01/03/2026: In my opinion, the gelato is the best in the western part of Genoa. The gelato is strictly artisanal and made with natural ingredients, and they often offer special flavors. The only downside is the confusion inside when ordering gelato. They have a display for numbers, but they never use it, which creates a confusion that tends to be unbearable.

12/04/2026: Note: One year later. I gave this dinner as a birthday present to a dear friend of mine. We're from Brescia, and even though we weren't familiar with Genoa and went blind, we weren't disappointed. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised: the welcome and service were impeccable, and we felt pampered. The dishes were fabulous, meticulously crafted, with a few modern twists. The chef was very kind, helpful, and friendly. It was a truly successful evening, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

23/03/2026: While traveling along the Faiallo Pass, I stopped at Trattoria dello Scoiattolo. I couldn't have made a better choice!
This small and delightful trattoria is located next to a small church. I waited a few minutes, but it was worth the wait. They offered a daily menu, and although there was a wide selection of first and second courses, I opted for the à la carte menu. The tagliolini with wild boar ragù was abundant and fabulous, the cima alla genovese was excellent, and the apple pie was delicious.
The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity.
After lunch, we relaxed briefly on a bench shaded by trees in the area in front of the little church.

We were delighted with the focaccia.
The only downside is the extremely high noise level in the left part of the restaurant, where there are no white place settings.
21/04/2026: Every year I have to go back specifically for the focaccia and the pesto trofie. I watch the rest pass by, it looks and will be delicious, but since the 1970s, I've been going for the focaccia and the trofie.

The rest of the food is average.
I would improve the service; it's inattentive and sometimes rude.
I understand it was packed, but the diner shouldn't lose out.
The quality/price ratio is medium-high.
09/04/2026: We ate at the restaurant for dinner on Wednesday, March 8th. Excellent service from the waiter, who was very knowledgeable and tactful with everyone. Excellent traditional Ligurian cuisine. Highly recommended! Well done!

08/04/2026: This restaurant is located on the Rapallo seafront, with a beautiful panoramic window. It also has a (small) outdoor area. Service is quick and ordering is easy. Those who prefer the à la carte menu order from the waiter; those who prefer the all-you-can-eat menu write down the quantity and number of dishes on a piece of paper. The waiter will then take note, and the food will arrive shortly. Desserts, service charge, and drinks are not included. The quality is very good, and the staff is friendly. The price is average. It's worth a visit, especially since the cuisine ranges from Italian, Chinese, and Japanese dishes.
