that's not enough to get a favorable opinion from a customer who deserved to be warned, when booking, that this "Baita dal Vikingo" might empty its pantry on Saturday and Sunday, and that Monday guests will have to eat what's left after the onslaught of summer tourists on Saturday and Sunday. Not very serious. And for that, they were capable of charging us seventy-three euros.

16/08/2025: I tried a very creative dish with blueberry sauce, and my companion ordered a pear sauce. Both were savory with a sweet undertone - perfect match for the fantastic view. The patio space is on the smaller side, with wobbly tables. The cuisine was well worth tempering my restaurant pet peeves!

20/09/2025: First of all, I'd like to be fair and say that I can't comment on the food, as we left quickly. When we arrived at the restaurant, the waitress was completely overwhelmed with only two occupied tables. She didn't bring us to the table, which is normal, but simply left us standing there until we asked. Then it continued: the menus weren't brought to us. I took them myself. The menu doesn't specify specific prices, only that they charge by weight (so it could easily be €100). After 15 minutes, the only waitress asked us what we wanted to drink. She also casually told my husband that the children shouldn't jump around (that was a request; they were sitting perfectly well at the table). What was the last straw was the arrogant manner in which I asked the lady after 30 minutes if we could please order. Her response was: "You will and must wait," in a tone of voice and with a gesture. I simply asked her politely, but she could have told me she would come right away and take our order. We paid for the drinks and went to the restaurant next door, which was great and the staff was excellent! Never again!

29/08/2025: La Caveja is a little gem in Como. The lady serving doesn’t speak any English at all, but honestly that wasn’t a problem – she was friendly, smiling and genuinely eager to help. With a bit of patience and a few gestures, you can always find a way to communicate, and it actually adds to the charm of the experience. Most importantly, the piadina she prepared was absolutely fantastic – one of the best I’ve ever had. It did take a little while to be made, but the freshness and flavour made it more than worth the wait. A truly authentic Italian bite that feels homemade with care. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy real piadina in Como – simple, authentic and delicious.

24/04/2025: My trusted pizzeria forever and ever. I have celiac disease and I can really enjoy a delicious pizza from them in complete safety. They are also always very kind, so much so that from time to time we stop to eat directly there at the pizzeria and they are all nice. We feel right at home. Excellent gluten free and normal pizza. Thank you for existing and feeding us celiacs and our neighbors. ♥️

24/08/2025: I went to this restaurant, if you can call it that. I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I really felt the need. Starting with the dirty atmosphere, the placemats are left stained, the air is unbreathable, and the waiters are neither friendly nor competent.

05/08/2025: The pizza was good, but too thin for my taste, cooked in an electric oven. The paella could be improved. Very friendly staff.

08/10/2025: A truly wonderful experience, from the welcome to the attention to detail, to the presentation of the dishes that deserves nothing but applause. Each course is a small work of art: colors, aromas, textures, all conceived with taste and precision. The quality of the ingredients is evident, and the pace of the service perfectly complements the experience, never intrusive and always attentive. Every dish I tried was a feast for the eyes and the palate, from the appetizers to the main courses: a perfect balance of flavors, where nothing was left to chance. The only "alas"—and I say this with a smile—was the special tuna tartare, which itself was magnificent… if only it weren't for that super spicy red sauce! 😅 Being allergic to capsaicin (yes, that very molecule that gives chili peppers their flame 🔥), one taste was enough to make my stomach churn and I had to stop—a shame, because the dish had a fragrance and balance that inspired me so much. Usually, spicy dishes are marked with a chili pepper symbol, but unfortunately not this one, and hence my little "inner fire." Nothing serious, but enough to lower the rating by one star—not for the taste, but for the lack of a label. Otherwise, everything was perfect: from the kind and attentive service, to the obsessive attention to plating, to the authentic flavors that speak of passion and skill. If it weren't for that killer red sauce, it would have been a full five stars without a second thought!

26/09/2025: Excellent all-you-can-eat sushi, with a wide selection of dishes, some very unique in their presentation and flavor. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming, and the staff are friendly.

14/09/2025: Maybe we arrived on the wrong day or too late. The staff was kind and very polite, but it was obvious they were lacking a few hands to help them. My seafood calamarata was excellent, as were the platters, but my wife's gnocchi were overcooked, and the perch risotto wasn't risotto, but boiled risotto, flavorful but "dry," inedible (and cost €20 a plate). The roasted meats were also a bit overcooked and dry, and the portions were a bit small. We didn't order deserts; given our experience with the food, we didn't want to risk it, but again, I can't judge the desserts. The place was beautiful, the wait was a bit long, but the staff's friendliness and commitment made up for it. The price/quality ratio wasn't great. Out of politeness, we didn't complain, because for me, complaining can mean arguing and ruining the evening. Too bad, we wanted to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday, who was here from Spain, by having her try traditional dishes, but we didn't manage to make a good impression. I don't think I'll be back.
