14/02/2025: Excellent restaurant in the heart of via Borgovico. Excellent food, from the initial bruschetta, to the raw meat, the cheeses and the excellent meat. The owners, Marco and Mery, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our favorite for a relaxing evening of good food and hospitality. Even the wines, recommended by Marco, absolutely worth trying!

09/02/2025: The choice of cocktails is very particular: the list is long and they are all themed. You certainly have the opportunity to spend an alternative and fun evening. The waiters are helpful and very knowledgeable. The only (big) flaw: when we ordered they warned us that, starting from the moment the drink arrived, we would have to clear the table in an hour... I understand everything, but it doesn't seem correct to me, much less kind, to give customers an hour to consume everything, and then send them away, or force them to reorder again. They take advantage of it a little too much...

02/11/2024: Going to Tamola does not mean going to a hotel but is equivalent to entering a family, social and historical context. Approaching the counter and being able to dream and relive the life stories of the local population, smell the smells of the kitchen, priceless peace and tranquility... all seasoned with a family run business with disarming kindness and courtesy from times gone by, this is what the Tamola hotel is!! Homemade breakfast, excellent and full of flavours. Clean room and comfortable bed.. the kitchen is Tooooop according to the owner it is unpretentious in my opinion perfect and the dishes well executed and served. To top it all off, an exemplary and breathtaking view!! Please stay like this as long as you can!!

27/12/2024: Ottimi piatti, semplici, ma buonissimi con molta scelta. Servizio perfetto, veloce, gentili e sempre con il sorriso. Posto "alla buona", molto amichevole e prezzi popolari. Davvero un bel posto per pranzare con amici o pranzi di lavoro. Complimenti allo staff e al gestore.

28/10/2024: ¡Qué fabuloso hallazgo! En una parte tranquila del lago de Como, vale la pena buscar este lugar. La comida es muy fresca, local y deliciosa. El servicio es amable, tan eficiente y nada demasiado problema. El pescado del lago Agrodolce estaba delicioso, al igual que el pescado frito en mantequilla de salvia. El ravioli estaba delicioso con pasta muy ligera y deliciosa carne rellenando un caldo ligero. El vino era muy razonable y tan gran relación calidad-precio en todo. Búscalo.

27/03/2025: My recent visit to the Mercato 38 Restaurant was an exceptional experience from every point of view. The refined and welcoming environment creates the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The service was impeccable: the staff, courteous and attentive, were able to anticipate our every need, making the meal even more pleasant.  For the first time, I had the pleasure of tasting fried tripe, a dish that surprised me with its crunchiness and delicious flavor. The menu offers a variety of choices, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Particular praise goes to the kindness and professionalism of the staff, who contributed to making the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend Ristorante Mercato 38 to anyone who wants to enjoy great food in an elegant setting and with high level service.

21/03/2025: Classic intimate family evening. Great location, service and good pizza. We will try a family lunch. Definitely ideal for my future business lunches, we will evaluate.

29/03/2025: Hotel is nicely located right at the lake. Rooms are very old fashioned, entry looks more like a 4 star hotel. Service is not nice, clients wishes is not respected. In my case we wanted to eat outside on a terrace, which we haven’t been allowed. Although terrace was open and weather was incredible nice. We’ve been sent away unpolitely- Manager did not even excuse for that. At dinner a waitress accidentally put wine into a glass of beer of a guest. Only example for low skilled service. Food and breakfast was average, by far not what you would expect from a grand hotel. In all, nicely located, hotel overpriced, service unfriendly, rooms old fashioned. I won’t come back.

30/03/2025: We had lunch on March 29th with our nephew Andrea, his partner Alessia and their two children. Spectacular location overlooking Lake Lugano. Excellent home cooking, courtesy and availability of the owners who manage the farm. Excellent quality food from starters to desserts. Since the last stretch of the road is a bit rough, the owner makes his vehicle available to accompany and bring back customers. Highly recommended

21/03/2025: I entered this pastry shop attracted by the window display and with the idea of ​​buying chocolate as a gift. I asked for a more stable package for transport on the plane, even for a fee, but was denied with unhelpful tones. I was struck by the rigidity in offering such a simple service, especially considering that it is a pastry shop and not a luxury brand. Working in the luxury sector, I know well how much attention to the customer makes the difference. An attitude like this is not only disrespectful, but also ridiculous and, to be honest, very unprofessional. A few steps away, in the historic Ponti pastry shop, I found instead an impeccable welcome, attentive service and superior quality in a very elegant environment. A clear contrast between those who have understood what the value of the customer really means and those who, instead, hide behind an unjustified coldness.
