The only downside is the confusion inside when ordering gelato. They have a display for numbers, but they never use it, which creates a confusion that tends to be unbearable.

01/11/2025: Good food, very unpleasant service. They have two different menus on their website and in person. When you order, they don't try to help you despite the lack of customers. The cashier is very rude and can't answer simple questions and asks questions like "Do you need cutlery?" for a takeout order. Maybe they're waiting for me to eat with my hands, I don't know. And the plastic forks were killer.

We then tried calling several times to cancel the reservation, but since we don't speak Italian, they simply hung up on us. Despite this, they still tried to charge us several times, which is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant that calls itself a gourmet restaurant. In any case, I don't recommend it. Friends who had eaten there had already advised me against it. I highly recommend the Zeffirino restaurant, however, which is truly incredible! 01/02/2026: An excellent restaurant in a delightful location. We visited in the winter, but it's definitely worth a visit in the warmer months because of the lovely garden. Excellent food and excellent service. Prices are moderately high, but the quality of the food is worth it. Highly recommended!

It goes without saying how delicious their products are, such as Ligurian focaccia (well-drenched in olive oil), cheese focaccia, and pizza. I didn't have a chance to try the bread or desserts, but they looked absolutely inviting. It alone is worth a stop in Santa Margherita Ligure, and now, picking up takeout to enjoy in Portofino has become a tradition!
