This osteria is an absolute temple of pure, traditional Umbrian cuisine, the kind of cuisine that has been passed down through generations—TRUE cuisine. It's a wonderful place, staffed by exceptional and special people. Incredible elements and flavor combinations are the best you could wish for. All these elements are brought to life by the heart and soul of the incredible and talented Chef and owner. He possesses an absolute, top-notch technique that allows him to craft ingredients like very few others, resulting in dishes that are beyond unique and incredibly flavorful. For the owner-chef, perfection is a fundamental concept, and he strives to surpass it, ALWAYS. The expertly crafted ingredients, beyond perfection, blend seamlessly with the highest-quality raw materials, used with incredible skill. The dishes intoxicate the palate and the senses...everything is a caress for the soul. The ingredients were cooked sublimely. A tip: Umbricoli with Reggiano and black truffle. I have NEVER eaten better Umbricoli in my life! Here, the cuisine and drink, rigorously traditional, are a true art, a journey through sight, smell, and taste, but above all through the feelings and emotions that the Chef, preparing dishes unlike any other, evokes in those who enjoy them. This wonderful place is pure, more than unique, talent. Emotions of the soul were enhanced by the smiles and infinite kindness of the wonderful Giulia, who manages the dining room service with extreme skill. Giulia's service is characterized by an above-average level of preparation, professionalism, kindness, courtesy, friendliness, and absolute precision. La Locanda del Tartufo is a continuous flow of flavors and emotions that begin with the consistency of the ingredients used and then culminate in the perfection of the evolution from the first bite. Two elements predominate: the preparation technique and the highest-quality raw materials. This quality standard allows the customer to fully enjoy the flavors. The ingredients are crucial in enhancing the flavors, which, in the mouth, appear clean and full-bodied, yet delicate and persistent. La Locanda del Tartufo is a place where time stands still and everything becomes a dream come true. The quality of the products is probably one of the three best I've ever experienced in my life. Everything that comes from the Chef's hands is impeccable, and you'll discover unique details you won't find anywhere else. Culatello...it's so delicious! I wish I could transport this place everywhere, along with those who are part of it, to make every moment unique and wonderful. 20/12/2025: I chose to return to this restaurant after a few years with my girlfriend to celebrate a special occasion. I couldn't have made a better choice. The atmosphere was perfect, from the music at just the right volume, the lighting, the attention to detail, the impeccable service—I don't know how else to describe it—and the carefully curated and unique menu. Every dish exudes passion and attention to detail, from the freshly baked bread (delicious!) to the fantastic homemade panettone served at the end. We felt truly pampered from start to finish. A place that will stay in your heart. Highly recommended.

29/05/2026: So if you want to taste different flavors, it’s the best place to grab pizza by the slice. There’s always a large variety of pizzas available. You pay by the weight of your slice, but it’s really cheap. There are also a few tables outside. The beverages are quite expensive, so it’s better to grab some from the vending machine across the street.

28/05/2026: Excellent pizza, perfect for a lunch or whenever hunger hits. One note for anyone unfamiliar with this kind of place: it is fine not to see prices on display, it’s not a scam. You pay depending on how much you take, whether that is a whole pizza or just a slice cut to size. Highly recommend.

03/06/2026: Beautiful setting and presentation, polite if also calculated service, and food that was visually refined but tasted unremarkable and bland. The truly strange moment of the visit, however, involved the olive oil. Rather than being available at the table, it was waiter-served in tiny quantities. After receiving only a few drops each, we asked for more and were flatly told this was not possible! He then seriously invited us to an olive oil tasting instead, wow, adding insult to injury... Only after the next table received their own carefully rationed spoonfuls around ten minutes later did the waiter return and offer us more as well — perhaps realizing that olive oil in Italy should not feel like access to a rare controlled substance. Complete fail and auto sabotage for a supposedly high end, certainly high priced place as theirs! Altogether, it felt like a place prioritizing style, ceremony, and formality over substance, generosity, and heart.

15/05/2026: The concept of Roman pizza completely reimagined Quality ingredients and meticulous attention to detail Very good appetizers The pizzas, at least the ones we ordered, were truly delicious; you could taste all the flavors, everything was very balanced. The wine and beer selection is also very good. For the warmer months, there's also an outdoor area within the walls of this beautiful little village. Well done, guys.
