I will definitely return next year with my wife and son to sample the restaurant's specialties and enjoy the refined, warm atmosphere.

12/11/2025: Good food, fast service, and excellent value. We've been here a couple of times and have always enjoyed the food, trying different dishes, both the daily specials and the set menu. They bring a basket of bread, focaccia, and crostini, which is delicious. The waitresses are quick, professional, and friendly. The place is small, but well-organized and very popular, so reservations are recommended.

04/10/2025: Pestobene serves one of the best pestos I’ve tried in Italy — rich, fresh, and full of authentic Ligurian flavor. The staff were warm and genuine, giving it that true local touch. There’s no seating available, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot, but absolutely worth stopping by if you want to taste real Genovese pesto. Highly recommended!

03/10/2025: Best pesto ever. We ate the small focaccia with pesto here, and afterward, because the pesto was so delicious, we had the fresh wheat trofie with pesto. It's great that you can specify how much trofie you want. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Genoa.

The lunch was perfect, everything delicious, the dining room in the grotto was gorgeous, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Fantastic fried porcini mushrooms... Truly delicious homemade ravioli. The Ligurian-style rabbit was truly excellent. And last but not least, the homemade chocolate cake... divine. For two, we paid €62 in total... including another first course and house wine 🍷. The service was prompt and unobtrusive, yet always attentive. Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations. 01/11/2025: Good food, very unpleasant service. They have two different menus on their website and in person. When you order, they don't try to help you despite the lack of customers. The cashier is very rude and can't answer simple questions and asks questions like "Do you need cutlery?" for a takeout order. Maybe they're waiting for me to eat with my hands, I don't know. And the plastic forks were killer.

07/10/2025: A guarantee for over thirty years!! For every event and birthday, I'm always sure of a great deal with them. Friendly, kind, and helpful, they fulfill every wish with excellent cakes. Not to mention the panettone at Christmas. Always a 10/10.
