26/10/2025: We went there for lunch on a Saturday for the first time. Alexandre was ours! The place is very well-appointed, both in terms of decor and cleanliness. The bathroom was very clean, even smelled good! We were greeted with a big smile, and that stayed with us until the end of lunch. The menu offers a decent selection. The food is good and the portions are very satisfying. The burger is a real hit! The fries were well-cooked, not greasy, and crispy. The fig tart was really good. The price was certainly not fast food, but neither was the food and service! A more than satisfying experience. Thank you.

09/04/2025: unfortunately a very long wait... arrived at 11.50... served at 1.40... there were 3 of us, 2 served half an hour early, the third ate alone.... it wasn't very full... but poor organization... the reservation made had not been marked... endless wait even for the coffee that we decided to take at home...

12/10/2025: + The space is beautiful and refined, everything feels new. The food is good (though not amazing) - the linguine with clams was average, a little bland, the octopus was great and the seared salmon was good. The tiramisu is one of the best I've had in Italy. We managed (in October) to get a table without a reservation (on a Saturday night). - The service was inattentive and a bit rushed - being tourists we weren't as well dressed as the other customers, there were 2 mistakes in our orders (drinks and dessert). A note: it was Saturday night and the restaurant was very crowded, which may have impacted the quality of service. At 9 pm the noise made it impossible to talk. A bit expensive in terms of quality/price ratio. It tries to be a refined restaurant, but on a Saturday night it didn't succeed, considering the quality of the food, the service and the noise.

05/10/2025: A top-notch restaurant in Ponte Caffaro, nestled between two rivers. It has a terrace in a beautiful garden with views of the surrounding mountains. The food here is always delicious and very special. The wine is delicious, and the service is also excellent. We dined here in 2024, this time indoors because the weather wasn't great. The atmosphere inside was also lovely. This time we had 1kg of mussels (sauté di Cozze) to share as a starter, which was superb. Then we had Raviolini di Brasato and Bracioline di cervo (venison chops). Everything was equally delicious. We'll be back next year. Thank you. We also enjoyed it twice in 2025: once a delicious lunch with Italian friends, and a few days later a superb dinner.

30/10/2025: We celebrated our son's graduation yesterday and had a truly wonderful time: the aperitif was excellent, attention was paid to our intolerances and allergies, the location was truly beautiful, and the staff was kind and helpful. Thank you for making our party a success!!

17/10/2025: Let me start by saying, it's one of my favorite bars in the city. I'm often nearby for work, so I love spending time here. A few days ago, at 2:00 PM, with the terrace almost empty (two tables besides mine), I ordered a coffee. Half an hour passed between ordering and delivery. The young woman serving tables was calmly chatting with two customers at the table, while I and a couple of gentlemen, who had sat down shortly after me, were completely forgotten. The barista/coffee shop assistant was nowhere to be found and, apparently, didn't bother to call the server. Beautiful place, sophisticated, and with an excellent drinks list, but... the service NEEDS A REVIEW!!! I can't imagine what would have happened if I'd asked for something more elaborate.

09/11/2025: I went to La Sosta last night with some friends, a place we know well and which has always given us so many emotions, something that, alas, didn't happen last night. Last night was a special evening for this historic restaurant, which after many years no longer sees Mr. Aldo welcoming customers; however, outside the door we found the new manager, not welcoming us, but smoking. Once inside, after a decidedly perfunctory greeting devoid of any formality or introduction, he hastily put out his cigarette and asked us the name we had left for the reservation. Then he began repeatedly scanning the table layout without finding us, at which point Giampy finally appeared and escorted us to our table. But let's get to the menu. Forget the abundance of food from before, a minimal offering, not to mention more. Appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts all condensed into two measly pages. The amuse-bouche (for those unfamiliar with it, it's the free appetizer offered by the chef at the beginning of the meal) was cut from the rest of the menu, as were the small pastries accompanying dessert. Let's get to the dishes: The bread - definitely too dry The veal with tuna sauce - good, well presented, and well revisited The cotechino - always one of the restaurant's signature dishes (last night it was off the menu) had nothing to do with the cotechino we usually eat; crudely made, accompanied by purées and pickled radicchio (which had nothing to do with this traditional dish). The rose cake with zabaglione - small but good, even if the zabaglione wasn't there I'll end by telling this anecdote because it's incredible. At the register, we asked the new manager to split the bill between three so that each couple could pay their share; The absurd thing was that we had to do the division for him because even though he had his calculator with him, he couldn't tell us how much each couple should pay. We had to repeat the amount to enter on the POS for the second couple because he couldn't remember, and in this circumstance he told us (yes, but don't be a professor, eh?). Finally, last but not least, the couple who paid in cash, since they didn't have change, instead of giving them two euros off, he charged them three more. I forgot, he didn't even ask us if we'd like a liqueur, and when he told us "everything went well," he didn't even listen to our answer as if he wasn't interested. If this is the premise, I can only express my nostalgia for the old management.

22/11/2025: I returned to Al Porticciolo after a year. The location remains truly exceptional, practically on the lakeshore. The service has improved significantly, with the staff even more helpful and competent. The menu is even more extensive, the dishes beautiful to look at, but above all, delicious to taste. These are ancient dishes revisited with a modern twist. The desserts are also truly delicious; you can tell the people behind them are skilled, passionate, and use excellent products. I highly recommend it.

15/11/2025: I confess: I was supposed to go to the trattoria next door, but it was closed, and after a five-hour drive, I was so hungry I couldn't get back in the car. I'm so grateful to the owner of the trattoria for deciding to go on vacation because I discovered this place, which is definitely worth a second visit. I wasn't thrilled with the fried octopus, but the pasta, ladies and gentlemen, was exceptional. Spaghetti allo scoglio and linguine with clams were perfect for mopping up the pasta. The Gragnano pasta was cooked perfectly; after all, the owners (if I'm not mistaken) are from Campania and don't let themselves be influenced by the tastes of German tourists who prefer overcooked pasta. 😜 Also a mention for the attentive service and the guy who served us, who was super kind.

10/11/2025: A welcoming, charming, and well-organized restaurant in the center of Orzinovi; the staff is hospitable and well-trained, and the service is fairly quick. The chef offers a simple, well-balanced menu, showcasing typical local products. I haven't seen the wine list, but I imagine it's not bad; I tasted a decent local red. The cleanliness isn't bad, but overall there's room for improvement in the back row. If you want to eat well and quickly, this is the place. Good value for money.

19/10/2025: I ordered takeout.... Super friendly, excellent service... The food arrived still hot and delicious. The dessert, whose name I can't remember (a revisited cake with apple jam), was truly excellent! Congratulations. Average/high price.

10/08/2025: Great bar for breakfast and aperitifs. Giovanna, the owner, is incredibly kind and friendly.
